Beautifully decorated large studio with fully-equipped complete kitchen. Queen-size bed, and a sitting area with a futon sofa. On the top floor, with Diamond Head and Palolo Valley views through floor-to-ceiling sound-proofing windows, this condo is quiet for sleeping. Free unlimited hi-speed WIFI, premium cable television, DVD, a/c, and other extras included for your comfort and enjoyment.

As your home away from home, the condo is furnished with beach chairs, towels, umbrella, snorkel equipment, and boogie board. The kitchen-- with full-size refrigerator--has pots/pans, dishes, flatware, stove, convection oven, microwave, coffeemaker, toaster, rice cooker, etc.

Perfect place for two!

Mahalo Mike! From the first email communication, getting questions answered, registration and our stay it was a complete delight to work with you, your staff and stay at the condo. My girlfriend & I were in Waikiki for a week and loved this location! A block from the beach, close to bus stop, Starbucks, ABC store, restaurants but yet at the quiet end of "the strip" so sleeping and down time in the condo was just as enjoyable as being out and about. It was a very safe, secure neighborhood to be traveling alone, with a friend, or small children. We had everything needed in the Condo, it's like you/your staff has thought of it all.

We both stated we would stay again or bring our husbands back and book this condo in the future. Your email to follow-up on our stay and confirm we made it home safe was very thoughtful.

If your going to do Waikiki, it might as well be in a quaint, clean condo with just the right amount of amenities to make your stay a great on! I would highly recommend staying at this place.

Clean, great views, close to everything.

My husband and I have just returned from a 6 night stay here.The condo was just how it was described on VRBO, it had everything we needed to make our stay an enjoyable one. The location was great, and the rooftop sundeck was definitely an added bonus. Mike was very easy to deal with and prompt with a reply to any questions I asked. I would highly recommend this condo at the Waikiki Grand to anyone who was looking for a relaxing place close to everything , but just a short walk away from the main strip of Waikiki which can be a bit crazy at times.

Absolutely loved it!!! Exactly as described, AMAZING location, the sun deck is the best views I've ever had from stay in Waikiki .....Starbucks is steps away, ABC of course are steps away, bar on second floor has huge portions low price's WOW WOW...on on on...

Great condo & landlord - fantastic experience

I have spent the past five months in Mike's condo as my temporary home during my exchange study semester (to complete my MBA) here in Hawaii. And I can truly give both Mike (landlord) and the place a 5-star rating, after having 'tested' both of the thoroughly:

The condo's location is simply perfect, about 100m away from Waikiki (Queen's) beach, and up on the 9th floor, and hence, perfectly sheltered from eventual noise from the street, the bar, or the burger place (as reported in reviews from condos from lower levels). The pictures on the Internet (VRBO) display a truthful image of the place - it looks *exactly* as cool as shown on the photos.

The condo has windows on two sides and a ceiling fan, which allows a natural breeze to come through, and hence, becoming the use of air-condition almost obsolete.

The condo is very clean and also both well and practically equipped:besides the 'expected' equipment in the kitchen, bath, and 'living room' area, it also offers beach equipment such as snorkelling gear, sun chairs, boogie boards, ice chest, sun umbrella etc, which comes in very handy with the beach just away.

The community sundeck - the absolute 'jackpot' feature of the place - offers stunning views and sunsets over diamond head, the Honolulu zoo, Kapi'olani park and Waikiki beach, and is located only one floor above the condo and hence, the perfect place to eat brekkie, lunch & dinner, do some (study) reading or even work (wifi access), or to simply enjoy the sunset with a glass of wine.

Glassfibre high-speed WIFI internet (newly installed in Dec2015) is free. Waste disposal facilities are located at the end of the floor, and laundry facilities at the basement level.

The front desk personnel and the new building manager (since Aug 2015) are very friendly and helpful, eventhough the condo is actually not within their 'scope of work/concern', as it is privately owned and managed.

This brings me to the last point, the owner: Mike is a fantastic landlord and a lovely person and truly understands the customer service business. He responds super-fast to emails and/or any queries, and gets things sorted straight away. He's always been happy to offer useful information about the place, living/getting around in Waikiki, and goes many 'extra miles' to make sure that everything works perfectly. Mike, a big MAHALO for making my exchange study semester such a wonderful experience, by offering me your perfect place as a temporary home!😀

Having spoken to you, I know that you enjoyed the uniqueness of this condo as have other returning long-term guests--namely the refreshing cross-breeze felt with having windows on both sides of the unit. The condo is also efficiently air conditioned, if that is the preference, but enjoying the tradewinds makes for wonderful option for those preferring a more natural alternative. The choice is for the guest :-).

Location, Location, Location

The title says it all! Across from the zoo and view of Diamond head. My husband and I stayed for a month and we loved it. We have been to Waikiki several times but only for a week each and at the North end. Great cross breeze in the condo so the AC was never on during the day. We just turned it on at night. The listing was as described. So close to the beach we never went to the pool. Plenty of everything you need- dishes, pots and pans. The owner far exceeds customer service and checked in on us to make sure everything was alright. Bus stops are very convenient and if you are a walker as we are, you can walk anywhere. I would recommend and I plan to return. Enjoy. Weather is terrific and do go to the roof top for morning coffee and sunrise. Visit again for the evening sunsets or anytime for the view.

Please don't forget to close all of the window when using the a/c, to get its' best cooling affects (it sounds like you got all of the best affects of the view from the sundeck :-).
