Very private with every amenity of home plus more!

  • 5 of 5

Extremely clean, private, quiet home nestled in beautiful wooded area with amazing lake views and dock access. Air conditioning was spot on in the hot, muggy weather during our stay! Kitchen was stocked with every possible needed utensil and the garden tub in master bath was perfect for soaking achy muscles and bones. Convenient location near boat landing to put in for our "gator hunters". Tom and Elva are very courteous, professional and meticulous to detail in both caring for their property and rental details. Thanks so much for an awesome weekend - too bad we came home without a gator this trip!

Wonderful Stay

  • 5 of 5

We picked the weekend with perhaps the worse weather that has occurred all year. Our plans of boating and fishing were dramatically changed by mother nature. Our boat never came off the trailer. Despite all that, we had a wonderful time. The home could not have been more comfortable, the view more spectacular, and the fire pit more welcoming. We did a little fishing from the covered dock, but most importantly were able to relax in a perfect sanctuary from work and email. Tom was very efficient in not only getting us there, but making certain our stay was comfortable. We very much look forward to making it back to this little treasure, hopefully this time in warmer weather.

Owner's Response: Thanks so much for the very nice words about us and our lake front home. We were honored that you picked our home for your getaway. We were very sad that the weather did not cooperate with your plans of boating and fishing. We were very happy that you still found that our property fulfilled your needs and wants even when mother nature did not. We hope to hear back from you soon when conditions will enhance your stay on the beautiful lake, and fabulous fishing and wild life sightseeing. Have a happy and healthy day Tom and family

Great Getaway

  • 5 of 5

We had a group of friends spend the weekend here and had a great time. Quiet, relaxing and plenty of room for all. The sunset views are perfect. Would like to come back for a fishing weekend sometime...

Tom was very efficient on getting us information prior to our arrival.

Beautifully Secluded and Spectacular Views!

  • 5 of 5

My fiance and I had a wonderful, peaceful, relaxing weekend. The cabin had everything we needed and more. We enjoyed grilling out every evening, sitting by the fire pit, and the best part of all was enjoying the deck with a glass of wine and watching the sunset. We didn't catch any fish but were entertained by the visit of two alligators every evening while on the deck.

Tom was very nice, extremely helpful and easy to reach. He even treated us to an early check in since it was available :) Thank you Tom!

We plan to come back again.

Quiet, Peaceful and Secluded

  • 4 of 5

The beautiful wooded property was very quite and peaceful. The house, screened back porch, and the deck with BBQ grill were all clean and well maintained. We grilled outdoors every night and woke each morning to have our first cup of coffee sitting on the screened porch watching the sunrise over the lake and listening to the birds singing. We also fished off the covered dock and caught some fish. We enjoyed our 3 day getaway and plan to return.

Guestbook comments from the owner

Bonfire and smores, what a combo Our daughter and her friends visited us. Using your fire pit to roast marshmallows and make smores was the best! We had a blast. We brought our boat and it was so convenient to launch around the corner and be at your dock in 1 minute. We also appreciated that you had electricity to plug into to charge our batteries each eve. The folks at Wingates Marina were very nice and helpful to us. The eight of us slept very comfortably. This was a great retreat for everyone. The choir of frogs each eve from the porch was very relaxing to hear. We really appreciated that you took so much time before we got there to answer all of our questions and make us feel like family. We are already looking at the calendar to pick another date in the near future. thanks again for being such nice hosts!
