This breezy island get-a-way, fashioned in the casual style of Key West & The Bahama Islands, is the perfect vacation spot for anyone seeking to rent a peaceful, charming and conveniently located beach cottage. Located on the ocean with its own private dock and beach, Windswept's first floor (unlike most Florida Keys homes on stilts) is ground level allowing easy access to the kitchen, living room, 2 bedrooms, 1 bath and a large screened in porch that stretches the entire waterfront side of the house. The upstairs has 2 bedrooms and 2 adjoining baths. Both upstairs bedrooms have sliding glass doors that open up to a large upstairs balcony with unending water views, a built in sitting area, and an outdoor staircase that leads to the beach.
Bring your boat or rent one and tie up at our new dock. There is also a convenient boat launch on Summerland Key. A vacation to remember for all ages and interests or the perfect hideaway for the artist/writer or fisherman.

Great area restaurants (Square Grouper, Mangrove Mama's, No-Name Pub) and Cuban cuisine (5 Brothers). Excellent fishing off the dock - with lighting to illuminate water at night!
My wife and I are halfway thru our fourth consecutive two month stay at Windswept and have already reserved our stay for next year. That really says it all! It's an old and very casual house with its own bit of sand beach. There is even a great shade tree on the beach for when you want to escape the rays. Little can go wrong in this bit of paradise but when it does Amy is always immediately responsive. You couldn't ask for a better landlady or for a more fun place to stay.
We stayed at Windswept with our Westie Maggie for two weeks. We fished, we swam, we snorkle nearly every day. Floating on the huge water matt was so comfortable, you can drift off away forever. Key deer, iguana, stingrays, osprey and many types of sea birds were there Dailey.. We had a Egret that would come by every day for a handout out fish. Amy was super with help when we needed a hand, she was prompt an helpful. Can't wait to return next year. MK
We (4 adults and 5 children) spent our holidays at Windswept house. The house was proper and well organized. You can find there everything you need for having nice holidays. We enjoyed it very much and thanks Amy for her great support!
JUST GOT BACK FROM THIS LOVELY PLACE .....I MISS IT ALREADY...WE HAD SUCH A GREAT TIME. WE LOVED HAVING BREAKFAST EVERY MORNING ON THE BIG SCREEN PORCH,LOOKING OUT AND SEE ING THE OCEAN AND HEARING THE WAVES....WE HAD FAMILY COME AS FAR AS SEATTLE ...I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS TO MY FRIENDS..I WOULD LOVE TO COME BACK AGAIN AND BRING MY GRANDCHILDREN SOMEDAY...A GREAT PLACE FOR FAMILIES...
What a great find this home was for a trip to the Keys! Although there are homes are both sides of this rental, the beautiful vegetation and palms gave it a very private feel. The home was very comfortable, but the best part was the amazing screened living area that stretches across the back of the home with high ceilings and a view that was awesome. The back yard is oceanfront and the pier is a great place to get amazing sunset and sunrise shots. Located just 20 miles from Key West, it was a great location for so many sightseeing adventures. We enjoyed seeing the Key deer on Big Pine Key and the beach at Bahia Honda State Park, near the 7 mile bridge. Windswept is a very special place and we are happy we got to enjoy it for the week.
Our family had an incredibly relaxing stay in this charming ocean-front home. Our kids were happy to just stay at the house and kayak, fish, or snorkel, but we managed to fit in some touristy events. The huge screened in back porch provided a great spot to simply sit and relax while watching the activity on the water. We look forward to returning!
The turquoise waters offer excellent boating, snorkeling, fishing and all water sports. The end of the dock includes a tiki hut for shade and fish cleaning station. Looe Key, a premier diving reef, is located 6 miles out in the Atlantic and Little Palm Island (an exclusive island resort) is very close and available, by your boat or theirs, for a five star lunch or dinner. Fabulous shopping and dining are 20 minutes away in historic Key West.
