Just what we needed
Loved everything about the place... Plenty of space for cornhole, great large fire pit for eveyone to fit around and everyone became very addicted to the indoor ring game! Had 11 people and everyone slept comfortably! Looking forward to going back next year!
Great place to stay in PA
Very nice property near lots of things to do outdoors. Very clean, nicely furnished kitchen, secluded lot. Nothing negative to say. We really enjoyed our stay at the Drooly Bear cabin! We would definitely stay there again.
Guys weekend at the Drooley Bear
There is nothing bad that can be said about the Drooley bear. It was more than we expected, and was great for our size group. Was truly ideal for a gathering of friends.
Played horseshoes, bocce, enjoyed the campfire and just porch sitting in the peace and quiet. Enjoyable weekend!!!
Great spring week at Drooly Bear Cabin
We came to fish at Raystown Lake in mid-April and the cabin was a relaxing get-a-way. It is fairly isolated so quite and peaceful. The last half mile of the road in was pot holes so had to go very slowly but plenty of space to park our bass boat on the property and circular drive to turn around in. Cabin was fully equipped and very nice. Enjoyed siting on the front porch and listening to the Spring peepers. The only drawback is that the cabin has heat by a wood stove and no air conditioning in summer. The transition season was not cold enough to build a fire but a little chilly in the house without it. Otherwise a very nice stay and we would return.
Wonderful rural getaway!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Drooly Bear. The location is great for outdoor enthusiasts as we could easily access nearby Trough Creek State Park, mountain biking trails at Raystown Lake, and a nice hike up the 1,000 Steps landmark. There are plenty of beds and a big open living area for a larger group to congregate. Our host was very responsive to our needs and provided an array of information on the cabin and local sights to see.
A Great Escape
Drooly Bear Cabin is a lovely, comfortable, and relaxing place tucked away in a private setting. The cabin is extremely well-appointed with plenty of books, games, and kitchen supplies. Fabulous place for a getaway!
