Longtime Denver metro area residents, native Coloradoans.
John purchased this House in 2008
Why John chose Golden
We love preserving historic properties. We noticed the limited accommodations in Downtown Golden and are aiming to make this a special and unique place for travelers to Golden. And we're hoping to set the standard for vacation rentals. Hey VRBO, come stay here!
What makes this House unique
Adjacent to Clear Creek and walking distance to all Golden has to offer. Cross the bridge behind house into Vanover Park at the end of the kayak course. Two blocks from the start of the Coors Brewery Tour. Two blocks to the Golden Hotel. Great for parents of Colorado School of Mines students and wedding parties. And you are only 20 minutes from Downtown Denver.

Great location, nice house, perfect weather
Could not be happier, great trip
Location is perfect
A very good Golden choice for our group of three. The layout allowed both togetherness and privacy. Being within walking distance of Golden restaurants was a huge plus as our days hiking and adventuring were exhausting, and getting back into the car to go to dinner was not appealing. The geese on the street were also fun to watch. We had everything we needed, dine in or dine out.
A great house located walking distance to everything!
We needed a larger home to accommodate family coming in for Mines graduation, and this house fit the bill! It is located on Clear Creek, walking distance to the Mines graduation ceremony, Coor's Brewery, shopping, GCB, etc. The house accommodated everyone easily. It was clean and well maintained with comfortable beds. We gave my mother the upstairs room with its own bathroom which was perfect. Having two bathrooms was important, plus a full size washer and dryer.
The kitchen was well stocked plus had pantry basics, so we didn't need to purchase everything. It has a large dining room table plus comfy seating.
The garden was great with plenty of outdoor seating. We grilled burgers the first night. We had our dog with us, so it was nice to have a fenced yard. The house also had dog bowls! Off-street parking was a bonus.
Our younger son said it was "the best house we had ever rented"! We are already thinking we should book it for 2020 Mines graduation!
Loved the house! Quaint, clean, well stocked and in a great location. The owners were very helpful with giving suggestions on what to do in the area and answered all my questions quickly. The house was very comfortable and spacious. Originally we were going to stay in Denver but we were so glad we changed to Golden. Would highly recommend to anyone.
