ARTISAN LOFTS PARIS
Chris purchased this apartment in 2008
Sleep in a former Bakery can be a dream ! We wanted to share the incredible atmosphere of the place with our guests!
-Very good location : 15 minutes away from the the Eiffel Tower, Champs de mars, Seine .
My sister and I stayed in one of Chris and Angie's flats for five nights in June. The flat had everything we needed to live comfortably and to use as a base from which to wander around Paris. It was clean and comfortable and charming. Chris and Angie are a delight to work with, responding quickly to emails and best of all, meeting us at the flat when we arrived and giving us a walking tour of the neighbourhood. The tour included great spots to eat with the locals, and made us quickly feel comfortable in our temporary home. Thank you Angie and Chris. We would gladly stay at any one of your properties again!
We booked this location based upon the favourable reviews, the location and the closeness to amenities. This property delivered on all fronts. Yes it is small. For two people who spent very little time there, it was ideal. A clean comfortable bed. A shower (however small) and laundry facilities. The immediate neighbourhood has excellent bakery (boulangerie) for daily baguettes and pastries. Local cheese and wine as well as super market. All easy walks. Metro station is easy and one of the best systems in the world. Christoph was helpful and gave good advice. We went to Lebanese restaurant twice. It was very good. An excellent time. We heartily recommend and would return. Merci
I chose this apartment for several reasons: I wanted to stay in the 15th for a different experience; and the photos were nice; and who does not want to stay in a converted boulangerie. Small but well equipped. Heat worked well for the few cold and rainy March days. The tv even had a jazz cable station.
Chris' personality makes the place larger and more enjoyable. His knowledge of the neighborhood is spot on. All of his food recommendations were great.
Spacious bathroom for a small space.
The linens and towels were great. The bed and pillows were comfortable.
This review would receive an excellent except for two things: 1. the lack of ventilation and sunlight due to the front gate of the boulangerie -- it was fun rolling it up and down but felt uncomfortable leaving it up at night while sleeping and could not leave up it during the day while touring; and 2. a few dishes were not thoroughly washed. But otherwise the apartment was spotless.
A MUST visit destination in a MUST stay apartment...our recent trip to lovely Paris was just one of the most superb experiences ever (!) thanks to beyond expected Christophe full time hospitality and without a doubt the cosiest loft ever: Boulangerie Room (already missing it!). We stayed there over the Christmas/New Year period and even though Chris was appropriately away with his family he was always available sending a welcome email and recommendations and promptly answering all questions we had. Chris is extremely helpful and professional! About the Boulangerie Room...IDYLLIC...well equipped and everything was functioning, clean and new after a recent renovation. Cosily decorated as the pictures on the website show and surprised with a lovely Christmas tree for us - which really made us felt at home. Thanks again Chris! As for the location, it was PERFECT...the metro station is just around the corner and the line was very easy to travel to every Paris tourist point/attraction. Also the local area is lovely, quiet and safe and there are many restaurants, cafes and bakeries (even supermarkets) which are less than 5 min away (!) and all were excellent (variety, exquisite and with very friendly staff). In summary, UNDOUBTEDLY we had one of the most wonderful visits ever and we HIGHLY RECOMMEND this appartment and owner! Thanks once again for everything Chris we hope to visit you again soon! très reconnaissant! -:)
Question most romantic flat in Paris. Needs to be updated, lack of ventilation and more comfortable bed.Floor fan noisy, needs a ceiling fan and refrigerator freezer was completely frozen.WOULDN'T STAY AGAIN!!
The apartment was clean, a nice building on a quiet street, everything you needed was with within walking distance, every corner a restaurant we could never decide were to eat. I would certainly recommend the apartment and as we stayed in two of Christophe's apartments, without actually meeting him but his associate, who was ever so helpful. Christophe although on holiday himself was never more than an email away. It was a really beautiful experience
Make sure to go to "Rue du Commerce" a famous shopping street of Left bank!
