All in all our apartment is a wonderful place to spend your vacation time.
My family and I have rented for over 10 years but we decided to buy when this apartment became available. My family and I spend our winters here and thought we would like our apartment to be open and used through the months that we were not able to be here.
Jacqueline Tsenes purchased this condo in 2008
During the winter months this is a very friendly, active community. We have made many friends and feel safe and welcomed. The Puerto Rican people are warm and friendly and there are people from all over the US that have been coming here for many years. Puerto Rico is Caribbean Community with American influences that make it comfortable and interesting. There is a community here that is very culturally aware. They are actively involved in music and art. There are Museums, Shows, Festivals and all manor of events. --no need ever to be bored... --happy vacationing...
There is a very active music and art community for us and many attractions like sailing, swimming, water sports of every kind, pony and horseback riding etc. There is something here for every one.

Yes, our travels home went smoothly. We definitely enjoyed your condo and greatly appreciated the boogie boards and sand toys. The views from the balcony and every window were enjoyed. Experiencing an earthquake on Christmas Eve was a new experience for some of us. The only disappointment was the 6 days of cloudy weather, which no one can control. At least the air was warm and the water was warm. We also enjoyed our hike in the rain forest. It was raining hard while we hiked, but that gave us the true sense of the rain forest. Again, it was a warm rain. .We also went to the old city of San Juan. The high surf kept us from snorkeling, but two of our daughters took a surfing lesson instead. Everyone made the best of it, and we enjoyed time as a family.
We were very happy with the condo. The views were spectacular. The rooms were spacious the beds were very comfortable. We would definitely stay here again.
Our family of 5 just returned from Puerto Rico. We are parents with 3 adult children. We wanted to make our base in Luquillo and this was the perfect spot. Perfect swimmable beach just steps from the apartment. The 3 bedrooms provided us all with a bit of privacy which was perfect. Living space was adequate. Kitchen small but updated and equipped with all that you would need to make meals. Having a washer and dryer was wonderful but we also availed ourselves of a mini clothes line on the terrace. The real treasure was the terrace. Perfect spot to drink your coffee in the morning or have a glass of wine at night and just chill while looking and listening to the surf. Heaven.
Unfortunately we had quite a bit of rain because of Bonnie's tail lingering in the area and causing some storminess. Just bad luck. The fact that we had this nice apartment to hang out in when the weather was at its worst was quite lucky. It would have been misery to be in a small hotel room! Plus the thunderstorms were super dramatic from that terrace.
Location is terrific. Close to the Luquillo kiosks, which were fun, and El Yunque. Very close to Fajardo and boating and snorkelling charters. We actually were able to avail ourselves of snorkelling toward the end of the trip when the weather cleared up. About 40 minutes drive to Old San Juan which was lovely to visit even in the rain. Plenty of terrific restaurants in the area. Two of our favorites were Boardriders and Lolitas for Mexican food and giant margaritas. We were just getting the hang of the area when we had to leave.
Try to get there when it is light. We took a late plane into San Juan airport and it was a little more nerve wracking finding the place in the dark. Everyone at the complex was very friendly. It was very secure with it being a gated community but we never felt nervous walking around the area. They will give you a temporary sticker for your car when you arrive. Have your paperwork from Ms Tsenes ready to hand to the security guard.
Obviously I highly recommend this condo. Hope you have much fun staying here as we did.
We had the best time. The owner very kind and responsive. The condo very nice, clean and beyond well equiped. Beach amazing, location great. Grocery store walking distance as well as restaurants and Wallgreens.
Absolutely loved this property. Best part was the view. North, East and west water view. South view of the rain forest. Wonderful to sit on the beach under the palm trees.
Location was great. Short drive to Amigo grocery store - could walk but it is across a very busy road. Econo grocery store was better for shopping.
Several good restaurants nearby -- In little Luquillo - Boardriders on water -- Aroma Cafe on town square for breakfast -- quaint little Pasta place. Nearer condo- the Brass Cautus. Possible to walk to any of these. There is also a Subway across the street. And, of course, we loved the Kiosks. Monfungo at #2 was really great.
Loved hiking in the rainforest - short drive. Zip lining YZA was fantastic. Bioluminescence tour out of Yardo was fun.
From start to finish, we truly enjoyed our stay! The owner was very prompt in responding to our questions, confirming our reservation and providing all of the information we would need once we arrived. We stayed in the condo from January 9-15 and only wished that we could have stayed longer! The location and apartment was as described but it's impossible to truly put into words how beautiful the view from the balcony is...you must see it to believe it. There was plenty of room for us (a family of four adults) when we wanted to be together, i.e. in the living area watching TV, sitting at the dining table, and plenty of room when we needed our space, i.e. three bedrooms, two bathrooms, the balcony. The apartment is clean and well-maintained...the well-stocked kitchen and full bathrooms look like they have been recently renovated. The furniture is lovely and the beds are super comfortable. There were plenty of towels (including big beach towels) but also a washer and dryer, which we used a couple of times...very convenient!
Luquillo and Playa Azul II is a perfect location to stay in while vacationing in Puerto Rico...close enough to visit El Yunque, get the ferry/plane to Culebra, visit Old San Juan, etc. We had a rental car and easily drove to the places we wanted to go to. Additionally, we were able to walk to a couple nice restaurants. Don't miss the Brass Cactus and Pasta Y Pueblo for dinner! There is a grocery store and Walgreens within walking distance as well.
We wouldn't hesitate to recommend this property to anyone who was looking for a lovely place to stay in PR. We'll definitely be back!!!!
This place is paradise- everything was clean as described. However what they don't tell you is the hidden secret treasures of PR. Fabulous hiking in the rain forest only 20 minute drive, pretty much your own private beach in front which my husband swam in every morning, awesome snorkel literately in front, and around the corner boogie board and surf. PARADISE!!!! everything is here plus the view. Grocery store next door, subway walking distance, everyone was so nice. Our family has traveled a lot and stayed in many VRBO condos and this is the all in one deal. Beds were comfortable with all the comforts of home.
