We built, own and operate Cabins of Asheville, so when you stay with us and need something we can and will be able to help you. This is what we do and we love it ! Our names are Eric and Joey and along with our wives Christy and Jill work very hard to make each stay a great one for our guest. Vacation rentals are our passion and it is our goal for you to feel like each time you stay with us that you are coming to your own mountain cabin. Eric and Christy have four kids and Joey and Jill have five kids. We both believe and support adoption. We love animals and that is why most of our cabins are pet friendly. Early hiccups, nice finish.

  • 4 of 5

We had a housekeeper arrive at the door about 30 minutes after we arrived, needing to finish some turn-over duties. We made our reservation 2 days in advance and she had not been told anyone was checking in that day and was finishing late. Thankfully, we were decent! She was able to get out after around 10 minutes of work.

Thankfully, we checked the hot tub's temperature soon after we arrived. It was at 97 degrees (102 degrees programmed) and not heating. We contacted Joey (barely... be prepared for very poor cell coverage... texts worked well from certain spots... Wi-Fi available) and things started getting better.

Joey had to come out twice for the hot tub, but by the time we returned from dinner that first evening, the tub was hot and everything else about our stay was great. Another pointer for the Bearadise Ridge cottage... there is no lighting on the otherwise-awesome deck (where hot tub is). We turned on lights in the two bedrooms facing the deck (not the master br) and opened their blinds for deck lighting after dark, which worked great).

My final compliment goes to Joey again, for coordinating a 1pm checkout (2 hours later than their 11am standard) for us on our departure day to compensate us for the housekeeping call on our first afternoon. Not being rushed on our last morning was SO NICE!

I would NOT expect to have issues if you rent from here, but if you do, you can expect that they will be attended to until they are resolved to your satisfaction... and THAT is more important than a perfect stay in our book. Things will come up from time to time, but knowing the staff is the type to resolve them well is a really big deal.

Owner's Response: We are very apologetic about the cleaning staff showing up at your cottage after you had already arrived. This almost never happens. Our cleaning staff is normally finished by 3:00 at the latest. We had, in fact, sent our cleaning staff the new schedule letting them know that it needed to cleaned by 3:00, but somehow they overlooked that notification. Thank you so much for being understanding of this, and we are sorry for the inconvenience that it may have caused. We truly want every one of our guests time with us to be memorable and enjoyable. We go to great lengths to make sure that everything is absolutely as perfect as it can possibly be. If there is a way that we can fix any problems you may have while staying with us, then we will do our best to do so. Please come back and stay with us again in the future. Thanks, Cabins of Asheville

This was our third trip to Bearidise and as usual it did not disappoint. Clean, comfortable, and such a cute place. It's close to downtown but still secluded enough to feel like you're out in the woods. We absolutely love it here and we will absolutely be back.

Great Mountain stay

  • 5 of 5

This is the second trip to Bearadise Ridge for my wife and I. We had a great time our first trip, and we are glad to say the second was just as fantastic. All the accommodations of home, with a great view and hot tub. Not too far from civilization, but far away enough to enjoy. House was clean upon arrival, and the weekend went well. We like the decor and personal touches on some of the furniture inside. They make for great conversation pieces. Would definitely stay here again.
