My dad's side of the family is from Pinetop, Arizona. I have always loved the area and hoped to own a home there someday. While looking at homes for sale in 2007, one in particular caught our eyes. When my wife liked what she saw my dream became a reality and we bought our cabin in May 2007.
Our cabin was built by Stewart and Genevieve Elson in 1972. It is now called Adair Springs Cabin, in honor of my ancestors who founded the town of Adair where Fools Hollow Lake is currently located and who later settled in Pinetop and Lakeside. It is used as a second home and vacation rental. I hope my guests enjoy the cabin as much as we do.
Came to get out of the heat and work on our golf game! Your place is perfect for a nice weekend getaway. Close to our friend's cabin also! We would definitely recommend others. Wonderful place!

This cabin is loved by the Adair's and it shows! In a quiet neighborhood but right in the heart of town. We went over New Years Eve when a lot of snow came, absolutely beautiful...
The fireplace is definitely a huge bonus!
My only advice is that if you do not have a 4WD to use Rim Road... :)
The cabin is adorable and we loved sitting in front of the fireplace. The location was perfect for our short skiing trip to Sunrise. I wish the description had given more information about the cleaning policy. We didn't learn until after we had booked the cabin that we needed to bring our own linens, or else wash, dry and put away the linens in the closet. I've never stayed somewhere that required we make up our own beds and then wash the linens for the next guests. The cleaning policy was also a little confusing. Although we paid a cleaning fee, the directions on the fridge asked us to sweep and mop the floors.
Although we loved the cabin, I don't know if I would stay again knowing I have to take my own linens or wash the linens I use in the cabin.
The cabin was a great place to stay. The only downside to it is that there is no wifi. If you want to get away from the world though, it's a perfect place.
We had a great time at The Adair Cabin. Our girls enjoyed a gorgeous white Christmas! We appreciated the kitchen being well stocked with all the pots, pans, dishes, etc. The only suggestions I'd offer would be to replace all linens and towels, replace bathroom rugs, and reupholster kitchen chairs. I'd maybe also include wifi. All in all it was a great stay!
