Guestbook comments from the owner

Thanks again for another vacation at your beautiful condo. Most of all, thank you for adjusting your schedule in order that our daughter and her family could also enjoy a vacation with us.

We swam, hiked, kayaked, rented a pontoon boat and went tubing, golfed, and went sight seeing.

But most of all, we enjoyed the spectacular views your condo provides!

Thanks Again,

Springtime Retreat

  • 5 of 5

April 17-21 The view you see in photo is same view you will see from living room balcony...beautiful! Condo was perfect for a friends getaway. Clean, well equipped, cozy and felt like being home. Weather was mixed 43-67 degrees with a couple of rainy days but didn't stop us from taking long hikes on trails on the Homestead property. We were one of the few guests on the entire property so was quite peaceful. We drove to and hiked Sleeping Bear Dunes, Pierce Stocking trail was closed. We shopped in Glen Arbor and Suttons Bay. Merchants just setting up for the season...a perfect time to see new merchandise and get to know shop owners. Fun bar night at Art's and wonderful dinner at Trattoria Funistrada. A great time of year to visit. Thanking for sharing your home with others!

The owners were great to work w/on the front end, the property was as good if not better than advertised (very clean, everything we needed for four nights). Lake MI views are under served in the write-up, next to perfect from both the living room-kitchen & master bdrm. We'll be back.

Happy renters

  • 5 of 5

The condo was exactly as pictured and described in the listing. The directions were clear, and we had no problems finding it. The location at The Homestead is great for exploring Sleeping Bear National Lakeshore and the Leelanau Peninsula. The condo was VERY clean. The view of Lake Michigan and South Manitou Island was lovely. We like to cook and found everything we needed in the kitchen. The condo maintenance workers were on top of the snow removal. We would recommend bringing slippers if you rent in the winter. We keep our house at 66 degrees in the winter, so we don't expect our accommodations to be really warm, but we did find that the floors were cold despite being carpeted and that made us feel a bit cold. It did not appear that the condo below was occupied and, therefore, heated. If it had been, that might have made a difference. We would definitely rent this condo again.

Owner's Response: We are pleased that you enjoyed our condominium and the wonderful view of the lake from the living room and the master bedroom. Although we have a new heating system, the concrete floors that are required in all condominiums are a bit cool on bare or stocking feet in the winter especially on the tiled kitchen and bathrooms floors. Thank you for the great suggestion for slippers. We would be happy if you choose our condominium during your next vacation to Northern Michigan.

Impeccable, serene, and breathtaking view!

  • 5 of 5

I greatly needed a get-away and I surely found it. The condo was easy to find, yet tucked away and quiet, and very clean. The rooms were spacious and I never got used to the views, they took my breath away every time I looked out the windows. This condo would also be great for a family vacation, friends get-away, or anniversary trip.

Just as wonderful as last year!

  • 5 of 5

I stayed with a group of friends for our second year in this condo. One of them remarked "Isn't it funny, how this kinda feels like home?" They were 100% right! Everything we could ask for was provided, and then some. There are gorgeous views overlooking Lake Michigan, firewood is provided for cozy evenings, the beds are comfy, and the owners are fantastic. We will continue coming back every year to this lovely spot!
