Great Waterfront Family Beach House on Little Lagoon

Bedrooms 4
Space 1,700 sq. ft.
Property type house
Minimum Stay 3 - 7 nights

About the property

4 Bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms, sleeps 10

Bring The Boat, Jet Ski, Etc., Located on the best kept secret in Gulf Shores, this 4 bedroom, 2 bath home sits on the beautiful Little Lagoon- an estuary flowing into the Gulf of Mexico that is 9 miles long and about 1/2 mile wide at our location. Enjoy breath taking sunsets and quiet mornings watching the pelicans, osprey and herons from the great covered deck.

The home is perfect for single family getaways with 'lots of places to be'. The concrete area underneath is just the place for children on rainy days or just to get out of the midday sun. The private pier is great for crabbing or fishing ( a 4# flounder last week) or just sunbathing. Children will love splashing in the shallow water or scooping hermit crabs while you relax in the hammock or swing underneath the house.

Bring a cast net and catch your own seafood supper- we often catch enough shrimp casting the net off the pier.

Once You Stay On The Little Lagoon- You Will Always Come Back.

About Gail Harris

We are LAGOON LOVERS. We have owned our Gulf Shores property since 1985 and enjoyed watching our children and grandchildren enjoy countless hours on the pier, fishing, throwing a net, or crabbing. They have water-skied, tubed and been a million miles around the shores of the Little Lagoon. We are both retired abd now enjoy the revenue created by our second home and do some traveling ourselves.

Gail Harris purchased this house in 1996

Why Gail Harris chose Alabama Gulf Coast

We both feel THE LITTLE LAGOON is the best kept secret in Gulf Shores and it is perfect place for multi-family getaways. The house is equipped with everything you would need to feed our crew.

What makes this house unique

Private pier, covered deck for watching those great sunsets and early morning coffee. The deck is my favorite place of all. Underneath there are several sitting areas that afford a QUIET getaway should you need a break from the crowd. All is ALL, I think our house is the PERFECT place although it is not HIGH-END it is very comfortable and inviting and a great place to stay.

Fish, Nap, Grill, Chill....100% Fun

  • 5 of 5

My friends and I stayed here for a 4 day 3 night kayak fishing trip. Location is excellent. I really liked that it was away from the fast pace of Orange Beach. Having dock access to Little Lagoon was great. House is set up very well and had everything we needed to cook and eat on. The area below the house made for a great place to hang a hammock and take a mid-day nap. Gail is super nice and very accommodating. She even made a special trip to meet me and return some paddles that were left. Great house in a great location…will stay again for sure.

Great property close to the busy, but tucked away, perfect for busy family!

  • 5 of 5

Truly love the place. We took our three boys there and they had a blast. Spent half the day at the beach then came back to the lagoon to fish, crab, and swim. Highly recommend bringing or borrowing a cast net, bait bucket, along with some fishing poles. And if you can have you kids not name the blue crabs, we had caught at least 10. Unfortunately my youngest had named all of his....

Great house & location!

  • 5 of 5

Right off the main road with walk out pier access (not beach access). I loved to just sit outside on the upstairs back porch and relax! The kids enjoyed the downstairs Patio and loved crabbing. We very much enjoyed our stay here. Comfortable for 8

Year after year, the PERFECT stay!

  • 5 of 5

This was my 5th year in a row renting the Little Lagoon house and I will continue to rent it as long as they let me! The house is cozy yet roomy with LOTS of amenities. The house provides a grill, covered parking, a covered dock with sunning deck, wifi, cable, games, towels, outdoor furniture, an AMAZING view, and so much MORE! The location is absolutely perfect for getting around in Gulf Shores. Close to The Hangout, a number of restaurants and a general store. Also walking distance to the beach! This is the PERFECT vacation house!
