Great place to stay
The cabin was very clean. My family really enjoyed the porch and hot tub. It was very private but also close to the everything you want to do in Gatlinburg. I didnt have any issues getting up the drive way.

Beautiful cabin
I really enjoyed my time there. The cabin was beautiful and perfect size for my family. The location was great, very close to the Gatlinburg strip and Piegon Forge. A grocery store was only a few minutes away. Would definitely stay again.

Smoky Mountain Getaway!
Enjoyed the stay at the cabin. The cabin is cozy and comfy, and well suited for a family to stay in and enjoy some time together. Kitchen was well stocked with all items needed to cook (including a cast iron griddle!) A few items of note to potential renters: 1) The driveway is NO JOKE. We have an AWD GMC Acadia and making the sharp turn on the steep incline I could hear the transmission grinding. 2WD vehicles will struggle getting up it and if your are driving a vehicle with a longer wheelbase like a crew cab 1500 or are towing anything it will be a struggle, at minimum, to get up the driveway. 2) If you bring a dog there's not a grassy area for them to go on. We ended up walking our dog all the way down to the bottom of the hill to do her business. For a younger dog this would probably be fine, but ours is 10 years old and she did struggle to make it back up the driveway. 3) At 2:41am on our last night there I was woken up to a BAT flying around the bedroom I was sleeping in. To say this was alarming would be an understatement. We decided to just pack up and leave on the spot since we were heading out in the morning anyway. Ultimately, if I were heading back to the Gatlinburg area again I would choose a different place to stay largely due to the driveway situation and the limited area for our dog to take care of her business. Also, the bat situation. However, if those things aren't a concern of yours then you'll enjoy your decision to stay here!

I love the Smoky Mountains and feel blessed to have actually lived in Gatlinburg. I also love the bay and beach which I currently get to enjoy. I know how important it is to get away as family, as friends, or for a special celebration. Knowing that others get to disconnect and enjoy my cabin in the beautiful Smoky Mountains is so meaningful to me.

Why they chose this property

We love this neighborhood because it is very quiet, the people are extremely friendly and it is so convenient to Gatlinburg. It is also convenient to the greatest of restaurants, national park hiking, grocery store, Anakeesta, Ober Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge and the list goes on and on.

What makes this property unique

Staying in Black Bears and Rockin' Chairs is like living in the beautiful secluded hardwood trees with nature all around you as the beautiful black bears frequently stroll through our property. Drinking your early morning coffee or afternoon wine while gazing into the peak of beautiful Mt. Leconte is a memory that last forever!
