Everything you expect from a beach vacation is available including heated pool, water sports activities, dining (both casual and fine dining), shell hunting, and beautiful sunsets. A car is not a necessity as we are on the Beach Trolley Line and within walking distance of many activities and eateries.

Why Barbara Rourke chose Florida Central Gulf Coast

Our condo is located in the vacation district so there are many activities in close proximity both walking and driving. Busch Gardens in Tampa is only about 1 hour drive. Disney/Sea World/Universal Studios about 2 hour drive. Clearwater Marine Aquarium (home of 'Winter' the dolphin from movie Dolphin Tale) is only 1/2 hour drive.

What makes this condo unique

A car is not a necessity as our condo is also on the beach trolley line with a stop right out in front of the building. There is also bus service available and cabs. There is a shuttle service @ most airports 'SuperShuttle' for transportation to and from airport.

Good location, unit outdated and uncomfortable.

The location for this unit is great, just across the street from Johns pass with great shopping and restaurants. The unit we stayed in needs some updating. It was nearly impossible to connect with "building internet" because of the concrete walls. Need to put modem in unit. Living room furniture was very uncomfortable to sit and watch television. Door lock was not functioning properly, but we were able to get key from office.

My husband and I just completed our Christmas vacation in condo #306 at Sandy Shores, Madeira Beach, FL. Everything went smoothly from the original inquiry several months ago to the check-in on arrival December 28. Condo owner Barb couldn't have been more helpful and we appreciated this very much. The condo was lovely and clean and everything was as described. All necessary amenities were in place. We enjoyed it so much that my husband and I have discussed much longer stays here as we approach retirement.

The condo is beach-side making it close for sunbathing, swimming or walking without having to cross busy Gulf Blvd. The pool is large, heated and well-maintained and we thoroughly enjoyed our 'evening dips' before the pool closed at 10 p.m. Additionally, Johns Pass is directly across the street so it was fun to walk over and shop or enjoy the good restaurants. It was also great fun to watch the fishing boats come in as dozens of pelicans waited for scraps as fish were cleaned right there.

All in all we had an excellent vacation in lovely surroundings. The only downside, if I had to express one, is that the Wi-Fi signal is not strong and would only work if we were out on the balcony - fine when the weather is warm but not so fine if the weather is cool.

Thanks again, Barb for allowing us to be guests for several days in your lovely condo! We would like to return at some point.

Sorry the Wi Fi gave you some trouble... the building is constructed of steel and concrete and sometimes cell phone and Wi Fi signals are not real strong inside the unit... other times it seems to be good. Thank you for taking care of my condo and treating it as if it were your own. You are welcome back anytime... If you want to stay in the months of January, February and March please try to book at least 8 to 9 months ahead because I do sell out the winter months pretty quickly.

Lovely, spacious condo in a perfect setting!

A vacation couldn't be better! What's not to love? Great parking space, spacious condo, beautiful gated pool with thatched huts for shade, gate to the beach, glorious sunsets and Historic St. John's Pass right across the street! Everything you could want for your sunny vacation: pool, beach, shopping, wonderful seafood dining, exceptional sightseeing and a condo that makes you feel right at home. I was surprised at the size of it! It's wonderful and the owners have provided for your every need. I will definitely be going back next time I need a FL vacation!

Very nice. We enjoyed our stay very much

The condo was found clean and neat. The rooms met our needs, although my son and daughter who are 25yrs & 29yrs found the twin beds to be a little small for them, but this did not hamper our vacation. The location was great. We enjoyed the beach and the short walk to John's Pass.

Barbara and i emailed several times and she was very nice. Barbara contacted me prior to our arrival date several times to check to see if i needed anything and to give me the information needed to get in the condo.

Great vacation and we will be back. Highly recommended!!! Thank you, Jeff

Perfect condo on the beach

My husband and I stayed at the Sandy Shores condo. It was extremely clean, and the two bedrooms had just been painted and recarpeted. Beautiful view of the Gulf from the master bedroom and balcony. Great pool and pool area. Lots of good restaurants within walking distance, and more restaurants and LOTS of shops across the street at John's Pass Village. Trolley stops in front of the condo to take you all down Gulf Blvd. We will definitely be back!!
