The ocean view is visible beyond the trees even from the ground floor and the view from the higher floors becomes progressively scenic. The living area opens on to a patio through 2 sliding glass doors to the pool. This large ground floor living area is convertible by a wooden retractable wall, creating a 5th bedroom with a pull out bed and private bath. Also on the first floor is a beautiful new kitchen, with stunning granite counter tops and giant windows that flood the room with tropical sunshine. It is not uncommon to see a troop of friendly monkeys in the trees next to the houses. It is a steal for the price and you'll have a time to remember. The town of Tamarindo is only a 15 minute walk or 3-4 minute drive.
Casa Lucky Monkey Master Suite: Casa Lucky Monkey Master suite with Amazing Panoramic views is a one bedroom Fabulous master suite (also with pull out couch that enables the suite to sleep four) its the third level of Lucky Monkey # 1 . The beach is a 10 minute walk or 2 minute drive. There is plenty of night life and great food and tourist attractions!!!!!!
Great value, lots of space.

Stayed 6 days in February, 2010
Website pictures don't do any justice to the house it was very spacious. Walking to town is a short 10 min. walk. A cab ride back will cost about $4-$5 but renting a vehicle is the way to go, it makes it a lot easier to get to the supermarket and such.
The town is being develop very quickly, and you can experience monkeys hanging out on the trees outside the house, at the same time a couple of small field mice made their way inside the house, this being a huge no no in the States but taking our surroundings into consideration is to be expected.
Great place!! I highly recommend it!!
We are a large Costarican familly who spent our new year vacation here and had a great time. The place is spacious, with so many rooms and bathrooms making it really comfortable for big groups. The views are fantastic, and the location of this place made it really easy for us to go to the different places this beautiful area has to offer. We plan to go again, and we are all looking forward to it. Totally recommend it!
I looked for a long time for a rental for my family as I wanted a more intimate setting for my vacation. This house was perfect. The management took care of every issue that came up. The house and pool area are very nice. Glad the driver pointed out the shortcut thru the woods to get to town. That was a tremendous help. The 1 thing that I have issues with falls under amenities. 1st- a small jaccuzzi tub is not a jaccuzzi. That is a jetted tub. Other than that we had a great time and I would recommend this property to anybody. Thanks RPM
We rented both homes for our group, beautiful homes in need of repair. We were handed 14 keys without any designation. The doors to bedrooms did not close correctly, blinds were missing in each of the 9 bedrooms and living rooms, 1 of the showers is broken so you cannot take a shower, refrigerator in LM1 does not work properly and air conditioning in LM1 is not adequate. There are other structure repairs which need to be made and red ants were a problem. Unfortunately, there was a break in and 2 computers and a cell phone were stolen. The slider door was actually removed from the frame. The homes are close enough to town and beach to be very convenient, the place just needs some work and additional security measures.
My wife and I made our first trip to Costa Rica and didn't know what to expect, when we got to the house and saw the beach and how close everything was we feel in love This was my birthday present and it was the perfect gift I've been around the world and I feel I've seen it all but I have a new favorite now it's here if you can book it bring your sunblock aspirin and party hat the food is good and the surf and views are better this place rocks
I vacationed in quite a beautiful country at a very beautiful villa called the Lucky Monkey in Costa Rica. Costa Rica borders both the Pacific Ocean and Caribbean Sea. The Lucky Monkey is located in Tamarindo, a town of beautiful nature, amazing beaches, restaurants and cafés. All of these gave me the possibility to have fine dining and vacationing. There were different types of cuisine from Mexican to Asian. There were places for golfing and tennis. I was impressed with organized local tourisms and very educated tour guides. We enjoyed a special tour on a river where I could see huge alligators, iguanas, and birds, but the best part of the trip was staying at the Lucky Monkey Villa. Two beautiful 3 story buildings with a swimming pool in between them with spectacular views of the beach and ocean. The villa is located next to the attractive park zone. I could hear singing of the birds and hollering monkeys. I can see them and holler with them from a balcony. I can see the panoramic view of the Pacific Ocean and the town. My room was spacey and comfortable, tastefully decorated with all necessities. Thank you Lucky Monkey owner for a beautiful place to stay during our well-organized vacation.
This was our very first visit to Costa Rica and much to my surprise, the experience could not have been better. The suites were clean, the beds comfy, the property and pool well maintained. The management took very good care of our group with lots of options and ideas for our entertainment. Our days were blissful starting with waking up to the sounds of birds, having our first cup of coffee on the terrace with a view of the ocean. In the evenings the sunset, the breeze and then all those stars were remarkable. We even took a day trip to Liberia with the bus trip being almost the highlight. We had the fortune of hearing the monkeys in the woods behind the houses. Seeing them in their natural environment was way better than seeing them on a tour. As you can tell, we would highly recommend the Lucky Monkey. It was beautiful, peaceful, restful and allowed us to be still, to truly enjoy the moment. But amazing how fast the time went.

Tamarindo is located in Guanacaste Costa Rica. It is a small quaint beach town located on the northern pacific side of Costa Rica. The town was made famous by the classic surf flick called 'Endless Summer!' Lucky Monkey Villa or Casa 'Lucky Monkey 1 & 2' is located just a short 2 minute drive or 12 minute walk to the beach or center of town in Tamarindo, the property is perched on a hill above Tamarindo bay, the ocean view is visible beyond the seascape sunset and is even visible from the ground floor and the view from the higher floors has up to a 220 degree panoramic view of Playa Grande, the Estuary, Tamarindo bay and even all the way to Playa Pinilla. Tamarindo has all the amenities of a Costa Rican beach town: surf, sand and sun. But it offers much more to many more. It is the ideal place for honeymoons and weddings, couples, and families, and wonderfully suited to eco-adventure. There are tours, scuba diving, fishing, hiking, all beach, all water sports, golf, tennis, canopy tours and much much more!!!
