This charmingly furnished house, with traditional Hawaiiana decor and lanais is surrounded by a lush tropical garden. We've provided all the comforts of home in the world's most spectacular setting on Kauai, 'The Garden Island' of Hawaii.
You will seldom need your car after arriving as both the beach and charming Hanalei Village are within walking distance with its excellent restaurants, lively night spots, and shopping. Only a block and a half away is the world-famous, crescent-shaped Hanalei Bay, ranked by National Geographic Traveler as one of the top ten beaches in the world. This exceptional setting is never overwhelmed by tourists as it can only be reached over a quaint network of one lane bridges through beautiful taro fields and lush rain forest.
In the Regular season, guests have option of closing off any one or two bedrooms of their choice for a reduced rate. Please check calendar to see what's available.

Another great vacation at the Taj Ma Hale. We can't say enough about the location and the layout of this home. Great house for gathering with family and friends. The neighborhood is super quiet and all the neighbors are very nice and respectful of each other. The house had everything we needed. Well stocked with towels and toys for the beach . Property was as advertised. Owner responsive to all questions. Well maintained and clean. Looks even nicer than pictures. Great for our family of nine. Mom loved the kitchen. Wife loved the master suite and king bed. Kids want to know when we can stay again. Wish they could fit more than ten so I can bring the rest of the family. Mahalo.
We had such a great time staying at Taj Ma Hale. We were there with two families, and the bedroom setup was so ideal, since there are two really comfortable master bedrooms with luxurious bathrooms, along with the other three smaller bedrooms for the kids.
The kitchen was spacious and well stocked, and there was enough room for a few people to cook in the kitchen at the same time. The second sink was really a plus.
I do wish there were a larger dining room table, as it was a bit tight when all of us sat down together for meals, but we appreciated the old Hawaiiana style of the table and a lot of the furniture around the house.
We also wished there were bicycles to use, but we ended up renting them, and I would suggest that for other guests. It made going into town and exploring Hanalei a lot of fun.
We would definitely stay again.
We first went to the Taj Ma Hale in October 2012 and the second time was in 2013. We so much enjoyed your home -- thank you for letting us stay. It is set up very nicely -- the kitchen has everything we needed to cook. The bed and bathrooms have plenty of towels and sheets and the house comes with a washer and dryer. We loved that it is walking distance to the beach and there were plenty of beach things to take with us. It is so peaceful in Hanalei and the island has so many things to do. We appreciated having wifi at the house and were glad to know that if anything went wrong we had numbers handy to call the manger or housekeeper. We loved the list of places and restaurants that were recommended. We are returning for our third time this October and are very much looking forward to another great vacation. Thanks so much for your lovely home!
We stayed at this home in November of 2015. Seeing the house on vrbo with the caption "quiet" brought our stay right back to me. The house is great, laid out nicely, well stocked, etc. The management is excellent, very professional and responsive. I would give it five star except our vacation was ruined by the skateboard ramp that had been recently constructed and was being used by a full-time resident's children and friends next door. Before school, after school... all day on the Holiday and weekends. The constant skateboard noise was awful and I can't believe this home is still listed as being in a "quiet cul de sac". I use vrbo ratings and consider them very carefully when booking a unit and unfortunately I can only believe it is fair to post this as a warning for future renters.

Hanalei Bay, ranked one of the top ten beaches in the world, is a great place for walking, jogging, swimming, surfing and boogey boarding. Snorkeling at Tunnels Beach is a short drive away. Our deck is a great place for bird watching.
