Charming oceanfront house sitting above a rocky bluff with endless views of the sea. It is perfect for couples looking to get away and relax in a quiet island paradise. The house has two bedrooms, two bathroom, a full kitchen and spacious living/dining area. You will fall in love with the attractive tropical décor, exposed beam ceilings, and solid white oak floors. Step outside onto the covered veranda to enjoy a fantastic view of the iridescent blue sea and off-shore cays. The house has air conditioning and satellite TV. Your rental also includes all linens, towels, and kitchen utensils.
Great Harbour Cay: The entire east coast of Great Harbour Cay is fringed by miles of beautiful powdery white sand beaches. Whether you want to relax in calm, shallow waters or feel the energy of large ocean swells curling along the shore, you can always find the perfect beach to suit your mood. Spend an afternoon at Lover’s Beach to watch the clouds change color as the sun travels across the sky. Take a serene bike ride to Sugar Beach Caves for a day of snorkeling and exploring. Or just relax on a beach chair sipping your favorite drink. Don’t miss a day trip to Flo's Conch Bar for fresh sea food and visit the 'Blue Hole' at Hoffman Cay on your way back. There are several uninhabited cays (pronounced 'keys'), south of Great Harbour Cay, which are perfect for a picnic or to spend a day in total seclusion.
Dining: A few restaurants on the island offer local and international fare. For ambiance and great Piña Coladas, try the Pool Bar and restaurant behind the marina. Cooly Mae’s, in Bullocks Harbour, serves excellent local food and for dessert try the famous “Guava Duff”, it is delicious. The Beach Club, down the beach from the house, is also a great place for breakfast and lunch.
Marina: Great Harbour Cay has one of the best marinas in the Northern Bahamas. High cliffs protect the harbor area from almost all inclement weather. Please contact the harbor master for boat/slip rental.

A great holiday beach in a beautiful beach house with ocean views and great! The island is fairly small, we can all leave in two days with a bicycle. Beautiful beaches and in the winter hardly anyone there, so it is undisturbed. The weather was cold the first three days earlier, at about 16 ° C, but a dream at about 23 ° C, the water is warm! All the people are nice and always welcome a. Two kayaks (one-and two-seater) we have used extensively to study the two islands. Experiences with the animal world (skates and small sharks) remain insufficient. Two restaurants, two small shops, is not much else on the island except for beach and sun - perfect for adventurers and those who want to escape from reality. Recommended: A quad-Mobile (GSM 850/1900), otherwise you cut off from civilization. Our tri-band or dual-Mobile (Europe) do not work.

If you're looking for absolutely breathtaking views and total tranquility, this is your place. The house is wonderful and you can tell is was built with love. We only saw 1 or 2 people in the distance on our beach in the whole two weeks we were there. The islanders are friendly and willing to help with any questions or directions you might need. Hans is a fantastic host and checks to make sure everything is perfect without being obtrusive. And then there are the views....every shade of blue you can imagine and "pool clear" water. If you want peace and seclusion, this is the place to be. We will be back.
Great house on a great location! Everything you need is there, from bicycles to kayaks to a blender for a afternoon cocktail! The view is stunning and the private beach with shallow blue water is amazing. We loved our stay and would certainly go back in the future
It is even nicer than the pictures. Hans, the owner, has taken great care to make sure that guests here are comfortable. The house is very clean, the interior is modern and updated and nicely painted, the furniture is comfortable, and all you need is here, from towels to a coffee maker, toaster, TV, radio, DVD player, books, trash bags, bicycles, kayak, BBQ grill, dishwasher, etc., and last but not least, GORGEOUS views of a largely secluded, pristine beach with crystal clear light blue water literally about a 15 second walk from the beautiful back balcony. The cost to rent the place is more than reasonable. Hans has even included a first aid kit, flashlight, and a pre-paid phone to make local calls. VERY thoughtful. We are very pleased with everything and will almost certainly come again. I have seen maybe two people over the past three days, and they were in the ocean next to their house which is about 1/6 of a mile away. Because of the vegetation that grows all the way up to the beach, there is no lengthy, walk-able beach area for people to come strolling by your own secluded property. You have a nice small beach to yourself. There are not enough good things to say about the place and the owner. Last but not least, the AC in the home is nice and cool. Here are some tips. Not complaints, just FYIs. Its September now, and its still HOT. Frankly I don't know why people would come in the summer, its got to be miserable. But maybe that's just me. Bring plenty of sunscreen and mosquito repellant. I do NOT recommend a golf cart unless you don't mind driving several miles in a golf cart while being HOT. Finally, I do not mean this in any negative way whatsoever, but there really isn't much here, at all. Its a slow, sleepy, laid back, island life type of place with little to no economy, but that's part of the charm! Locals seem very friendly. Don't expect anything fancy. The bar is a warm "room" with nothing to look at except the four walls. There is one new liquor store. No ATMs. Credit cards are rarely accepted. Don't expect much in the way of a grocery store. Again, its a warm room that has less than a 7-11 but for 3x the price. I bought $50 worth of fish and lobster from fishermen the first day here and it will last all week so I recommend doing that. Coolie Mae's is charming. Conch is yummy. Who knew? We brought basics, like pasta, rice, coffee, bagels, etc. in our bags. Overall, CHARMING, nice locals, great host, great place!
This is the first time we’ve have written a travel home rental review, we were inspired to do so because this property was just so enjoyable that we thought it best to share it with others.
The house itself is five star in every way; furnishings, decor, cleanliness, linens, toiletry supplies and kitchen supplies. The owner obviously has an eye for detail which is appreciated and made our stay even more carefree.
The private beach is just awesome, YES, your own cove shaped beach. We have travelled the world and have never had our own private beach to call ours! With it’s pure white sand to sunbathe on, infinity pool like entry to the crystal clear sea made us feel like movie stars!
The outstanding service made us feel special too. From the start, Hans with his personal “Meet & Greet” at the airport, organizing our car rental as well as his discreet “checking-in” throughout our stay, with ongoing assistance to satisfy all our requests for bikes, kayaks, restaurant recommendations and even a fascinating history lesson of the cay we felt like V.I.P’s!
So come to Cove Beach House (as we are calling it) and enjoy for yourself!

Wonderful home. Your very own beach, it's fabulous. Make sure & take $$ for beverages. Pack a cooler with your own meat and frozen vegetables, too! We would for sure go to the little house on the berry, again:)
My mom and I try to take a 'beach' trip each year. This year, we rented Hans' Little House on the Berry. The pictures really do not do this property justice. The house is very well maintained and had everything we needed. The beach was hands down the best beach we've visited. The water is crystal clear and the beach is literally like your own private beach. In our week stay, we didn't see a sole on the beach. We did pack a cooler with chicken, steaks, lunch meat, and snacks and are so glad that we did! The grocery stores did have almost everything but were pretty pricey. Cracked Conch at Coolie Mae's is a must! Everything that we ordered at Carriearl was fantastic! Great service too! We would definitely recommend this property!! Hans was also wonderful to work with and very helpful before and after our visit!
