Spacious and private studio apartment located in a 5 unit apartment building. There is a queen bed, 42" TV that can be rotated to view from either the sitting area or the bedroom area. Very quiet location, cozy apartment. Kitchenette with microwave, small frig, sink and coffee pot. Use of shared washer/dryer.
Beats a hotel stay, more spacious accommodations, very quiet and comfortable.
Please see the two bedroom unit also on VRBO, #84983.

Own and manage this property and professionally manage properties at Diversified North Property Management. I couldn't do it without the help of Nancy Marchant, who has assisted me with everything from cleaning to shopping, lawn and yard maintenance and a long term tenant of mine as well.
Sally Betz purchased this apartment in 2005
The location is ideal, close to downtown but also convenient access in or out of Anchorage. The previous owners did most of the initial updates, conversions and furnishings. Since my ownership, I've changed out carpets, furniture and furnishings in all my units since.
Honestly, the building was not love at first sight, the exterior styling of the building deterred me from looking at it initially. Once I saw interior of the building and the conditions, I was sold. The convenience of two sets of washers and dryers in the building is a nice amenity to have. Once coin op, they are now free for all to use.
... I really enjoyed your Studio Apt - it was quiet and perfect for me!
Since it rained or was overcast almost the whole 3 weeks, I wasn't bothered by Alaska's "midnight sun".
The kitchen was very convenient and nice to have. The swivel TV was great, and nice to have DVD player, too.
And Alaska had the 4th of July fireworks at midnight down the street the night I arrived! ...& it was rainy, windy & cold! But the show went on for like 45-minutes!
Close to downtown and not far from the airport. The place was clean and bed comfortable. The only complaint is the shower head. It falls off easily and rests in an awkward position making taking a shower more of a pain! Overall a very nice place to stay though.
It was a cute little studio apartment with all the essentials that we needed for our 2 night stay.
The studio apartment represented good value for the price but we felt it was more a business for Sally rather than as it has been for many of our other hosts to enjoy meeting guests as well. Nancy, Sally's Dynamo of an assistant is a gem and both Sally and Nancy were very helpful when telephoned with questions.
It would have made us feel so much more welcome had there been some maps and information about Anchorage provided and perhaps a few basic provisions to assist before we went shopping ourselves. Where we are staying now in Vancouver is the complete opposite. Nibbles, bread, butter and jam in the fridge. Spices, salt, pepper, plastic wrap and foil all the items you don't want to purchase when only staying for a week. We hosts guests in our home and provide these basic items.
Sally was most organised regarding key pick up and entry to the apartment.
Condo is just like described and spot on to the many great reviews. From the outside, the building is a bit rundown, to say the least, but this unit is very well put together, clean and comfortable. The parking lot also has many bumps in it, so be careful walking on it at night as I almost tripped over one of the mounds in the pavement. It was also very quiet, which was a necessity for us since we were constantly on the move all day, so sleep was very important. Queen bed was very comfortable. Shower very hot. TV and internet worked great.
Location is about a 5 minute drive to downtown Anchorage and the train station. We took the Alaska Railroad (which we HIGHLY recommend) to Seward our first morning and it took about 6 minutes to get there at 6:15AM. We had breakfast at Snow City (which we highly recommend as well). It was a long wait on a late Saturday morning, so next time we would definitely make reservations online the day before.
The owner, Sally, was very responsive and had zero issues accessing the building and then getting into the unit when we arrived very late at night. She's also priced her condo very reasonable compared to the Anchorage hotels that run $250 and up per night.
Great location- safe, quiet area. Easy to get to restrauants, museums, stores. Comfortable & clean. Perfect place to stay while we visited our son at Fort Richardson.
Close walk to Sullivan Arena, Ben Boeke Ice Arena, Mulcahy Stadium, on the route of the Iditarod Sled Dog Race ceremonial start. Off street parking lot with 1 designated space per unit.
