Great location with easy access to all of Portland. Only 2 miles to downtown Portland and OHSU and 10 miles from the Portland Airport. There are fabulous restaurants, cafes, bars, & grocery stores within a stones throw. Perfect location for public transportation & access to Downtown.

There is a beautifully landscaped private patio with French doors that lead out to a hardwood deck & gas grill. The area is so convenient for travel around Portland.

It was our first trip to Portland (our first air BnB experience actually) and we found the location close to everything, private, and cozy. David was accessible and a pleasure to deal with. We would definitely stay here again next time we are in the area. There are some fun bars nearby, our favorite nightcap spot was Apex, a beer bar about a mile away from the house. Super fun pinball and really close to the house. One of the best vegan restaurants in town is also just a mile away, Portobello Vegan Trattoria. Make sure to check them out when you're staying at the house. Thanks again!"

My 3rd Stay at CoraFlats was once again perfection

My wife and I have come each year for the last three years and I have to say, the owners keep adding details and upgrading stuff. It's always clean & well appointed but the best thing is how these guys keep upgrading linens, beds, towels & even furnishings. I even noticed the TV system had been upgraded & there as a new patio set. Last time we were surprised by brand new countertops in the kitchen & this year it was upgrades throughout! Also the area is really fun wth new restaurants and coffee shops that have sprung up. IT's really central and easy to get downtown. I will be coming back next year, thanks David and Doug

Beautiful Quiet Property - Ideal Central Location

My family very much enjoyed our stay at this "Flat" as the owner calls it. It's spacious, modern & seemed as thought it was recently remodeled. The location is perfect for getting around Portland & very nice for accessing the best spots in SE (Division, Hawthorne, Clinton, Powell). We had fabulous weather which was perfect for evening dinners on the private patio. The house is clearly well maintained and due to the value & quality of space, I'd recommend this place to anyone. We'll be back next year & look forward to staying at coraflats again.

Quiet and centrally located

This duplex is on a quiet street but still centrally located. There are lots of coffee shops and restaurants nearby. It was the perfect place to rest our heads while visiting family in Portland. The house has everything you might need. My kids called it the "fancy house".

I would've gone 3.5 Stars if it were an option

THE GOOD: Cora Flats is as pictured. The house is exactly as advertised, and is a reasonably upscale well decorated rental. I have no complaints about the house. The neighborhood looks a little strange, as the street dead ends at what appears to be some kind of warehouse, or truck parking, but I enjoy being off the beaten path and our stay was quiet. There were 3 couples in our group, and the house provided ample space. The basement is a basement, and is the least appealing of the 3 bedrooms, but is an adequate place to stay for a long weekend. The proximity to convenience stores and grocery stores was wonderful! We were able to walk 1/2 a block to the convenience store for toilet paper and beer, or drive to Safeway (<5 minutes) to stock up on groceries for the trip. There are a few other great destinations within walking distance including Hopworks Brewery, Gigantic Brewery, and a food cart pod, with a bonfire and live music, on Division street. Public transportation options seemed a bit limited, but we rented a car and all destinations (e.g. downtown, multnomah falls, PDX, Oregon convention Center) were reasonably accessible.

THE BAD: We were instructed, very specifically, not to arrive at the rental before 3:30 pm to avoid interrupting the cleaning lady. We did not arrive at the house until after 4pm, and the woman cleaning the house was far from finished. Upon our arrival she packed up and promptly left the house. Because the check-in instructions were so stern regarding interrupting the cleaning lady, I opted to call the owner and let him know what had happened. He seemed very casual about the encounter, and told me that it happens often when they have multiple checkouts in one day. I personally don't think that this is an acceptable business practice, as the rental never got entirely cleaned. There was still laundry in the washer/dryer, the dishwasher was still full, and the couple that slept downstairs had to launder their sheets because they "smelled like sweat." On Saturday, the same woman was cleaning the unit next door until 6pm. Fortunately the renters didn't show up until later. My only other complaint is a text message I received from the owner that read, "how many dogs stayed with you at Cora Flats?" I found the question odd because, the answer was zero. Once again during my vacation, I had to call the owner.

Amazing cottage

We decided to try out a VRBO over a downtown hotel and were very happy with our decision. Great easy location. The cottage itself was super cute. Fun and funky. Great gourmet kitchen and private deck. The bedrooms and amenities were very comfortable. We will consider the Cora Flats again in future trips to Portland!
