Great space, family friendly

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful stay at Jane's place! Tonnes of space and lots of light, all essentials were provided. We really appreciated the playpen and high chair for our one year old. Beautiful views of the gorge, and right by a lovely park and playground. We spent one rainy evening cozied up by the wood fireplace, and another relaxing outside in the hot tub. Stay here - you won't be disappointed!

Wonderful cozy accomodations near downtown

  • 4 of 5

Property is situated convenient to downtown at the end of a cul de sac with a nice water view; didn't make it over to the park/garden due to weather, but it'd be a lovely walk.

The duplex apartment is comfortable and very functional; bring dvds to play! Appreciated having the kitchen for meals.

Beds and linens were comfortable as was the bathroom.

Would definitely book here again.

I could spend hours looking out the window of this beautifully located vacation rental! Pure delight

  • 5 of 5

This location is absolutely unique - while you are in the middle of a busy city and only minutes from downtown, the quiet and nighttime darkness speak of a rural retreat. The ever changing view of the tidal estuary and accompanying wild life provided us with endless entertainment. My husband and I stayed for a month during winter and took daily advantage of the nearby walking paths and park. Our visiting granddaughter loved the proximity of the children's playground and Japanese garden just across the foot bridge. The apartment is large and the living room with wood burning fireplace is extremely comfortable. There is a patio hot tub that looks out on the waterway and our host Jane was always friendly and accommodating. While this is not luxury accommodation in terms of furnishings and appliances, that is easily overlooked because of the sublime location and overall comfort. I should add the apartment was spotless upon arrival. We'd love to come back anytime of the year!

A marvelous place to stay!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I stayed in this delightful downstairs apartment for five days this summer and would gladly have stayed longer, Cool, comfortable, quiet, spacious with splendid views, we truly felt that we were coming home each evening when we returned from the day's adventure. Jane is delightful and very helpful. She provided us with valuable information and suggestions. For instance, she sent us to Enterprise to rent a car because they deliver it to your doorstep, and she helped us figure the best way to get to Butchart Gardens.. She also directed us to the bus stop into downtown Victoria is also very close by and and easy to use. All in all, a perfect getaway place, green and lovely.

Charming location in central area

  • 5 of 5

My husband, (not-quite-2-year-old) daughter, and I stayed for 6 nights and had a fantastic time! Jane was a superb host, who made sure we had everything we needed and suggested plenty of things to do. The property is just across a little walking bridge to a beautiful park (complete with a really fun playground, and swings that even the adults can enjoy), and feels remote, though it is only a 10-15 minute drive from the heart of the city, or a short walk to nearby stores.

It was the perfect spot for us and our little one, but would be equally ideal for a couple, family with two kids, or a small group of adults. We would definitely recommend staying here and hope that when we come back to Victoria she isn't already booked!

Car: not necessary

I supply a canoe for you to enjoy. The 17 acre Esquimalt Gorge Park is a few meters away. Besides the beautiful walk along the waterfront there is an outstanding Japanese Garden complete with goldfish. There is a UVic sponsored, hands on ocean experience in the park. There is a playground close by. From your patio you have a very quiet view of the ocean and park. The hot tub also is a bonus to relax you. A great place to

unwind after a day of sight seeing.
