This cottage style home is situated in a very quiet neighborhood and an easy walk to downtown St. Helena. The year round climate is wonderful and perfect for drinking wine on the front porch or in the privacy of the backyard where there is a BBQ and large eating area.
There are two bedrooms with a Queen bed in each and French Doors leading out to the private serene backyard. The beds are high quality with high-end linens, down pillows and comforters. One bedroom has French antiques and a HD flat Screen TV with a Blu-Ray that offers instant feed (Netflix, Amazon Prime, etc) and the other has American antiques and a beautiful iron bed that belonged to Chynna Phillips and William Baldwin. The house is equipped with an Eternal-On Demand hot water system for ample hot water. One bath is a ¾ bath and the other has a large step in tub and double shower heads. The third room is now an office.
The home is extremely comfortable and tastefully decorated with attention to detail. There are Oriental rugs through out the house on hardwood floors and art from the U.S.A., Spain, Russia, Italy and other countries. The living room has a HD flat screen TV, Direct TV and Blu-Ray for instant feed (Netflix, Amazon Prime, etc). There are vaulted ceilings in the kitchen and living room.
The country kitchen is designed for a gourmet cook with a 36 inch Wolf range with griddle, Viking refrigerator, wine cooler and butcher block island. It is well equipped. There are Italian dishes and copper pots/pans by Bourgeat from France. On hand are all the essentials to cook including oil, vinegar, salt, pepper and a selection of spices in addition to flour, sugar and all the baking needs.
There is a music system in the office with high quality speakers in the main house and a wide variety of music. There is an adapter for Ipod and WiFi is included.

We are a retired couple who have lived in St. Helena for over 30 years. If we are not traveling in the summer you will catch us fly fishing on Rock Creek in Montana or in the winter sitting on the beach in San Pancho, Mexico. The rest of the year we live in St. Helena and enjoy the beauty of the valley and the access to great wines. We hope you enjoy our home in St. Helena.

Our renters that love to cook love our house! We have a gourmet kitchen with a Wolf range and an island great for prepping. You will have a choice of dining inside or outside, sipping wine and enjoying cheese in the front or the back, this house has a style that fits everyone.
We loved this house; it was charming, close to town, and had the perfect front patio for relaxation. We highly recommend it and will likely rent it again when we can come back.
This home was a great place to stay for our visit to Napa with my sister and her husband. We enjoyed walking through the neighborhoods and the proximity to everything. The back yard and the front porch were great for sharing meals, visiting and tasting wine into the evening. The kitchen is furnished with everything you could ask for -- in fact, we chose to eat at home for 3 out of our 4 nights! Communication with the owner was very easy and there were numerous suggestions for restaurants, shopping and wineries. We would happily return!
This is our second time staying at this propertyand we absolutely love it. The home is very clean and the outdoor living space is phenomenal. You also cant beat the location. Very easy walk to downtown St Helena with access to great restaurants, tasting rooms and shops. We planning on staying again the next time we are in town!
The Cottage on Hudson was PERFECT! We had 2 couples and we love to cook - the kitchen, cookware, appliances and sundries were the best I'd ever seen. We didn't need to buy anything additional, that we were cooking for a meal, except coffee.
The beds are super comfy and the couch is luxuriously soft! Nice linens, welcoming feel and fantastic front porch and backyard for grilling, eating outside, and just hanging out with a glass of wine.
We walked all over the neighborhood and to dinner one night. It was really the perfect location. Thanks!
This rental will definitely meet and go above your expectations. The property is very well maintained and there is plenty of outdoor space, front and back. The front porch is perfect to relax and enjoy golden hour or even the fog that comes over the area in the morning (there is a great mountain view across the street). The neighborhood is friendly and peaceful. The home itself is very eccentric, unique, and interesting. The kitchen is wonderful and has everything you could need. The beds are very comfortable and each bedroom has fan. The walk from downtown St. Helena is about .5 miles which was convenient and easy. The point of contact and owner's daughter, Tara, was easy to reach and responded immediately when contacted about an issue we had, which was fixed immediately. We definitely recommend and would return! Thank you!
We thoroughly enjoyed this bright and cheerful cottage and our time the wine country. We had fresh oranges, excellent kitchen appliances and gorgeous summer evenings in a beautiful yard. Many wonderful memories were made at this cottage. I would recommend this property and will stay there again! This was also a wonderful location.
Nearby Crane Park hosts our weekly Farmer's Market on Friday mornings. We have some of the best restaurants in the world within walking distance and hundreds of wineries in the surrounding area.
