This was a perfect venue for our team! An amazing view and a super clean home. We completely enjoyed our time spent there. John, the owner was very welcoming and helpful to show us around the home upon arrival. We would highly recommend this beautiful home to anyone! Will definitely be going back!!

We had a wedding to go to in Niagara on the Lake so found this very nicely appointed home with 5 Bedrooms and 5 bathrooms. It was great that each couple or single had their own bed and bath. That made getting ready for the wedding very comfortable. the house itself from the front is deceiving as it's much bigger inside and from the back. Rooms are nicely decorated and it was a very comfortable home to stay in. Being that the owner has many properties he owns both commercially and residentially I was surprised that the home was very dated as far as upkeep. For the price of the home for the week, I would have expected much higher standards in the home especially the kitchen area. Being that several of the guests are high end cooks the kitchen was less than impressive. For $3900 + Gst for 7 days, the cost did not match the deteriorating condition of the home. Also, being that it was April, neither the pool area nor the dock could be enjoyed due to inclement weather as well, so I believe that the price should have been lower for that time and season. However, the house was clean and spacious as other reviews have said. The owner was also quick to send someone when we were having some issues in the home like the unbelievably huge spiders. and the plumbing. Would we stay here again? Possibly, but the home itself would have to be renovated and brought up to date for the price. Also the profile of the home features 5 bedrooms with either King or Queen beds, however, the room that my wife and I stayed in had two twin beds that even if we had pulled them together, would have made the room very awkward to get around, so I believe that the profile is not a true statement for the home and should be advertised more appropriately.

An Excellent Choice for Niagara on the Lake

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed another great vacation at Sunset Cove Lake House (Long Lake House) - Niagara on the Lake. It is a nice place for friends and family to stay together to enjoy both life at the lake house itself as well as all that the Niagara Region has to offer. The owner dropped over to personally welcome us and was always available to support us with any items we needed and suggestions for fun activities. The best part is relaxing on the large comfortable covered back porch - overlooking the water - watching the sunset. We had a wonderful vacation and are planning our next trip back too!

My friends and I stayed her for a bachelorette last weekend. The house was AMAZING! It was clean, spacious and comfortable. With 5 bathrooms, we were all able to get ready at once and not be on top of eachother. The house has everything you could ever want for. No need to bring anything. The newly renovated deck with gas firepit overlooking Lake Ontario was to die for. The owner was so helpful and even called to make sure we arrived okay and gave us his cell number in case we had any questions or problems. I would 100% recommend this house to anyone and look forward to renting it again in the future.

Great house, invasive owner

  • 3 of 5

I loved the house and would have given it a higher rating had it not been for the owner of the home. Two of the three days of my stay he dropped the house. On the second day, he actually poured SHOCK and chlorine in the pool while my friend was in it. If you don't know, shock is extremely toxic and warns on the label against swimming in the pool for several hours after use. I found it to be inappropriate that the owner stopped by during our stay. It was kind of creepy and invasive. When you pay to rent a property, you should have an uninterrupted stay with maintenance being done beforehand. Again, lovely house- but creepy owner.

Great family golf weekend!

  • 4 of 5

The men in our family spent the weekend at Sunset Cove Lake House and had a fantastic time. We apprciated the space, the large screen TV for enjoying sports together, and the proximity to so many great golf courses. We even had time for swim! The fact that 8 of us could all have our own bed and bathroom was a real plus. We all agreed to return next year.

Thanks John!
