We live in Portland Oregon. However when the kids were in elementary school, 8 years ago we lived in Loreto for a year. We couldn’t have chosen a better place to be. The Mexicans took us in and we had a year of fun in the sun. In a small town friends are made quickly and kids of all ages play together. We were with the other Mexican families everyday playing in the ocean, hiking, BBQ on the beach, or just hanging out in the plaza. Loreto is so safe I never worried about my small kids walking around town, they had more independence there than they did in the states. Loreto is non-touristy with a very casual atmosphere. Loreto Bay homes have beautiful architecture but if you are looking for fancy restaurants, pools, hotels and shopping you won’t find that in Loreto.
Owner purchased this House in 2009
Why Owner chose Loreto
Our house has more open space around it. Other homes feel like they are on top of each other with their neighbors looking in their windows. We also designed this house to accommodate 2 families. There are 2 master bdrms with King beds, two oversized bdrms with 2 double beds in each room. 4 bdrms with 4 private bathrooms. One small bedroom with a single bed.
What makes this House unique
Our house is the only LB house with the living space upstairs. We are from the NW and light/views are paramount to me. I designed the house to have our dark spaces where we sleep and the social spaces with views.

you can't go wrong with this place
We have stayed at many places in Loreto via VRBO and this place is one of the best we've enjoyed. You won't go wrong, location is great, the private pool was used every day and just a short walk to the hotel for drinks and beach.
The owners were very responsive and easy to work with. They earned 5 stars all the way
Amazing Vacation in Loreto Bay!
Our family had the best time staying at the Allen home in Loreto Bay! The community is stunning with pools, cafes, very walkable....did I mention Loreto has near perfect weather?! Sarah's home is beautiful and very comfortable, with each bedroom having it's own en-suite and a great entertaining/living area complete with huge balcony (and great views!) overlooking the golf course/mountain range. We had a fantastic time relaxing, swimming in the private pool and sharing family dinners outside. The nearby town of Loreto is a true gem. A small community of very friendly people, great culture, restaurants and shopping. We will definitely be returning to Loreto Bay!
Beautiful home and location!
We loved the house and the beautiful views of the golf course and mountains from the patio. If you are a golfer, do bring your clubs. and if you do not golf you can wave from the house at the golfers on the 9th hole. It was COLD when we were there in February, so water sports were not attempted and the equipment at the house went unused. I loved having the bedrooms on the ground floor and the living area with the views on the second level. We had cars, so the "iffy" bikes were not used. Also, I'm still not sure what a "scooter" is, as the term seems to be changing. The only thing we found was a child's foot scooter. We did enjoy the home made burritos made by the maid and recommend them to others. Also, we were surprised that we could not drive to the house and park there, but found that it was not the problem that we expected. It was a short walk to carry in your things and we always found a close parking spot. I was delighted to find that the AC's were reverse cycle and could also heat our bedroom. A small blast took off the chill. A short walk through the beautiful housing complex brought you to a wonderful beach.
I loved the Mexico feel of this beautiful home.
You can tell when you stay at this amazing home that it was decorated with love of the area. We loved the pool and at night we all went up to the crows nest and enjoyed the view of the ocean. The home was complete with bikes and paddle boards. We even ordered tamales for our arrival and ate them throughout our stay.
This truly is a home away from home.
Loreto Bay is so nice! We went to the ocean (a 2 minute walk) everyday and ate fresh seafood and drank margaritas. The house is amazing - plenty of room for our friends and family. And we loved the beautiful views from the rooftop decks, not to mention the pool...
We can't wait to go back!
Wonderful house with great views & amenities!
We had an amazing time! The house is beautifully decorated and appointed with everything you could want. We enjoyed sitting in the tower in the late afternoon, watching the golf course and Sea of Cortez views. The large patio just off the kitchen overlooks the golf course and mountains, and has a table/chairs and two separate seating areas with comfortable cushions/pillows - the sunsets were magical! We used the second master bedroom, just inside the gate. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom is large, including a lovely tile shower. The house is located in a perfect area within walking distance to shops, restaurants, the golf course and hotel. We especially liked that the house had an open common area outside the front gate, and wasn't completely surrounded by other houses. We had a car and there is plenty of parking on the street nearby. The pool is lovely and we enjoyed cooling off there in the afternoons. The house includes a dishwasher, full kitchen, clothes washer/dryer (but we enjoyed using the line to dry our clothes outside), satellite TV, internet, fans and A/C in each room. You couldn't ask for anything else! We will definitely be back.
Our house has 3 paddle boards available, 4 bikes, 2 scooters. Outside of our house yoga, and exercises classes are taught under a very large palalpa.
