Overview

Catskills Cabin Rental Photos and Description

4 BR, 2 BA, sleeps 8-10

Our newly renovated and well-equipped cabin sits at the end of a dead-end road on three secluded acres including rolling lawn, woodlands, and a pretty pond. You probably won't hear another car all weekend. Yet we are less than five miles from Woodstock, the cultural center of the Catskills, with its galleries, theaters, festivals, restaurants, concerts, and boutiques.

Maybe you won't get back in your car for your entire stay - you can sit on one of our large decks, or screened-in porch, or soak in the hot tub, and watch deer, wild turkey, (and maybe even a bear) stroll by. Or walk across the road for a hike on hundreds of acres of public land. In the winter, build a fire in the wood stove, or go sledding down our own hill.

Or you might use our home as a comfortable base for all the cultural and recreational activities available in the area - hiking, rafting, skiing, swimming holes, are all nearby.

Wi-fi included. See link below for dozens of more photos.

Lovingly renovated by an artist, and filled with art, the house features new bathrooms, bedrooms, and kitchen, and tons of outdoor deck space.

We're less than two hours from the George Washington Bridge - and there's even a Trailways bus stop about two miles from the house. But once you turn into our driveway, you are in another world of quiet and relaxation.

If you would like to see more photos, please contact us.

Beautiful, secluded setting at end of dead-end road, Art-filled home newly renovated by an artist, Piano, Hot tub, Pond on property (not for swimming), Hiking on public land across the road, Screened rear deck, Large decks front and rear, Ceiling fans throughout, Sit on the deck and watch deer, wild turkey, (and maybe even a bear) stroll by. 55" UltraHD Internet Television with Netflix, Amazon, etc. (no cable or satellite - bring your laptop to stream content to the TV.) Wi-fi, SiriusXM satellite radio, and a stereo system for your iPod or CDs.) Property is a mix of lawn, woods, and pond area, bordered by beautiful old stone walls. House stays cool in summer.

This home was all that it was described, and more. Comfrotable well-equipped home. Several seprate living areas makes this home work well with groups, or an intimate get together. Enough shade to be cool in the summer, and close to the town of Woodstock for dining shopping etc. A wonderful find, we will be back!

Great Weekend!

  • 4 of 5

My friends and I recently came back from staying at Michael's home for a long weekend and we had such an awesome time! The house was so much bigger and more beautiful than we expected. Our main concerns were the one neighbor within an earshot and the house not having AC, but everything turned out fine. No complaints from the neighbor and the house stayed cool during our stay! We enjoyed grilling and relaxing in the hot tub - overall, I recommend! We will definitely be back next summer.

Beautiful Property...Highly recommend to couples, families....whomever

  • 5 of 5

From the start Michael the owner was wonderful. The pictures are true to the cabin. The decks were amazing. Coffee or wine overlooking the grounds was picture perfect. Also, not having television's was pretty darn amazing. Life does go on....haha. The free wifi and stereo systems an added bonus. I must say the cabin in a whole was perfect. We stayed for my sister's bachelorette weekend. The house was comfortable for 8 women. Thanks Michael for sharing your home. I would recommend it to anyone.

Best vacation house ever!

  • 5 of 5

This house has everything you could want and more. Perfect for groups looking to get away from it all. We stayed during a weekend of unseasonable cold and snow, and while we were worried the weather would put a damper on our fun, it ended up being even better than we imagined. Hot tubbing in the snow and freezing cold was both exhilarating and relaxing, something I will never forgot.

The views of the trees and the pond from the living room are absolutely stunning. Wood burning stove provided us with heat that made our stay very very cozy. Everyone had their turn enjoying the GORGEOUS, artist-tiled bathroom and gigantic bathtub. The house is beautifully decorated with a lovely aesthetic that I'd describe as modern taste meets rustic charm ("Cabin Chic"). I had a lot of fun examining all of the interesting art pieces that hang throughout the house.

Kitchen is great for cooking family meals and there are countless places to lounge, chat and enjoy each other's company.

The owner was unbelievably helpful and very responsive, both in the weeks leading up to our stay and during the time we were there.

This is my second time staying at this beautiful spot in Bearsville and I guarantee it will not be my last. Book now.

Awesome Home with Some Candid Comments

  • 5 of 5

Great place! Beautiful and spacious home in gorgeous woods, the loudest sound is usually the river. The owners, Michael and Anna, have cool art all around the place, comfy beds and sheets, a great hammock and a super cute upstairs bathroom amongst other homely things. They also have a lot of cooking toys and games which was nice. :) There's a nice sized back yard and river area to walk around and a kitchen/living room area with big windows and an amazing view of the sunrise! Plenty of space for everybody to do their own thing or hang out together. I interacted with Michael during the process, he was polite and happy to answer any questions.

I do have a few comments that I was reticent to write and don't consider negative but would have effected my decisions, so I'm mentioning them. For our situation, 8 young adults trying to escape nyc for a weekend, some of the process was a bit much in my opinion: There was some confusion with the "Book Now" price on the site and our money got returned with a new invoice for a slightly higher fee (for cleaning) included. Not sure what's up, but I suggest getting a quote first and an invoice directly from Michael. Also, the word "Secluded" attracted me as a great place to not worry about getting too excited noise wise. However, one of the first and ever present concerns we were presented with was with disturbing a near by neighbor. There were also more rules than a hotel; in the contract, in the house rules and on cute notes in the kitchen, all completely reasonable but they make you feel like you're paying to live at your parents house. I get the impression they've probably had some very disrespectful tenants and are covering their bases, but it kind of stressed me out haha. I mean, I had to remind my friends about the cleaning fee to stop them cleaning the house from top to bottom. :D I also missed an email and phone call asking us to turn the hot tub up for Michael's wife, but we had to wait for 4 days for the house keeper to go through the house to get our damage deposit approved for return. The reason why is explained in the contract but again, I just thought all of this was a bit much for 8 friends + short weekend. I imagine none of this would be a thing for a family or people staying for a longer period of time.

In conclusion, I recommend staying here!
