My cabin is situated in a quiet woods area on a private road. However, it is easily accessible from Hwy 64 (4 lane) It is tastefully decorated in a mountain decor and has a covered porch which is great for rocking and enjoying the surrounding views and sounds. There is also an open deck which is nice for sunbathing or charcoal cooking. WI FI AVAILABLE and DSL is available in the loft with
a view to the woods.
The setting offers you a peaceful, private vacation but is close to shopping, restaurants, and more activities such as white water rafting or golf.
In the Fall, enjoy nature's beautiful fall colors from the comfort of the cabin and in the Spring and Summer, listen to the wind drifting through the trees and enjoy the cool breezes and enjoy the beautiful flowers.
A perfect setting for your honeymoon or a quiet private couples get away or family vacation.
My cabin is convenient to Ducktown & CopperHill, Tennessee, McCaysville, Blue Ridge, and Blairsville, Georgia. and Campbell School in Brasstown. Murphy is well known to be 2 hours from anywhere. Take day trips to the Cherokee Indian Reservation, Harrah's Casino ,Biltmore Estate in Asheville and Gatlinburg, Tennessee and the nearby WagonMaster Adventure on Hwy 294. . There is gem mining available; trails, etc.

I am a native Floridian and Murphy is my second home. I love being in the woods with all the peace and quiet to 'get away' from lifes hassles, etc.
Linda purchased this cabin in 2006
I had rented several times in the general area and liked it as a 'base' for further exploring. I also read where it is considered about the best for a second home in the U.S.
Relaxing, bird watching and sightseeing in small towns AND close to White Water Rafting areas Flea Markets AND NEW CASINO.
Private woodsy area but conveniently located.
The peace and solitude have allowed my husband and myself to enjoy and appreciate the opportunity to reconnect with each other. We did many things in the area, even though it rained almost everyday, and told some wonderful people about your lovely cabin. We enjoyed Mercier Orchards; rode the Great Smky Mtn Railroad; went to Cherokee casino and just really enjoyed our whole time here. Looking forward to our next visit.
House is perfect and has everything you could need
Highly recommend with kids
We had a very relaxing short stay at the cabin in the woods. Very nice and clean, and relaxing feel. The drive way up to the cabin was a little challenging at first but we got used to it. Very close and convenient to everything. Would highly recommend for relaxing. Hope to return. The one thing I probably will complain about was the eggs in the fridge had been expired for a month. We brought our own but I hope no one else had used them.
The property was very clean and organized.
Had a nice stay in Mirphy ..... Enjoyed the attractions tremendously! The cabin was perfect 😊 would book it again!
We were extremely happy with the "cabin in the woods" from the moment we arrived. The cabin was perfect for our large family, and a perfect home away from home for our vacation. We all enjoyed the home-like atmosphere, nature all around us, the decorations including the bear rug, the wi-fi for all of our electronic devices, and we were pleased with the location, as it was very close to all of the sites we wanted to visit. We enjoyed Fields of the Wood and Helen. The cabin had all necessities, very accommodating. The owner was very pleasant and we appreciated her quick response to our emails with all of our questions. We highly recommend this cabin, and we are making plans to return during the winter. As the children said: This cabin is "beary" awesome, we never want to leave!
Wow, Linda, your Cabin in the Woods was better than advertised! This cabin was so very well stocked with all cooking utensils , linens,etc..! Cabin was very clean and accommodating!! Was easy to find from your directions. The short venture up the hill was a challenge, but fun! We look forward to a return visit next season. Thank You sooo much for everything you provided! We shall return!
