A Wildlife Paradise on the water across from a Bird Sanctuary and the Gulf of Mexico. Newly renovated, if you want quiet, it is here at Hiller's Hyatt of Hudson! Numerous bird species, including a 'pet' named Kramer, (a Great white egret), a Yellow Crested Night Heron named 'Zorro', A small yellow footed egret named 'Fast Eddie' (formally Yellow Foot), parrots, "Woody," aGreat Blue Heron, Rose spoonbills, wood storks, and a Bald eagle come by. Many roost in the Bird Sanctuary, part of the Werner-Boyce Salt Springs Park.
It is not unusual to see dolphin, manatees, and river otter come by. There is a nice Florida Room with view of water, as well as view of water and Gulf while cooking in the kitchen. Also, a screened in porch for cup of coffee and breakfast as well as a Pergola on the water side. After staying here, you will know why the West Coast is called the Nature Coast.
The sunsets are indescribable, but we think we captured a good one in the picture shown. Since you are staying on the last canal facing the Gulf of Mexico, seeing the sunset every night is a spectacular sight. Come stay at Hiller's Hyatt of Hudson and see why we are a A++++ rating !!

We have lived in Paradise since 2005, loving every minute - the beautiful sunsets, the wildlife here, the warmer weather
Al & Carrie Hiller purchased this mobile home in 2004
Very quiet area - no neighbors across on the water side, just dolphin, birds, and manatees
Good fishing even from the dock ! Bird sanctuary at Werner Boyce Salt Springs State Park end where a lot of species of birds roost every night, a sight to see ! If you are watching, you may see a dolphin or two fishing in the water, or a manatee family swim by.
we had a wonderful stay despite hurricaine hermine! the house is beautiful and comfortable everything you need is there. Carrie and Al were wonderful to work with and even had balloons wishing us a happy honeymoon when we arrived!! the community is small and peaceful and being right on the water is amazing. we definitely will stay here again!
Al and Carrie's place consistently earns great reviews. I found it to be everything it was described to be. Al and Carrie are perfect hosts and yes, this place will be my first choice if I return to the area.
Al and Carrie are wonderful, generous hosts. Would stay here again in a heartbeat! Property is clean, quiet and well cared for. If you are ready for fishing, bird watching and outdoor relaxation this is the place for you. You will have everything you need including full remodeled kitchen, propane grill, indoor washer/dryer, internet and cold AC!!
Al and Carrie make them themselves available-always willing to help and answer questions about the area, etc.
No need to spend more money elsewhere......
If you are looking for peace and tranquillity with your morning coffee then this is the place for you but don't let that take away from the afternoons or evening enjoyment found on the patio just outside the back door. The changing of the tide as well as the bird watching (thanks to the sanctuary) right across the canal. You will be treated to daily visits from the birds such as Kramer, Fast Eddy as well as Woody, just to mention a few. As the view from the patio is westward, we were treated to amazing sunsets and a totally non "light polluted" skies for star gazing. The thrill you get the first time you see a dolphin pass by in the canal is unforgettable.
The place is so well equipped you will need for nothing and with large window in the newly renovated kitchen it not only provides a great view over the canal but is a dream to work in. We enjoyed the fact that we were close to anything you could want to do or see in Florida but yet still far enough away for the total relaxation. Al and Carrie are both wonderful people that are a fountain of information for almost any place to go or things to do while you are staying there. With great people like that who wouldn't want to go back again. Thanks Al and Carrie for a great vacation Bonnie & "T"
We had stayed on the other coast of Florida for several years. The former place we had rented every April changed to a full time rental. We decided to try something different, got on VRBO and found this property. We decided to give it a try and couldn't have been any happier. The property is exceptionally clean, well maintained, and has great internet (fast) and includes a washer/dryer and cable television. Everything is comfortable and clean. Al and Carrie are the nicest people you will ever expect to meet. Al showed me how to fish there and was kind enough to take me fishing on 2 occasions. We live in Alaska and the fishing was possibly better in Florida. You can catch lots of fish right off the dock, just get out early in the morning. The birds were great, we saw all of the birds on the website, some several times a day, (Cramer). Al and Carrie told us a lot about what to do in the local area and we found there were a lot of nice antique shops and good places to eat close to the rental. The neighborhood where the rental is located is a quiet residential area close to everything, but far enough from the "tourist traps" to be very relaxing and quiet. I would not hesitate to recommend this property and look forward to going back there again!!
Have just stayed here for two months. A very nice location by the water. The viewing and interaction with the wildlife was fantastic. Very convenient to other amenities - shopping, restaurants, parks, golf courses, etc. You could not ask for nicer people to do business with - Carrie and Al who were right next door. Very gracious and generous.
Only 40 minutes drive to downtown Tampa - museum, zoo, aquarium, Big Cat Rescue. Clearwater about 50 min.- beaches and Dolphin Rescue. Brighthouse Field and Tropicana Field for baseball fans.
Hudson Beach is small but has a spectacular view ! There are quite a few restaurants close by if you like eating out. There are 2 restaurants at Hudson Beach, one with music to watch the sunset by, and a colorful outdoor bar nearby. If you enjoy ice cream, there is a local ice cream parlor close. There are many other nearby restaurants and marinas, like Get Hooked at Port Hudson, Greek restaurant, Inn on the Gulf, Crab Shack, Catches & Rum River Tiki Hut, & Whiskey River to name a few.
Some of the world famous beaches are in Clearwater and St Pete which is to the South of Hudson and it's about 50 minutes away. You can go 20 minutes north to Weekee Wachi to watch the world famous mermaids show or 45 min. north to Homosassa Springs State Park to see the manatees. World famous sponge dock, Tarpon Springs, is within 20 minutes away, a cute little Greek town with many great Greek restaurants. World famous theme park like Disneyworld, Seaworld, Bush Garden, Epcot Center, Kennedy Space Center are all within 45 min. to 2 hours away.
There are many other things to do close by like fishing, boating, sailing, sightseeing, antiquing, live theater, golfing, miniature golf, flea market, horseback riding, zoo/wildlife park, kayaking, water skiing, swimming, shelling and many more.
