We are from Atlantic Beach, Florida and have owned a 2nd home in Treasure Cay for over 20 years.
It has been our great pleasure to share this wonderful place with guests who have never been to the Abaco Islands. Many of our Guests have returned for 2 and 3 more visits.
Pam Hathaway purchased this condo in 2000
Once you see the beautiful Beach in Treasure Cay, you will understand why it has been named One of the Top Beaches in the World. A plus for us, is that we can be settled in within 15 minutes once we land at the airport and start enjoying our time away!
The view is breathtaking!
Enjoy dinner on your own patio facing the Ocean. No bags to pack to walk down to to the beach...you are on the beach.
The last week in April, I was fortunate enough to spend a week in Treasure Cay with a friend. It was the perfect get away. The pictures on Pam's website don't do the condo justice. The condo is 1st rate. It's soooo comfortable, very clean and literally feet from the ocean. I've traveled quite a bit and the ocean at Treasure Cay is the prettiest blue I've ever seen. The sand is perfectly white. Being from Dallas I thought it might be difficult to get there, but it wasn't at all! Marsh Harbor has a nice airport that can land the big planes if that's your preference. Working with Pam made everything effortless. She really thinks of everything. Even down to the cab driver. I got to meet some really nice people there too. Everyone just wants you to have fun and relax. I can't wait to return to Pam's condo and Treasure Cay.
Just returned from an awesome week in Treasure Cay! I lost count of how many times I said "I can't get over how beautiful this place is"!!! The view from the condo is spectacular. The beach is very quiet and private. Most days we were the only ones out there. The water is crystal clear and very calm. Perfect conditions for snorkeling and paddle boarding. Pam was so great to work with. She wants to make sure that you have a great time and have everything you need while staying in her condo. She has put together a wonderful notebook full of great information and recommendations. It was a great resource that we used daily to plan our activities and meals. We brought our two children (15 and 25) and they had a great time. I highly recommend doing one of the boat excursions. We spent one day on a boat that included fishing, snorkeling, a visit to the swimming pigs on No Name Cay, swimming with the stingrays and sharks at Manjack Cay and lunch over at Pineapples on Green Turtle Cay. What a full, fun day and we also brought home plenty of fish to cook that night for dinner. If you are looking to get away from the rat race of life, Treasure Cay is the place to go! It is not commercialized, nor are there people bugging you to buy things (Mexico), instead, it is more of a real Bahamian experience. Everything there runs on "island time" and your entertainment is centered around the ocean, the beach and exploring the many different cays. We loved our time in Treasure Cay and couldn't have asked for a better location to stay while we were there. Thanks Pam for opening your condo to us so that we could create so many wonderful memories with our family!
This place is by far the best place we have ever been to! The beach is Pristine white sand and crystal blue water. We have never seen anything like it. We had a few issues getting to Treasure Cay (delayed flights/missed connections), but Pam was nothing short of AMAZING in guiding us through each step and promptly responding to all our questions! She even had the cab driver meet us late at night to pick us up from Marsh Harbor when we finally made it. The service she provided us was enough to want us to come back alone! I would HIGHLY recommend staying at this condo. It is absolutely gorgeous throughout and has a priceless view of crystal blue water for MILES! Pam really made our stay easy and outlined literally EVERYTHING to do in Treasure Cay and what you must do! Follow her advice and you will not be disappointed. She was VERY easy to work with and promptly responded to every question we had! This is our first time ever renting a condo (typically just do all-inclusive places) and we will definitely be doing it again soon! Thanks again for making this a dream vacation for us!
If you are looking for a Beach Vacation where you'll do nothing else but hang on your very private beach and play golf.. this is amazing! The condo is very private , beautiful and clean. It has everything you will need. I mean EVERYTHING down to the floating noodles for the ocean or the pool !! The owner is fabulous, Pam will go out of her way to make sure you enjoy yourself. She is very available to her renters. Don't expect night life and bars and parties... if that's what you like, Treasure Cay isn't for you. This is a quiet place with very little to do. But isn't that exactly what a vacation is for ?? If you are on a budget, bring some food from home like cereals, peanut butter etc... food at the grocery store is VERY expensive but if money is not a problem the store has everything you need. Of ALL Abaco, this condo is the best located. Right on the beach, the view is spectacular. The beach itself is very clean, the water light turquoise , no sea weed, no jelly fish... just white sand as far as the eye can see. Go to the Point at low tide for amazing sand bars... Take the Ferry to visit other keys or use Pam's taxi driver to go to Marsh Harbour... My husband and I made it a point to drive the golf cart around Treasure Cay every night . The night air, the stars and moon, the gorgeous homes and marinas... it was magical !! We are already saving for next time!! Thank you Pam for the most amazing beach vacation of our lives!
This unit is in a very small condo development that is a short distance away from the more bustling part of Treasure Cay. As such, the broad, beautiful beach is never crowded yet restaurants and other amenities are not far away. This unit is in the prime location on the end facing the water and is steps from the sand. You can hear the surf even if the sliding glass door is closed!
The condo is VERY well equipped for any kind of cooking you desire; the owner has thought of virtually every utensil/dish you might need. And, it even has an outdoor cooker on the patio. We suggest stopping at the supermarket in Marsh Harbor on the way in; it is a very good grocery store. There is a smaller grocery in Treasure Cay in case you need to restock.
There are at least 2 TVs (I didn't check the other bedroom) and there is plenty of room for lounging. There is also a small, sheltered pool area that was deserted every time we checked. It's a nice, comfortable, homey place to stay.
Down the beach is a great sand bar area should you want to explore or snorkel. There are also a couple of very good restaurants on the beach: The Coco Beach Bar and the Bahama Beach Grill---both within walking distance and have very good grouper, conch fritters, and other fresh island food.
We recommend you use a golf cart; Pam, the owner, has the connections to get just what you want and it makes trips to the store, restaurants, etc. very easy. We visited the Treasure Sands restaurant a few times (and it was the only major one open that Monday night). It is expensive but a great experience. The Treasure Grouper was outstanding.
We also enjoyed fresh bread and cinnamon rolls from Florence's. They were a special treat! It was recommended by Pam who is a great source of info and seems genuinely concerned for your enjoyment.
In short, if you like your beaches broad and white and your water clear, it's hard to beat Treasure Cay and if you want a place that provides for all your needs while making that great sand as close as possible, this unit at the Sand Dollar is just what you're looking for!
We vacationed here in August 2013. We usually stay in resorts and like most people, I was skeptical with regards to safety and cleanliness. I felt safe the entire time and was amazed at how clean and tidy the place was. Pam has thought of everything and has supplied the unit with anything you could need. Before leaving, we had advised Pam of when our flight arrived and she did the rest. Pam ensured that we had a taxi driver at the airport upon our arrival (who also provided a brief tour of the area for us). She ensured that a golf cart was at our unit for our use during the trip and even called us to ensure that we had figured out the internet! We are both attorneys and were looking for a quiet place to vacation, without interruption. The beach was amazing! We saw maybe five people on the beach during our stay. We loved to spend most of the day on the beach, taking brief trips to the coco beach bar for lunch and the treasure sands for dinner. Overall, if you are looking for a place where you can spend time truly relaxing without worrying about water sports, crowds, and reserving a beach chair, this is the place for you. We have been home for a month and are already trying to find time to return.
Snorkeling, boating, day excursions to other islands and throughout Abaco are easily available.
