This place was a really great place. It was very clean and put together, the kitchen was full of all the supplies you need, the gas grill works very well. Mike the owner is very friendly and will give you great ideas. Also the property is a beautiful place and very well kept. Not far at all from Bar Harbor. It really is the ideal place to stay!!!!!! Owner's Response: We really enjoy the rental business and make every effort to help our guests vacation be as enjoyable as possible. We built our one bedroom cottage twenty one years ago and this unit in 2000. We have met some wonderful people during that time who have come back again and again and become our friends. One of those families now lives next door. This is a beautiful island that we are happy to share.

Great location, away from the noise of town, we would stay here again.

  • 4 of 5

I thought the location was perfect. We were a couple minutes drive from the park entrance and Bar Harbor. Construction is going on on Rt.3 so we did have to detour everyday. The owners were very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed eating breakfast and lunch at "home" (a real money saver) and had many delicious dinners in town. All in all it was a wonderful vacation. Maine is just gorgeous.

Wonderful place!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I stayed at Kelley's guest house for 1 week in July 2017. It was just as advertised. We had plenty of space; the kitchen was very well stocked; the master bedroom was tiny but adequate -- the mattress was soooo comfy -- so was the sofa and the chair with ottoman! One note: the shower is very tiny -- just enough room for a person of average height and size to fit in and no tub. Didn't bother us but I did wonder how we would have managed if we'd been "larger". We really enjoyed the deck and ate breakfast there almost every morning (and I enjoyed a glass of wine there several nights as well). We saw bald eagles several times from the deck; we also enjoyed walking the few houses down to the Cove -- got a few beautiful sunset pictures. Except for the construction on Route 3 that caused a detour coming back from Bar Harbor and the park, it was VERY CONVENIENT to everything we wanted to do. The owners are great to work with and should we ever decide to visit Acadia for a 4th time, we would certainly stay here again.

Owner's Response: When I designed this unit I decided to have the common area open and spacious and the bedrooms a bit smaller. A queen size bed fits nicely with some walking room around the sides and a small bedside table on both sides. I'm glad that you got to see the eagles. We frequently see osprey and hawks, too. I was relieved when the road construction was past us this spring. Driving back from Bar Harbor on the Crooked Road actually saves a little time. Thank you for taking the time to review the property. I hope to see you again. Sue and Mike

Cute, comfortable place to stay

  • 5 of 5

My husband, 3 year old daughter, husky, and myself sincerely enjoyed our stay at Kelley's Cottage. It was a very cutely decorated two bedroom cottage that was amazingly organized. There was absolutely everything you would need while on vacation. Susan and Mike did an awesome job making sure we had everything we needed. They were even kind enough to bring over a dog gate for the deck so our husky wouldn't take off if we wanted to sit outside on the deck. The cottage was very close to Acadia and downtown Bar Harbor. If there were one thing we could have changed it would be to set the cottage back a little further away from route 3 but that wasn't even a big deal. I really don't have anything bad to say about our stay. We would definitely go back next year!
