Our cabin on the grounds of Old Camp Miramichee, which was THE YWCA camp for girls and young women, lies less than two minutes from the Southfork of the Spring river, and it is indeed a place of rest and refreshment. Once the kitchen of the dining hall for Camp Miramichee, our cabin has been converted to a two bedroom, one full bath cabin with full kitchen facilities, and a lounge area equipped with satellite television for your enjoyment and relaxation. The large porch facing the parking area was once the place for campers to have snacks given to us by Ophelia, our cook. The memories of banana pudding and bug juice linger. This cabin lies in close proximity to the Southfork of the Spring River—less than a two minute walk.. One may enjoy swimming, canoeing, fishing, or simply sitting by the river watching and listening to the water flow and re-creating oneself after a busy work week. Should you, our guest, be more adventurous, horseback riding, golfing, and a new zipline as well as an array of other activities are available in the nearby areas.
The Cabin is closed and winterized from November 1-Approximately April 15th of each year. Opening dates will be dependent upon the weather in Hardy.

I am a former camper of Camp Miramichee and enjoyed many wonderful summers up in Hardy AR. Love to canoe and swim in the refreshing waters of the Spring River. .
Carolyn Wright purchased this cabin in 2006
This cabin used to be Kitchen preparation area of the Dining Hall of Old Camp Miramichee.
Very close proximity to the River for enjoying canoeing with friends. Also nice to just hang out and enjoy some rest from the rat race of everyday city life. Great food, great people!!!
As other reviews have said, they keep this place very clean. It's nothing fancy, but it's a nice little 2 bedroom cabin in a very quiet area. The landscaping could use a little attention but its not horrible. The quaint town of Hardy is just a few minutes drive away. Don't leave without eating at the Pig & Whistle! A very nice British guy owns it and the food is excellent British pub fare.
We came down on Thursday to get in a couple days of fishing in before a scheduled weekend float trip. I had never been to this area before and the owner of my cabin told me I could cross through a gate that has a no trespassing sign and fish in the river which is about a hundred yards or so from the cabin. There are two cabins between this one and the spring River. The owner of the cabin closest to the river was upset that the owner of my cabin is telling people that they can fish in the river there. It is, in fact, private property he explained, and he has every right to not let people trespass. I agree. There are other public fishing access points a short drive away, though. This part of the river is more known for catfish and smallmouth bass. I decided to make the 15 min drive north up to Dam 3 for trout fishing. Fishing was very good considering how cloudy the water was from recent rains. We feasted on rainbow and cutthroat trout every day and still had plenty to bring home.
Overall, it was a very nice getaway. You won't be disappointed with the cleanliness of the cabin. It is well stocked with everything you need if you prefer to do your own cooking. Just prepare to get an ear full if you try to fish at the section of the river closest to the cabin lol.
Loved this homey little cabin! Mrs. Carolyn was so helpful and made sure we had everything we needed before our trip! She provided us with directions and places to shop, eat, pit stops, etc! The cabin had everything we needed and was perfect for 4 people. I would most definitely stay here again!
We went here on our honeymoon, we loved it! Perfect place to stay.
The cabin was wonderful! Very clean! Ms. Carolyn was extremely helpful with everything.
We just spent 2 nights at this place, we enjoyed the peace and quiet of this cabin. The cabin was so nice and clean and close enough to the water to still hear the water running. Carolyn the owner is so nice and full of information for you if you need it. Thank you Mrs. Carolyn for sharing your little peace of Heaven with us.
