Hi! I am a 'semi-retired' Human Resources Manager who just relocated to Kennewick, WA from Portland, Oregon. I spent the last 19 years in Portland and have moved to a little slower paced life! I am from an Air Force family, so I have had incredible opportunities to travel and live in different parts of the U.S. and Asia. I have the 'wanderlust' and love to 'live the life' of the areas I travel to. Favorite places so far -- St. John, USVI, Italy and Paris. I have an incredibly fun & loving family. Raising 2 West Highland Terriers - keeps me on my toes! I love to garden, snow ski, travel and spend time with my 2 sisters and great friends - wine tasting, gourmet cooking, etc. New hobby - teaching myself to knit!
Pam Obenchain purchased this house in 1999
I built this chalet at Eagle Crest in Central Oregon 16 years ago, during a fight for my life with Breast Cancer--surgery, 6 months of chemo and 5 weeks of radiation ! I am now a 16+ year survivor and enjoying life everyday!! Why I chose to buy the chalet in Central Oregon? Well, Eagle Crest (Redmond, Oregon) receives 300 days of sunshine a year. So, it is a great place to go in the summer or winter when the cold or dreariness gets to me or just looking for peace and tranquility. Eagle Crest Resort is so beautiful and the air smells so wonderful from the juniper trees!! While it is quiet and spacious, there is always something to do and a lot of activity going on over there.
The number one benefit I enjoy while staying at my chalet is how I feel when I walk through that front door -- 'Sans Souci' (means without a care or worry in French). We found the name in the book, 'The Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood' - it was their summer hideout! I just leave all the stress, worries, issues behind! It is very quiet and I love sitting on the deck early in the morning with a cup of coffee listening to the birds chirping and basking in the sunshine! Or watching the deer come up to the deck in the winter and spring looking for a little food from the sage and scrub brush (they even make an appearance in the summer sometimes!). Also, the living room, kitchen area and loft is knotty wood pine and there is a river rock fireplace that makes you feel like you have walked into a mountain cabin!! I think it is unique to feel like you are in a mountain cabin but on the 15th Fairway of a fabulous golf course! Other benefits that are not necessarily unique are the options to do almost any type of activity - sports, nature, spa, etc. - anything that you might be interested in within a 45 minute radius! It is such a great place to gather with friends and family.. I would love for you to enjoy it too!!
This is the second time we've stayed at this home in Eagle Crest. It's quiet and centrally located for easy access to Bend, Sisters, Smith Rocks and lots of other great adventures. The house is clean and the kitchen is well stocked. We will stay here again!
We have made multiple stays at this delightful home. It is perfect for families, and can be elegant if you wish. Cooking utensils and pans are plentiful, games and videos are available, and feels private even though it is next to the golf course. Thanks again!
What a beautiful, comfy vacation home! Everything was spotless when we arrived; plenty of towels, well furnished kitchen and lots of deer! The whole community is well maintained and beautifully landscaped. Pam was very good to work with and quickly responding to all our questions and offered a prompt security deposit refund. Thanks for providing a delightful "base" for our travels around Central Oregon!
House and property were beautiful. Right on golf course. Beds were comfortable. House is fully equipped. Definitely recommend to friends.
First thing we noticed when we arrived was how immaculatelay clean this Chalet was. It was decorated very well and made you feel very comfortable and relaxed. Extremely comfortable beds, all the cooking utensils you could need, serving dishes and appliances. Right on the 15th fairway, with nice views from the relaxing deck and hot tub. Saw many deer and bunnies, throughly an enjoyable cabin home. A great vacation home, we will be back again for sure!! Thank you!
We had a wonderful time at the chalet. It was the second time we've stayed there, and it was perfect for us and our pets. Clean, well-stocked, and extremely comfortable. We will definitely stay here again!
