Loggerhead Cay unit 514 offers endless water views from this top floor luxury unit. This condo is a Gulf Front unit in building five of Sanibel Island's premier weekly rental destinations. Unit 514 has been completely renovated in an open floor plan style and will not disappoint! We can comfortably sleep six guests with two bedrooms, two bathrooms and a queen size sleeper sofa. Bedrooms are large and private. Unit 514 has plenty of closet space, flat screen TV's and comfortable bedding and towels. The Screened Lanai overlooks the Gulf, is very comfortably appointed, and a great place to enjoy coffee, meals, or a cocktail.

Loggerhead Cay sits on a beautiful world famous shelling beach, offering convenient access to the causeway, bike and walking paths, marinas, and many other attractions. Ding Darling National Wildlife Refuge occupies almost a third of the island and is home to spectacular migratory birds, manatee, alligators, bobcat, and many species of wildlife. There are several shops, galleries and restaurants nearby, as well as two full service grocery stores. Within the complex, there is a heated swimming pool, tennis courts, shuffleboard, BBQ grills and picnic tables.

This condo features high end furnture throughout. The thoughtfully designed gourmet kitchen is fully equipped for entertaining or just enjoying a meal with one of the best views on the island. Dining table seats six, and enjoys incredible Gulf views - better than island restaurants! The flat screen television disappears into the granite windowsill offering unobstructed views. The master bedroom welcomes you with a comfortable queen mattress, luxury linens, en suite bath, built-in cabinetry, and full sliding doors opening to the glassed/screened lanai overlooking the Gulf of Mexico. The lanai is furnished with an additional dining set and 'stress less' leather recliners. Many an evening has been spent watching the sky change colors with the setting sun. Dolphins are frequently spotted playing in the surf near shore.

We stock the condo with a pack and play, beach towels, and beach chairs. If we don't have it, we can help you find it! You'll find the reserved parking space near the elevator most convenient.

We have been renting our condo for 8 years, we are good at what we do, and look forward to working with you to make your vacation memorable.

A great place to stay! Fanstastic ocean views and convenient to the beach.

We had a great stay and would go back. Very nice condo, well furnished for most anything/anybody and well maintained. Although we didn't use the TV, the idea of hiding it to keep open the gorgeous picture window is excellent.

Only minor complaints are there is no statement in info sent about what one should bring that's not included---like Kleenex, bath soap. Guess we're supposed to know that? We also had trouble figuring out how to operate the convection oven. While a nice feature, it would have been nice to have some instructions nearby to save some agonizing moments.

Just got back from the condo. We had a great week! The weather was perfect! Everything was convenient to the condo--great restaurants! The condo was supplied with everything we needed. The views were wonderful! Would love to go back--our first time in Sanibel. Captiva was beautiful--awesome dolphin watching cruise!

Best Vacation Every

My husband and i stayed in this condo in October. We have been to Sanibel several times over the years and have stayed in numerous condos. This byfar was the nicest one yet!! The view of the Gulf is breaktaking. The condo is very spacious and clean. We would certainly recommend this to everyone. We can't wait to return again.

Nice views, less than nicely maintained unit.

The complex is easy to get to once on the island and two minutes away once you are off the toll bridge. The parking spot is convenient to the elevator and there's a short walk to the unit. There are great views of the beach and the ocean from the living room windows and it is nicely furnished. The kitchen is pretty well equipped for meal prep.

Here are a few of the things that we found - all maintenance related. This information and more, with photos, was provided to the owner, immediately when found, by text message. There is no-one locally to perform required maintenance.

The electronic lock on the door didn't work initially. Rain can get to the lock, which had missing buttons, and this may or may not affect operation. After multiple attempts and 15 minutes the lock finally opened.

The rubber weatherization strip across the bottom of the door was detached and being held at one end by a rusty nail. This left a gap of about an inch at the bottom of the door allowing outside air to enter.

The air intake grills for the HVAC system were heavily covered in dust and dirt. Got the vacuum cleaner out to clean them and found that the plastic vacuum canister was filled beyond the fill line. Cleaned the intake grills myself, as well as the ceiling fan blades. Lots of dust and dirt.

The glass-enclosed porch is a nice feature and you can enjoy the beach view in a bug-free and temperature controlled environment. This porch was not a part of the original calculation for cooling demand required of the A/C system. Enjoying the views is a plus, however, the A/C cannot keep up during high temp days. Rain can get in and pools on the floor. The mop bucket in the laundry closet was shattered - making it useless.

When the A/C system is working hard, condensation forms on the supply grills, which then drips on the floor or runs along the wall. The presence of moisture in an A/C system can be where mold and mildew settle in, and this was visible on the grill fins. Respiratory problems often show up under these conditions - and they did for all three of us.

The overhead track for the sliding door to the small bathroom is missing screws and the door could not close - it dragged on the floor at halfway point. No power at the electrical outlet above the sink in the small bathroom - reset button missing. Apparently the ice-maker has not worked for about 12 months. Various lights didn't work.

Proper and regular maintenance should resolve all of these issues.

Gorgeous, comfortable with well-detailed amenities.

We felt like we were home. Loved it. Great beach chairs and plush beach towels provided. Definitely a return-to place. Being on the top floor also provided a more "exclusive" feel. The view was simply stunning.

The condo was clean, well-decorated and had everything we needed. The keyless entry was great... didn't have to worry about keys when we walked on the beach. Erin was very helpful with Island info and suggestions for eating out and shopping. We look forward to our next trip!
