All in all our apartment is a wonderful place to spend your vacation time.
My family and I have rented for over 10 years but we decided to buy when this apartment became available. My family and I spend our winters here and thought we would like our apartment to be open and used through the months that we were not able to be here.
Jacqueline Tsenes purchased this condo in 2008
During the winter months this is a very friendly, active community. We have made many friends and feel safe and welcomed. The Puerto Rican people are warm and friendly and there are people from all over the US that have been coming here for many years. Puerto Rico is Caribbean Community with American influences that make it comfortable and interesting. There is a community here that is very culturally aware. They are actively involved in music and art. There are Museums, Shows, Festivals and all manor of events. --no need ever to be bored... --happy vacationing...
There is a very active music and art community for us and many attractions like sailing, swimming, water sports of every kind, pony and horseback riding etc. There is something here for every one.

Yes, our travels home went smoothly. We definitely enjoyed your condo and greatly appreciated the boogie boards and sand toys. The views from the balcony and every window were enjoyed. Experiencing an earthquake on Christmas Eve was a new experience for some of us. The only disappointment was the 6 days of cloudy weather, which no one can control. At least the air was warm and the water was warm. We also enjoyed our hike in the rain forest. It was raining hard while we hiked, but that gave us the true sense of the rain forest. Again, it was a warm rain. .We also went to the old city of San Juan. The high surf kept us from snorkeling, but two of our daughters took a surfing lesson instead. Everyone made the best of it, and we enjoyed time as a family.
The property was easy to get to and is a gated community. There was always ample parking in the lot and entrance is controlled by security personnel. Being on the 21st floor was amazing - it's a corner condo, so the view from all sides is fantastic and it feels very private. The condo itself is lovely - 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, nice living area and the balcony with an incredible view. Every day we got up, walked out the back gate and we were on the beach! I have been to multiple beaches in Puerto Rico and Luquillo is one of my favorites! There is a Walgreens across the street with light groceries and down the road in Fajardo there is a Walmart as well as an Econo grocery store. The fully stocked kitchen, laundry made it easy to feel at home. Jacqueline has a supply of beach items - chairs, cooler, noodles, boogie board, etc. I would bring additional beach towels as she only has two and condo holds 6 people. One of the best things about staying in this condo is that Jacqueline has a large book with different day trip options as well as a list of good restaurants with their favorites highlighted - we were so appreciative of that "inside" information! We had a couple of questions while we were there and Jacqueline was always very quick to respond. I am going to miss having my morning coffee/evening libation out on the balcony with the sound of the ocean waves...this was a great choice for us! I gave it 5 stars for being an incredible value!
The place was wonderful and clean. Beds are not the softest but definitely not the worst. The place was stocked with everything you could need. We loved Boardriders down the beach. The only thing I would change is that the living room is only furnished with one small couch. We are a family of five and we could not all hang out at night in the living room because there is not enough room to sit or lay comfortably. Also no area rug in living room so kids cannot even sit on floor comfortably because it's tile. Other than that, the place is everything it appears to be and more!
We absolutely LOVED our stay here! Our family of 6 (boys age 16 and 8, girls age 14 and 7) stayed for 10 nights and it was amazing. The views were incredible! Gorgeous views of the ocean and rainforest. The beach is only steps away, and is perfect for swimming and just enjoying the beach. Safe, calm, clean beach, but plenty of good waves for the kids to boogie board. Besides the views and awesome beach, the location was perfect! While we were there we did a snorkeling tour (aboard the Erin Go Braugh- it was AMAZING!) and parasailed, both in Fajardo which is a very short, easy drive from the condo. We also explored the rain forest and Old San Juan, again, easy drives. The condo is right by a bunch of great restaurants, a Walgreens, gas station, and grocery store. Our favorite restaurants were La Parilla and Revolution Pizza which were both in the Kiosks, Boardriders right on the beach, Brass Cactus (only a 2 min. walk from the condo), Lolita's, and Cuevo Del Mar in the Puerto Del Ray Marina in Fajardo. The balcony was my favorite part of the condo. We sat there every morning drinking our coffee and every night before bed drinking wine. Such great views, and so relaxing to just sit and watch and listen to the waves crashing. The condo is fully equipped with decent sized bedrooms with comfy beds, and updated bathrooms and furniture. It was clean and comfortable. The kitchen appeared to be fully equipped, although we never cooked with all the great restaurants to try! It was nice to have a fridge to store our wine and other beverages. Dishwasher, washer/dryer, and microwave were also handy. The condo was very safe, and also included beach chairs, toys, towels, and everything you would need for a day at the beach. Jacqueline was great to work with as well! If we ever get the chance to get back to Puerto Rico, we would for sure stay here again. Amazing condo with great views, beach and location, location, location. I did a ton of research before booking and could not have been happier with this place. Thank you Jacqueline for sharing your beautiful condo with us! Loved every single minute of our vacation!
Was wonderful to be so close to the beach! Also, the pool was great!
Loved the Apartment. The pictures in VRBO are nice, but the actual views were even more beautiful. We have been to Luquillo Beach so many times and we didn't even know about Playa Azul. The grounds were immaculate, the location was safe, but the apartment and the views were the best. At night time you can here the waves from the beach and the coqui's singing, awesome. Renting through VRBO was a breeze and the owner Jacqueline was very prompt with here responses and gave us all the information we needed. Three couples stayed for the week and the apartment was very comfortable. My favorite spot was the balcony. Thanks Jacqueline.
Flores Family and Friends.
We stayed in PR from 1/11/17 thru 1/18/17. Our family consisted of 2 children and 4 adults. The apartment was exactly as described. We had everything we needed. Extra towels, blankets, I loved the attention to detail in convenience such as the beach toys for the children and the beach chairs. We stopped in at Walmart near the airport on our way to Luquillo to pick up food and toiletries. I would recommend first going to the condo as we bought things that were already supplied at the condo such as dish detergent, laundry detergent, paper towels....etc. There is an Amigos grocery store right up the street from this condo. Their prices were reasonable and had everything we needed and more. The apartment is well taken care of with new paint, large sliding glass doors to balcony and furnishings. The beds were all very comfortable for good nights sleep. The condo complex is a gated community and you need key access for every door which exits or enters the complex or its amenities so keep they key available at all times. The staff is very friendly and many of them speak some English. The area is great for a touristic vacation for family or romance. We visited the rainforest, bought from local vendors right off the main route, and the kids even mounted horses nearby. Carabali Ranch is a must go for some good family fun including horseback riding, ATV rides, go carting and more. San Juan is an easy 40 min drive for further sightseeing and entertainment/food. The beach view of the condo is spectacular. The balcony is a great to read or have some coffee but do bring a light sweater as it is very windy being on the 21st floor. We had a pleasant experience and would definitely recommend this apartment if you are looking to stay in the area. Jacqueline is very attentive to any emails with questions that you may have. Thank you for making us feel at home.
