Perfect for family vacations!

  • 5 of 5

Three generations of our family spent the entire week together at this home in March, and it was perfect for our needs. The location of this home is perfect. Set in a quiet family neighborhood within walking distance to the excitement of Pearl Street, we did all of our traveling in town by foot. Another highlight of this rental is the enormous backyard, which offered a ton of space for lawn games and grilling out. Being that the weather was great, we spent much of our time in the back yard lounging around, playing bocce ball, and throwing the frizbee... the pictures don't even do this yard justice, it's HUGE! The beds were very comfortable and the large dining area was a great place for us all to gather and eat meals together.

As far as Boulder itself, what a great place for a family vacation. Many restaurants and bars within blocks and so many great places to hike and explore the mountains within 30 minutes.

This is a great rental for families and travelers looking to experience Boulder like they actual live in the community rather than just visiting.

Spacious home in ideal location, walking distance from Pearl Street, hiking trails and market

  • 4 of 5

We loved the location of this home, walking down to shops and restaurants on Pearl, hiking Mt. Sanitas and surrounding trails, in quiet "family" neighborhood. Historic Whole Foods Market 7-8 blocks away made cooking a snap. House is very sunny and spacious, nice that our teenager could be watching TV in the front room while we had quiet conversation in the dining room. Owner was very helpful with dining suggestions and details about the house. Several small issues arose during the stay but Carol was quick to respond regardless of the hour (and despite the fact that she was away on holiday herself). Would recommend to friends and family looking for similar.

i booked this home with great expectations only to be disappointed on many levels. This was the first trip i have taken with my boys and so many things went wrong here. First, the owner had just left minutes before we arrived only to find that the heat was set (locked) on some extremely low temperature. The night was freezing! We were able to fix the next day, but as an owner you would think she would have verified this??? the home was very sparsely furnished with pretty beat up stuff. no end tables?? Where does one set a drink??? There was a snow storm, very drippy roof so extremely icy stairs, no shovel or anything to take care of? Then the hot water heater broke! After a long day of hiking we had no hot water... The jets for the hot tub did not work and very poor lighting in back yard. The kitchen was another story, the cupboards were filty and i wouldn't have cooked in one pan, all very old and dirty. I did try to reach out to the seller for a response and asked for a day or two refund and no reply... should not be renting out if this is the type of care you give to someone....

Owner's Response: the heat is controlled by two arrows, one points up the other points down, I went out and bought Trish end tables, showed her where the light switch is for the back yard (which is also in the welcome instructions). All attempts to please her just made her more rude and fabricate more complaints. She ignored the house rules and checked out an hour and half late casually eating breakfast, then leaving the kitchen and dining room a complete mess, while the cleaning service was attempting a same day turn, causing us to be late for the arriving guests. I almost lost my valuable cleaner due to her behavior. after her departure she sent emails wanting a partial refund while she was "withholding a review"

Great location

This home is in a charming neighborhood and close to all the shopping and fun of Pearl Street. Carol, the owner was very accommodating and prompt with specific requests to help make our Thanksgiving day holiday complete. The backyard is huge and made a great play area for our granddaughter.

Great location and comfortable home!

  • 5 of 5

We came to Boulder for CU Family Weekend. Wanted a house to be able to send time with our daughter. This place was perfect! We had plenty of room for all 4 of us. Cute kitchen to cook our daughter a home cooked meal she was so looking forward to. Location was perfect. Close to Pearl Street and quiet neighborhood. House was very comfortable. Beds were comfortable as well. Nice big backyard. Driveway for parking instead of street parking which was a plus because street parking can be hard to come by. Cute porch and rocking chairs to relax on. Nice having two bathrooms. Washer and dryer were nice to have with a college student. BBQ was a plus. Owner was very nice. Would come back!!!
