Guestbook comments from the owner

Thanks again for another vacation at your beautiful condo. Most of all, thank you for adjusting your schedule in order that our daughter and her family could also enjoy a vacation with us.

We swam, hiked, kayaked, rented a pontoon boat and went tubing, golfed, and went sight seeing.

But most of all, we enjoyed the spectacular views your condo provides!

Thanks Again,

LUXURY CONDO!!!!

  • 5 of 5

WHAT A WONDERFUL, WELL APPOINTED CONDO. EVERYTHING WAS FIRST CLASS. EVEN LITTLE THINGS LIKE NICE SHEETS AND PILLOWS DOWN TO A WELL APPOINTED KITCHEN AND DELUXE TOILET PAPER! WE RENT CONDOS OFTEN AND HAVE NEVER SEEN A NICER ONE!

KUDOS TO YOU FOR ALL THE FIRST CLASS TOUCHES ALL OVER THE UNIT. WE FELT LIKE WE HAD FINALLY RENTED A LUXURY CONDO WITH THE BEST VEIWS OF LAKE MICHIGAN. WE WERE PLEASANTLY SURPRISED THAT WE HAD TO CLIMB A LOT FEWER STEPS THAN MOST OF THE CONDOS IN THAT BUILDING.

WE LOVED THE AIR CONDITIONING UNITS WHICH WERE WELL PLACED TO COOL THE ENTIRE LIVING SPACE. WE EXPECTED NASTY SMELLING AND TASTING WELL WATER AND YOUR WATER TASTED JUST FINE......EXACTLY LIKE CITY WATER. HOPE TO MAKE THIS AN ANNUAL TRADITION.

WOW....WHAT A WONDERFUL WEEK WE HAD! THANKS SO MUCH!!!!!!

SINCERELY,

JIM & DONNA O

You couldn't ask for more in a rental... No, you couldn't ask for more in a vacation home!

  • 5 of 5

Read the reviews, they are full of well deserved praise and there is little more that I can add. But let me just say, I was so impressed with the cleanliness, organization, and thoughtfulness towards renters, that I actually took a picture of under the kitchen sink! Lol! I almost posted it on Facebook, but caught myself in time. This is the fourth place we've stayed in at the Homestead, all nice accomodations, but this is the one we will want to come back to! (The only less than perfect moment was trying to get up from the love seat, my husband kept saying we must be getting old!)

Fabulous service, gorgeous private view, pleasant homey getaway

  • 5 of 5

A great experience from start to finish. The renter was extremely personal and prompt in communicating, and even when I accidentally booked the wrong week she graciously corrected the reservation within minutes. Extremely easy and clear instructions for getting in and out-- it made the logistics effortless. The property is lovely-- not flashy, but homey, clean, and spacious. It's really more like a small living area with two bedroom/bathroom apartments coming off in opposite directions-- two couples would have plenty of privacy staying together. Great to have use of the jet tub, the washer and dryer, a very well-stocked kitchen (the only thing I was glad I brought along was a muffin tin), and a fantastic view as pictured. Convenient access to all the close-by local sites. I would absolutely rent again! As a side note, since rain and weather can potentially put a damper on lots of outdoor activities, I was glad I'd rented right on the water-- I could still enjoy a spectacular view from my candle-lit bedroom even if a hike wasn't in the cards!

This condo is clean, tasteful, comfortable and the view is breathtaking!

  • 5 of 5

We loved being at The Homestead in February!! This condo is perfect - spacious, comfortable and the pride in ownership definitely shows!! We brought our two young children and I travel with wipes to clean everything, however this place didn't need a wipe down! It is nicely decorated and you instantly feel like a well known guest when you arrive. The beds are comfortable and the linens were great - honestly it doesn't feel like any corners are cut here! The view is gorgeous, the skiing staff is friendly and helpful, and the town is really just as great in the winter as it is in the summer. We will happily return to this unit knowing our family will be in a clean, cozy, and well appointed home! Thank you so much!!

Beautiful property on the Homestead resort

  • 5 of 5

This rental property was perfect for a girls' weekend. It was very well maintained and the view from the patio doors was amazing! We went on great hikes during the day, enjoyed cooking while enjoying wine in the afternoons and enjoyed the fire at night! Loved the fireplace! It was spacious and the four of us slept comfortably in the two bedrooms. The owners have a nice collection of maps/pamphlets of the property and surrounding trails/attractions. The owner called when we first checked in to make sure we were all taken care of! Would love to come back in the summertime!

Owner's Response: A weekend getaway with old friends is important in maintaining and nurturing old friendships. We are pleased that the beautiful natural setting of the Homestead and the comfort of our condominium facilitated you having a very pleasant weekend. Your friend told us that you saw 2 bald eagles circling on the ridge. The most we have seen is one!
