Very welcoming and home -like stay
Fireplace, scale and privacy of the property, and well put together kitchen were so nice. We could tell that the family that owns the place takes great care of it. Christmas decorations were such a nice touch.
Communication from owner was very helpful in planning our trip.
Loved our stay. Pinetop is a wonderful vacation getaway. The weather was great except for some afternoon storms in July. Everything you need is within easy access io Bear Inn. The restaurants were great and plentiful. Lots of lakes in the area and wonderful hiking trails. Woodland Lake Park is within easy walking distance and a great morning walk around the pond.
Bear Inn is a lovely place to stay. Everything you can possibly need for your stay is there. We spent 90 % of our waking time at the cabin on the wide long front deck. Loved it. The wildlife (birds, squirrels, bunnies, jack rabits and deer) was plentiful and great to watch. One day a fawn walked right up to the front steps. It is private and quiet.
Fantastic place to stay.
A Wonderful Place for a Ski Vacation!
We stayed at the Pinetop Bear Inn during Christmas/New Year's week and absolutely LOVED the place! First off, the owner is a sweetheart and truly cares about your stay and experience. She made sure everything at the house was in order prior to our stay, and also made sure that we did not have any questions about our stay before we arrived. She even helped return my son's wallet to him after he inadvertently left it in the couch cushion. :-)
The house was immaculate when we arrived, which was even more amazing because there were guests in the house that morning. Everything you could possibly want was available in the house, from kitchen utensils and cookware, to bathroom necessities, towels, sheets, etc. I loved the small coffee maker in the master bathroom to get me started in the morning before the "main" coffee in the kitchen. We were able to cook a nice breakfast every morning before heading off to the slopes, and we spent every evening together in the "great" room, as it is the perfect place for families to gather. The house was decorated for the holidays too, which was a very nice touch, and the owner allowed us to park our vehicle in the garage, which helped with loading and unloading in the cold.
It took us about 40 minutes to get to Sunrise Ski Resort every morning, which wasn't too bad considering we were in Pinetop. The house is located off the main street, maybe 2 minutes tops from Hwy 260. It is conveniently located near a gas station, as well as some of the best restaurants in town. Everything in the house worked great, including the heat, appliances, and the WiFi, although if you have 4 teenagers all on the WiFi together, it does tend to bog down, but that certainly isn't the fault of the internet connection.
All in all, we felt that the Pinetop Bear Inn was the perfect place for our family ski vacation, and we will definitely be staying here again for our next Sunrise ski trip. I highly recommend this wonderful rental.
The house was in a great location in Pinetop and had everything needed for a wonderful stay. I would highly recommend it. The owner was great to deal with and sincerely cared about our stay.
We had a wonderful experience with our Pinetop Bear Inn rental. This was a mini vacation (4 nights) with grandparents and daughter, son-in-law, 2 grandchildren (6 & 2) and family dog. We found the cabin clean and well maintained. The proximity to Woodland Lake worked out perfectly. Since it was mid July we did have rain in the afternoon just about every day for a few hours, but this was a novelty for us since we all live in the Phoenix area. The children loved the toys that were provided and we all enjoyed the front porch and swing. We only ate out once at a German restaurant we had read about and looked forward to, but proved to be a big disappointment. The location was pretty and the salad was good and then it went way downhill. We ate at the cabin for the other three days and use the grill. Much better for the family. On Sat. my dautghter, son-in-law, and 6 yr. old grandson attended a talk about bears at the Wildlife Center and thought it was well done. They were disappointed they only heard 2 of the talks before the rain fell. All in all we had a wonderful vacation and would recommend the rental. The owner was very helpful and pleasant to work with.
Gotta stay here - location, location, location!
I knew from the moment I was contacted by the owner that we would enjoy our stay here. This was our first time renting a cabin and she really helped ease the way.
The home was fabulous and the location to all that Pinetop/Lakeside has to offer was excellent.
Being dog friendly was a plus-plus also.
There were many homes to choose from in the area - our expectations were exceeded by the hospitality shown by the owner. The house is beautiful and well maintained.
