The apartment has all luxuries including air conditioning, a computer with internet connection, a telephone, a large satellite LCD TV with a DVD player, a Hi-Fi Stereo system, a safe, a washing machine, and a dishwasher.
We loved the location of this apartment! The neighborhood had lots of cool restaurants and bars. It was walking distance to Trevi Fountain and the coliseum. If you needed to get a taxi, there was a taxi stand on the next street over.
The best thing about this apartment is the terrace! We enjoyed watching the sunset every night!
Our host Giuseppe was very helpful. He gave us a local area map and suggested some good restaurants. He also helped us get a great deal on our train tickets from Rome to Florence!
The only negatives, is that the bed is very hard and was not comfortable for my husband and I to sleep on. Also their is a washing machine but it takes about 2 hrs to do a wash. So plan on staying in one morning or afternoon to do your wash.
We would definitely reccomend this apartment if you are in Rome
The location was brilliant and the balcony was fantastic. The only downfall was the pillows needed replacing and the floors needed a bit of a clean. Overall I would still recommend the property.
Our apartment was well furnished, clean and comfortable. The highlight for us was the roof terrace, it was a lovely big space where we could sit out in the October sun and relax. The location was excellent, we were able to access the centro storico easily on foot, and if we chose to get a taxi back to the apartment the fare was relatively low. Giuseppe was polite and customer service was good throughout the process, from booking to departure. Would definitely recommend.
I have stayed in different parts of Rome bofore but never in Monti, and I must say that I fell in love with the area. Beautiful building, excellent central, but quiet location and a wonderful terrace where we had breakfast with a view! I loved the attention to detail, things like maps, a computer to send an email, even coffee an olive oil were all there, the shower was wonderfully renovated and I loved the state-of-art wooden floors. The host is lovely! I would very much recommend this to anyone looking to spend some romantic/family time in Rome. We parked our car in Borghese parking (18Euro for 24 hours) and enjoyed walking around the city. Will be back again!
Upon arrival, we were greeted by the housekeeper and given instructions on clothes washing machine and A/C, etc. We spent 8 wonderful days here and found the location to be perfect. While close to everything (Colosseum, Trevi, metros and bus lines), the restaurants towards Cavour Metro are great, but aren't packed with tourists like you see in other areas. Bus lines run down Via Nazionale frequently, so you can get a pass to ride the subway/tram/bus for 24 Euro for 7 days, which gets you around Roma really easily. We had a great wine tasting session close by at Vino Roma, as well. Everything about the apartment was lovely. With a working kitchen, I was able to make breakfasts, coffee, and a couple dinners. There is a supermarket two blocks away on Via Dei Serpenti. The apartment was well equipped, except it needed a hand towel or two for the kitchen. The wifi worked most of the time. The building is very quiet. The terrace is peaceful and secluded.
On our second night, we were awakened by the swaying of the building from the earthquake that struck Amatrice. We weren't very sure of what was happening since we live in Ohio where earthquakes are of no concern, and went back to sleep about 20 minutes later. In hindsight, I don't know what we would have done differently, but maybe we should have gone down the steps and outside for a few minutes?? Regardless, the building held up just fine. The elevator continued to work, all services were uninterrupted.
This apartment is the perfect place to stay if you want to be within walking distance of ALL the sights and stay in a lovely and fully outfitted apartment. 5 minutes to Ancient Roman Forum and Collesum, 10 minutes to Pantheon, Trevi and Campo, about a two mile walk to Vatican City. Giuseppe was a wonderful host and sat with us to give suggestions on resturants and details on how to get around, he even booked us a car to the airport on the day of our departure. We will certainly be recommending this property to friends and family traveling to Rome.
