This exquisite one-of-a-kind circa 1870 Queen Anne Victorian manor is located on the second beach block, just steps from the prime shopping and dining district. The Lyric Manor - recognized as an historically significant Jersey Shore residence - sits on a double-sized corner lot and boasts over 4,300 square feet of indoor living space. Having undergone an extensive renovation completed in 2010, the home is configured with 7 bedrooms, 4.5 bathrooms (each with custom marble and ceramic tile work), 10’ ceilings, formal dining and living rooms, a library, a grand main hallway with fireplace, an elegant marble entry-foyer, an expansive chef’s kitchen (with stainless steel appliances, high-end glass tiling, and Silestone counter tops), a 3-zoned central heating and cooling system, Juliet balconies, hardwood floors, custom crown moldings and wainscoting, antique/historic stained glass and leaded glass windows, a stately mahogany porch, and many more premium features. This is a rare opportunity to stay in one of Ocean Grove’s premiere historic residences.
My staff and I stayed at Lyric Manor for a weekend staff retreat and couldn't have had a better experience start to finish. Michael was very thorough and offered suggestions for things to do and places to eat locally, and Viet greeted us with a lovely cake and tour when we checked in. The home was large and comfortable, and was well stocked with everything we could possibly need. We also loved being so close to the beach and shops. I would highly recommend staying at the Lyric Manor if you are looking for a great place to stay in the shore area.
We were there for a girlfriend getaway weekend and had a great time!!
- Beautiful house inside and out, very charming.
- Very comfortable stay. Well maintained and equipped house.
- Great location, close to the beach and to downtown.
- Owners are very easy to deal with! Very responsive and flexible.
Definitely recommend it!
The Lyric Manor is simply the BEST house in Ocean Grove. We have rented this property four years in a row now and look forward to returning each summer. Michael and Viet, the owners, are the kindest and most responsive people that we have ever encountered with a rental. No detail was spared with their renovation of the Lyric Manor, there is no other house that can compare. We cannot wait to return for another beautiful experience next year!
The lyric manor was absolutely beautiful and well maintained. It provided an absolutely perfect place for my fiancé and myself to get ready for our big day. Michael and Viet were gracious hosts and showed us around when we checked in and out. They were very quick to respond to any questions or issues that we had.
We had the most wonderful weekend in Ocean Grove. Nothing has been overlooked in this enormous, beautiful and comfortable home (they even had a pack and play for our little boy). Bedrooms are 2Xs larger than any of the previous homes we have rented in OG. We have found our home away from home at the beach. Only drawback was that we couldn't stay for longer. Already booked for next summer! Michael and Viet are the most gracious hosts. Thanks, Sebastian

'Towns like Ocean Grove have worked hard to rebuild their little bit of paradise and they want to share it with you. Established in 1869, Victorian architecture is still a major draw of the area as is the beach and boardwalk. The downtown district—with cute shops and restaurants—is just two blocks from the famed boardwalk. But, you go to the Shore for the beach and Ocean Grove’s is pristine. It’s popular with families for its annual sandcastle and kite-flying contests, volleyball games, and boogey board races. Ocean Grove is a one-hour drive from Manhattan and Philadelphia, or you can take the train.'
From the Owner:
Ocean Grove is located on the Atlantic Ocean nestled between Asbury Park to the north and Bradley Beach to the south on the Jersey Shore. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, Ocean Grove is noted for its abundant examples of Victorian architecture, sprawling 'concession free' boardwalk, pristine beaches, and charming shopping/dining district.
Ocean Grove’s renowned “Great Auditorium,” which seats over 6,000 audience members, continues to be the focus of cultural life in Ocean Grove. Among the concerts filling the summer schedule are the acclaimed Summer Stars chamber music programs, which bring some of the finest classical musicians from Philadelphia and New York each Thursday night in July and early August. Saturday nights feature popular entertainment, including appearances by Johnny Mathis, ABBA, Linda Eder, the Beach Boys, and comedian Bill Cosby.
