Enjoy paradise in this darling 'casita' situated on the grounds of one of the most admired private properties in downtown Boquete.
The cozy, comfy and convenient one-room guest cottage sits behind a charming wrought iron gate overlooking a beautiful bubbling stream.
The 'casita' is stocked with mini-fridge, microwave, toaster-oven, electric kettle and coffee maker - the basics for preparing breakfast or a light meal. Wi Fi and Apple TV with over 100 movies loaded for free viewing. (No cable)
The casita is easily accessible- no stairs, walk in shower. It is not wheel chair accessible, however.
Walk to language school, restaurants & cafes, shopping, golf course, eco-touring, transportation! Or just hang out in the hammock, listening to the running stream.
The setting is perfect for a romantic weekend, a week of Spanish language immersion, or a longer visit to explore all of the region.
If you are considering a move to Panama, I would be happy to answer questions and give you some 'insider' tips.
I am an artist, working in multimedia- acrylics, oil, fiber, collage, polymer clay. I give classes from time to time in my home studio.
My late husband, Mort, founded Morton's Bakehouse, a well known artisan bakery in Alto Boquete. I am continuing his legacy, running the bakery. A delicious fresh bread awaits you!
Maggie, my sweet Labradoodle, and I look forward to welcoming you as our honored guests.
A brief listing of some local festivals and events:
November - a month of celebrations. Panamanian Independence Day Parades. Local celebrations in Boquete are colorful, fun, with parades of darling school children dressed in beautiful costumes.
December - Christmas and New Years celebrations, parades and displays
January - The International Boquete Flower and Coffee Fair. Music events at night are, regrettably, noisy throughout the entire valley - bring ear plugs! The flowers bloom all season! Generally held the third week in January.
February - World-Class Jazz & Blues on the slopes of Volcan Baru, in February. This is a great event - getting bigger and better each year.
March - Orchid Fair in Boquete - professional and amateur growers vie for gold medals. Generally held end of March, beginning of April at the Fair Grounds.

In town, central location but secluded, gated and private.

Great little cottage right in the middle of downtown Boquete, but off the main street so very peaceful with a lovely garden. Barbara was a very charitable host, helpful in every way, and Maggie is a lovely dog. Do check out the bakery if you get a chance!
This place is incredible! Right next to the river so there is very little traffic noise. Safe and secure. The cottage has everything you need and if you don't have it Barbara will help you find it. There are fresh herbs and fruit for you to enjoy throughout the property. Loved seeing Maggie (the dog) every morning when we woke up. The location is perfect. We went to the mini canyons and enjoyed a coffee tour. Walking around town is easy and everyone is very friendly. Dinner at Colibri was delicious. We will be back. Thanks Barbara!
Barbara & Maggie are the most perfect hosts.
The castia is well equiped and the location by the river makes it very zen like. Its a quick walk to just about everthing, and Barbara has amassed a binder with the places to eat and see during your stay. Enjoyed are stay immensely. Thank you.
A beautiful casita to enjoy Boquete! Everything is within walking distance, yet it's a private retreat to escape, as well. Barbara has thought of everything to make your stay enjoyable and has a wealth of information about the area.
Barbara is an extremely warm and friendly person who makes you immediately feel at home; a part of the family and dear old Maggie does much the same - even to cat people such as us!2333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333330. All those numbers were just added by Milo, the cat; no kidding.
Wonderful hostess Barbara, with great co-host, Maggie. Maggie loves treats and ear scratches by the way.
Fabulous casita. Everything you could need.
1 block from Main Street, and easy walk to many great restaurants, bars and tour operators. A little traffic noise in the morning but overall, a great location.
Loved Casa de Cusco for dinner, and the service was superb. Sugar and Spice for breakfast, Mikes for lunch and drinks ECT. All about 1-2 blocks.
Many thanks to you Barbara.
PS Wednesday and Saturdays are Rueben days at Mortons Bakehouse, a quick 'under a dollar' ride south of town to a great bakery. Ask Barbara about it!
Private art classes on site, climb Volcan Baru, tour coffee estates, bird watching, hiking, yoga, fitness, rock climbing, horseback riding, beach and fishing
