Completed apartment in the middle floor.
From 2 to 4 people plus toddler in cot.
This is what the German Tourism Association has awarded the 5-star holiday home "Buchhaus Vier" above the town of Kirchenlamitz in Upper Franconia. In addition to comfort and equipment, this maximum classification also expresses the - literally - well-kept cleanliness. She is being watched by two housemaids under the direction of her boss.
Fast Internet with 50,000 Mbit (LAN and WLAN).
The postal address not only gave the unique holiday home its name, but also became a part of the program. For example, a library with more than a thousand books is available to guests free of charge. Occasionally, guests supplemented with reading material, supplement the holdings, which extend to all floors. Play and reading corners invite.
The individual floors are each complete and self-contained and comfortably furnished apartments. They are also technically well equipped - up to free Internet connections - optionally via LAN and WLAN. In addition, each have their own telephone lines whose phone numbers are not registered to maintain anonymity and thus know only the guests themselves.
Coffee and tea are available - as well as a welcome surprise for you for free.
Also three bikes for your free use.
The "Buchhaus Vier" is an oasis of peace and relaxation in the middle of the Fichtelgebirge Nature Park, at the foot of the legendary Epprechtstein castle ruin. Nevertheless, the ***** holiday home of the special class can be reached by vehicle via the path ending at the forest without a walk - with parking in front of the door and 50m distant idyllic beer garden.
The Epprechtstein and the enthroned castle can be comfortably hiked. It offers a fantastic view over the horseshoe-shaped mountain chain of the Fichtelgebirge as well as over the Franconian Forest into the Saxon Vogtland.
The "Buchhaus Vier" is surrounded by woods, meadows, springs and ponds. Equally well-developed cycling and hiking trails, which lead in different lengths through the still intact nature and a picturesque landscape.
Right in front of the door of the holiday home "Buchhaus Vier", cross-country skiers can expect a well-groomed trail in winter. Literally just a stone's throw away is Germany's unique and walk-in granite labyrinth - a hit for children and adults of all ages. And it does not cost entry.
THE HOUSE CAN ALSO BE RENTED COMPLETELY FOR 12 PEOPLE.
Also free, the family-friendly forest outdoor pool can be visited and used. It is fed by the nearby source of the Kirchenlamitzer Hausbach Lamitz and offers - with largely natural facilities - also a spacious lawn.
Who prefers modern and comfortable baths, finds these in the closer environment likewise, so the forest bath of Schwarzenbach / Saale (4 km), the Weißenstädter lake (5 km) and the Förmitzspeicher 11 km). You can also fish, swim, dive and surf in the last two waters. Boat rental is available.
Also not far away from the house "Buchhaus Vier" are the winter sports strongholds Bischofsgrün, Warmensteinach and Fichtelberg and the Ochsenkopf, just to name a few examples. In a few minutes the spa town of Weißenstadt can be reached. Here is a second therapy center, connected with the development of a recently discovered hot spring to a beautiful spa.
Culturally the area offers highlights. These include the Luisenburg Festival near Wunsiedel (17 km) with "Europas schönster Naturbühne" (Süddeutsche Zeitung) and its well-known director Michael Lerchenberg. Furthermore, the Wagner city of Bayreuth (49 km) with its world-famous festival and the Hermitage. Another of many worthwhile destinations is the porcelain metropolis Selb (17 km) with the newly created outlet centers and the immediate border with the Czech Republic.
But also the host town Kirchenlamitz has its charms. This includes the romantic town pond with the surrounding green area as well as the lanes branching off from the "main street", paths, romantic corners and a former castle.
Like the nearby Selb and other cities in the region, Kirchenlamitz was affected by the decline of the local porcelain industry. However, one has thought of the beautiful landscape. The former border area to the GDR was already at the time of the Iron Curtain as a "first stop in freedom" preferred destination for Berlin tourists. But after the removal of barbed wire and wall, this stream initially flattened. In good partnership with the tourist office Fichtelgebirge, other towns and communities as well as with support programs, the 3600-soul-town of Kirchenlamitz is becoming increasingly popular as a popular holiday destination.
In this Franconian pearl of the Fichtelgebirge guests are very welcome. And their good money is still worth a lot here. Not to forget the hearty and tasty cuisine that can be enjoyed in the awakened gastronomy. There is a very big piece of pure nature for free.
