Enjoy the peace and tranquility of a quiet mountain lake, towering pines, amazing sunsets and dark night skies filled with bright, sparkling stars. Our lakefront cabin overlooks Saturday Pond, a spring-fed, crystal clear lake which is home to several loons, hawks, great blue herons, osprey and an occasional eagle and moose. The lake is 179 acres with maximum depths of about 25 feet and has bass, perch and pickerel in its waters which makes for great fishing. Saturday Pond is located in the town of Otisfield, Maine about 35 miles northwest of Portland near the Sebago Lakes region.
This charming vacation retreat is neat, clean, comfortable and has many of the amenities of home. A sun-filled great room houses the living and dining areas and provides spectacular views of the lake. Step out the living room door and enjoy your morning cup of coffee on the deck. The cabin has lots of open space to relax and unwind and can comfortably accommodate a family of five. Besides the master bedroom, the other bedroom has a single over double bunk bed. The great room has two futons which can open up to sleep additional guests. Or, inquire about our other cabin located nearby - great for another family or set of friends. Your very own private compound on the lake!
Perfect for those lazy days of summer filled with swimming, canoeing, fishing (off the dock or in one of the lake’s coves), reading a book in the hammock, picking blueberries, lobster dinners, barbecues, and cooking marshmallows for s’mores over the fire pit at the lake's edge. For a change of scenery, drive to the Maine coast for the day to swim at one of its many beaches, visit its lighthouses and quaint towns. Or, enjoy the crisp days of autumn, fall foliage and breathtaking mountain views while visiting the many antique shops, gift stores, local farm stands and country fairs. Designer outlet shopping abounds only forty-five minutes away in the Mount Washington area of North Conway, New Hampshire or about an hour’s drive to Freeport, the home of the original LL Bean store. Or, visit the many shops and fine restaurants also an hour away in the Old Port Exchange in Portland.

About Ellen Attaliades
Welcome to our beloved cabin! My husband and I bought this cabin when our daughter was 15 months old. At that time, we were looking to buy a small “get-away” cabin in the Sebago Lakes Region. My sister and her family lives in Otisfield and my husband had previously lived in Harrison on Long Lake. We looked at 52 properties (to be exact), before I happened to see an ad in the local newspaper about a cabin for sale on Saturday Pond. Saturday Pond was near and dear to my heart, as I had spent many summers on the lake since I was eleven years old. My parents worked at a boys’ summer camp called Great Oaks Camp (GOC). Incredulously, the old camp’s property abutted the property of the cabin we were interested in purchasing. It was a dream come true to be able to buy this cabin, re-connect with family and old friends associated with the camp and have my daughter and my nephew spend summers on the shores of Saturday Pond as I did. We treasure our crystal clear pond, the many friends we have made and all the memories we hold of wondrous times on the lake. We hope you will have a peaceful, tranquil stay - a return to nature among whispering pines and the call of the loons. - Jim and Ellen

Lake Front Resort
The resort was gorgeous and peaceful. The only draw back was my daughter said the spare bedroom was that the mattress was lumpy and uncomfortable
Thank you for your rating and comments. We love our very peaceful "haven". We're very sorry that the bunk bed was not comfortable. It came outfitted with futon mattresses and based on your comments, we have recently bought brand new mattresses to replace the futons.
We hope to see you again!
Peaceful, comfortable pond retreat (October, 2017)
My wife and I only had 2 nights here (mid-October) but wish we had planned for more. What a beautiful place! The cabin was spotless, comfortable and inviting with the high bay windows and sunken living room facing Saturday Pond and the western sunsets. Kitchen is well stocked with cookware and utensils. Queen bedroom very comfortable. Spent our evenings relaxing in adirondack chairs on the dock watching the incredible sunsets (unfortunately, the loons have already headed to the coast by mid-Oct.). Planned to canoe the pond but it was too windy the one day we had to explore. Instead we hiked around the nearby Jugtown Forest trails (not terribly scenic, but good exercise) and a few of the trails in Sebago Lake state park. Enjoyed talking with Jim, the owner, who was there to mow the lawns. Definitely follow Ellen's recommendation to drive up the road to the high point and look back over Saturday and Moose ponds with Mt. Washington in the distance..... stunning view with riot of fall colors in the foreground. Highly recommend the Peaceful Pines cabins if you are in the area. Thanks Jim and Ellen for sharing your dream.
Great Lake house
My friends and I loved staying here!! The house is so cozy and right on the lake! I would definitely recommend this house to a group of friends or a family looking for a quiet place to spend a week or weekend!!
Fun in the sun
well laid out, quiet by the pond, caught many fish, loons and even a couple of otters swam by. Wonderful family next door from New Jersey, their sons Calvin and Miles were fun to be around.
Good family time
Very nice owner and happy to find this place
Very clean, well maintained, beautiful spot on Saturday Pond.
We had a wonderful time. The cabin was very clean and had all the amenities you'd need. We loved staying up late at the fire pit right on the water, the sunset. Lots of cute things around the house to look at. Shower was great, water very hot and nice shower head. Good wifi and satellite TV. One queen bed very comfortable. All other beds were futon matresses and I find those pretty hard. The owner was very responsive and we had a wonderful weekend visiting this special place.
