Spectacular beachfront home that has a kitchen, dining room, and ocean views from 3 bedrooms and the living room. Look out the window and feel like you are on a boat, because the ocean is so close. Fall asleep to the surf and wake up and see the glistening sand. Stroll onto the deck and watch the sunrise over the ocean. Private stairs directly to the beach from the property. At the end of the day take an outdoor shower in the garden that gets afternoon sun. True Paradise!! The house has all amenities: dishes, sheets and towels, outdoor grill, washer and dryer. Come stay and let all your stress wash away.
Can't beat the location right on Green Harbor Beach. Large deck and patio with tons of tables and seating. Large gas grill. Private stairs direct to the beach. Parking is fantastic, good for 6-8 cars. There are 3 very large bedrooms on the second floor. They all have windows overlooking the ocean. Master has large closet and spacious bath.
Kitchen is serviceable - fridge is old as well as stove. Crowded due to washer/dryer - but you need them.
Living area is large with lots of seating, TV and a gas fireplace.
We had a great time watching the fireworks 7/3 from the deck, perfect. On 7/4 you could see P Town and Plymouth fireworks.
Can't say enough about location.
Nothing compares to being by the ocean.
The smell of the salt air. The warmth of the sun on your shoulders. The sand between your toes. The warm breezes. The soothing sounds of the waves hitting the shore. Stunning sunsets... I could go on and on and on!
Well you get it all at the cottage on Bay ave!! It's everything it is described to be and more!
Waking up in any of the airy, clutter free bedrooms,.. and looking out your window to see the morning sun , dancing like diamonds on the waves. Looking down the beautiful sandy beach that goes on for miles!
Then you walk downstairs to get your breakfast in the roomy , functional kitchen,.. breezes blowing .
Then head through the sunny, comfy, open , airy living room, to walk out on the huge deck and seawall ,to sit and watch the peaceful clouds roll by with seagulls coasting on the wind ,..occasionally diving for their morning snack!
You are ON the water with the stairs to the beach right there,...so it's easy to dash up to the house from the beach ,if you decide you want to grab something .
The gorgeous greens and blues of the seemingly endless ocean,..are breathtaking!
After a day of fun, (swimming , walking, sunbathing,.. reading,.relaxing .etc.)
you can move to the other side of the house, jump in the great outdoor shower,.. grab a lounge and sit and enjoy the manicured lawn and perimeter garden.
Dinner time , you can walk to the fabulous old lobster pound, and grab a few lobsters,.. or barbeque on the big grill on the back deck .
It is enjoying summer at it's best!
I look forward to my stay there from the day I leave ,..until the day I arrive the next summer!
Greenie,..a little bit of heaven!
It is a very beautiful beach house with excellent amenities and stunning views, certainly the perfect place to wake up. The house was well equipped and very comfortable. There are no photographs of the bedrooms on the website, but they are gorgeous big airy rooms, all had a sea view. We had two small children and it was a great safe house for them and they loved the beach. The owners were prompt with their email exchange and very helpful in sorting out the payments and deposits as we were travelling from the UK. I would wholeheartedly recommend this house to anyone and would certainly rent again if we visited Boston in the future.
When choosing a holiday home we wanted to have a nice looking house right by the ocean with good selection of both restaurants and shopping opportunities near by. This house proved to have all that and more! The beach is stunning, and it was right there! House is very nicely decorated, light and clean - we thought it looked even nicer than in the pictures! There were MANY great restaurants very close to the house, and the owners had collected a nice little guide that helped us to find them all. Our favorite was Haddad, still miss their amazing lobsters! The only negative thing is that we only spent a week at this lovely house - we'd really, really want to come again!
We enjoyed an extremely comfortable week at this lovely beach-side home. I don't really know where to start.....we knew we were out of season and didn't expect anything other than cold, wet, and windy weather (we actually ended up with sunny, bright, and cool - which was a lovely bonus). Therefore it was important for us to have somewhere very comfortable, with heating, and dramatic views regardless of the weather. This house ticked all the boxes. Being so close to the see was amazing - at times we'd look out of the window and think that we were on a boat ;-)
The house was spotlessly clean and as described in the listing.
The location of the house allows easy access to Cape Cod, Boston, and anywhere really. We had great days out nearby (Plymouth's Mayflower II and Plantation Village) as well as enjoying great restaurants and local attractions. The nearby towns of Brants Rock and Duxbury are great for exploring and we really did only scratch the surface before our time was up.
The owners were extremely professional (in the nicest possible way) and the arrangements were really clear and easy to follow.
In summary then - lovely house, lovely location, lovely owners - ticks every single box! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place to friends and family.
Green Harbor - Marshfield: the house is on the northern end of Duxbury beach - between Green Harbor and the Duxbury line. Duxbury beach is Boston Magazine's 'best beach' on the south shore, more than 6 miles of wide, picturesque, sandy beach that you can walk all the way into Plymouth Harbor. Or walk to our local 'Genny' - Green Harbor's favorite general store, for penny candy and ice cream treats. Walk or ride your bike around Green Harbor, and into the cute little seaside community of Brant Rock. Eat breakfast or brunch at Arthur and Pat's (also Boston Magazine's top pick), where you might see Joey Kramer (Aerosmith drummer) at the next table. Walk or bike to the historic Winslow House and museum, to get a glimpse of life in the 1700s. Drive to Farfar's ice cream shop for the best home-made ice cream on the south shore, or to the many shops and restaurants in Marshfield, Duxbury, Scituate and the surrounding towns.
