Our newly renovated and well-equipped cabin sits at the end of a dead-end road on three secluded acres including rolling lawn, woodlands, and a pretty pond. You probably won't hear another car all weekend. Yet we are less than five miles from Woodstock, the cultural center of the Catskills, with its galleries, theaters, festivals, restaurants, concerts, and boutiques.
Maybe you won't get back in your car for your entire stay - you can sit on one of our large decks, or screened-in porch, or soak in the hot tub, and watch deer, wild turkey, (and maybe even a bear) stroll by. Or walk across the road for a hike on hundreds of acres of public land. In the winter, build a fire in the wood stove, or go sledding down our own hill.
Or you might use our home as a comfortable base for all the cultural and recreational activities available in the area - hiking, rafting, skiing, swimming holes, are all nearby.
Wi-fi included. See link below for dozens of more photos.
Lovingly renovated by an artist, and filled with art, the house features new bathrooms, bedrooms, and kitchen, and tons of outdoor deck space.
We're less than two hours from the George Washington Bridge - and there's even a Trailways bus stop about two miles from the house. But once you turn into our driveway, you are in another world of quiet and relaxation.

Loved the feel of the house. Good vibes. Art everywhere you look. Beautiful setting.
We had a great reunion with two families. The house is really nice and close to Woodstock and beautiful hiking in the Hudson Valley. The house was a really comfortable home base for our group of 4 adults and five boys (2-10).
Wonderful weekend tucked away in the trees. The house was very comfortable for my group. Everything was very well maintained and ideal for relaxation. Woodstock is an extraordinary town, full of culture and life. I strongly recommend this property for anyone seeking to escape.
Spent a few days with a couple of friends and really loved the place. Relaxing and much needed.
My wife and I stayed here with another couple and our kids (collectively, four boys between 2 and 6 yrs old) over Labor Day weekend. The property is really gorgeous -- plenty of room to kick a ball around in the back yard and then there's the lovely little pond which the boys enjoyed exploring (toads, a flock of wild turkeys etc.) Town is a ten minute drive away, convenient and cute. We'd been to Woodstock plenty of times, so really we were just up there to escape apartment life in Brooklyn and enjoy nature. There's a hammock out front that was just wonderful -- both for playing with the kids in it and for taking a restorative mid-day nap. Great grill on the back porch and the jacuzzi was perfect for a grownups-only bottle of wine at night when the kids went to bed. The inclusion of all the sheets and towels is a huge plus and made packing easy; the place is very clean and easy to get around (so long as you can handle stairs etc.) My only knock is that it'd be nice if the owner allowed tenants to use the fire-pit...our boys were very interested and wanted to make s'mores etc, but it is clearly disallowed so we did not. I understand (since I used to own a place w fire-pit and not everyone knows how to manage a fire safely.) Still, kind of a bummer. That said, don't let that little quibble prevent you from renting this stellar property. owner was very easy to work with and communicates well with detailed instructions on everything (verging on the hilariously over-documented, but actually super useful!)
From the moment i contacted the homeowners i knew this would be a great experience. Michael and Anne have thought of everything. The home exceeded our expectations. Beautiful, clean and well stocked. I had a question after we arrived and immediately received a call to help me navigate the stereo,( im technology challenged). We even had a black bear sighting just to make our stay that much better. We had planned to go out to dinner but we were so comfortable we stayed in both nights. Would highly recommend this property.
