About John

Longtime Denver metro area residents, native Coloradoans.

John purchased this house in 2008

Why John chose Golden

We love preserving historic properties. We noticed the limited accommodations in Downtown Golden and are aiming to make this a special and unique place for travelers to Golden. And we're hoping to set the standard for vacation rentals. Hey VRBO, come stay here!

What makes this house unique

Adjacent to Clear Creek and walking distance to all Golden has to offer. Cross the bridge behind house into Vanover Park at the end of the kayak course. Two blocks from the start of the Coors Brewery Tour. Two blocks to the Golden Hotel. Great for parents of Colorado School of Mines students and wedding parties. And you are only 20 minutes from Downtown Denver.

Guestbook comments from the owner

We totally agree with everything that has been said in this guestbook. Perfect location, perfect accommodations. It was wonderful to have the whole family stay in such a nice house.

Two Thumbs Up

  • 5 of 5

We've stayed in the Brewmaster House several times over the years and we're never disappointed. The owners are great to work with and make the rental process very simple. In addition, the house is always clean, comfortable and meets all expectation. Oh, and the location is perfect for a Golden visit. Highly recommended.

Perfect for our family vacation!

  • 5 of 5

This house had everything we needed and the location was great. We were within walking distance of everything, even with a toddler. The owners have been very thoughtful in having just about anything you could need on hand. The extra bonus was the bunny that came to visit every morning.

This property was ideal is just about every way! It was very well stocked with basic supplies (spices, sugar, soap, shampoo, coffee filters, towels, sheets, etc). It is in a fantastic location within easy walking distance to downtown shops and restaurants. It has a great fenced yard for the dogs (but watch the back gate, which can be pushed open by curious mutts). The beds are comfortable, and the owner takes great care to give you all the information you need for your stay. There were games for the family to play when we weren't out and about, and he even left a safeway card for our use while we were there. I would highly recommend this location for a quick stay or a longer vacation in the area. It's a fantastic home!
