QUAINT Hanalei Cottage, CLOSE TO BEACH, 2 Bedroom, 1 Bath, (Sleeps 3 maximum)
I first bought property in Hanalei in 1977, because it was so quaint and had that 'small town' beach community feel. It's just like a little surfing town out of the 60's.
Carolyn purchased this Cottage in 1993
Why Carolyn chose Hanalei
It's a perfect property for a small family like ours was. I've owned it for 27 years now, and we are down to 2 in our family. We love it. Easy walking distance to both the beach and the village of Hanalei. Don't have to use the car much.
What makes this Cottage unique
Our property actually IS in Hanalei, some properties on this site are not. So, you can walk everywhere from our cottage: beach in 4 minutes, into town for groceries or a little shopping, restaurants for breakfast/lunch/dinner, 10 minutes to Pine Trees Beach or to the Pier. If you don't want to drive very much, this is the ideal location.

Perfect saty in Hanalei!
Tutus cottage is the perfect place to stay in Hanalei. My husband and I just returned from our second time at the cottage. The location is perfect. We enjoyed having morning coffee and evening drinks on the porch. Looking at the stars while taking an outdoor shower. A quick walk to one of the most idyllic beaches in Hawaii, and a quick walk to town for dinner. Carolyn is a pleasure to book with, and the property is very well tended.
Perfect place for our honeymoon !
The property was both quiet and close to town as well as the beach. Fantastic outdoor shower. Super clean house!
Super clean and perfect location
Carolyn is great! She instantly responded to any and every need. We'll be back!
Aloha Bryan and Kelly,
Thanks so much for the kind words. You were great guests, hope to see you back again soon.
Wish the weather could have been as nice as Tutu’s Cottage
Carolyn was very communicative during our visit, but not intrusive. The house is in a good location , short walk to the beach, short walk to town. Nice to have washer and dryer on site! House was clean, appliances worked well. We went out for dinner every night, had breakfasts and lunches in. (Didn’t want to cook much on vacation!) would have been nice to have a few more kitchen towels and sharp knives. But really, those are small things and surely did not affect our time at Tutu’s Cottage is our stay in Hanalei. Yes, we recommend staying here.
A perfect cottage in a perfect setting
We just spent 5 days at Tutus cottage, and it was hands-down the ideal location for spending long lazy days at the gorgeous Hanalei Bay beach and nights in the lovely Hanalei town. The cottage is simply charming and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. I was very impressed with how clean and well maintained the house was. I thought the covered front and back porches were a brilliant touch, as they allowed us to eat meals or sit and have a drink outside even when it was raining. We loved the hot outdoor shower too! The cottage’s location was also perfect, on the road that connects the beach to the town. We never needed a car unless we were heading to Princeville or another part of the island. Carolyn was delightful to speak with and quick to respond if I had a question. I suppose if I had a suggestion, the tv could be a bit larger (i only noticed this because it was super bowl Sunday) however I didn’t really care as I don’t watch a lot of tv. The internet was strong and fast. The kitchen was fully equipped too. I’ve stayed in a few different rentals in Hanalei, but going forward I will only stay in Tutus Cottage. Thank you for making our stay extra special!
Perfectly located. Simple, easy and exactly what we wanted. Jim, the caretaker, responded promptly to a couple of minor technical glitches and was a pleasure to talk to. We've already recommended it to friends.
