Prewar Elevator, Doorman building with gym access. The studio is adorable: beautiful wood floors, two big windows facing a tree, sky and small street. The apartment faces south so it gets beautiful sun light. Queen size bed for two. Down pillow, down comforter, and fresh clean white sheets. Fully equipped kitchen to cook. Comfortable sofa and reading chair by window. Small cute dinning area for two people. Clean bathroom with a huge bath tub for two. Clean towels, nice soaps and shampoo. Lots of hot water and great water pressure. All my neighbors are very friendly and they will most likely smile at you and say hello. You will feel like you live here. You will get the best customer service. The doorman will do anything for you. I will be in downtown and provide any information you need so you can have the most pleasant stay.
I have traveled all over the world. When I am in a city and I am staying in a place that has bueatiful natural sunlight, a view, and is bueatiful and cozy I feel so much better. I can really enjoy that city even more. That is what I wanted to create for tourist comming to New york. My studio is bright, cheery, and I is a wonderful place to wake up in the morning and start the day
Timothy Mendes purchased this studio in 2009
I choose to buy a vacation home in Midtown Manhattan because of the location. I love having everything so close by. The theater district, Central Park , Brian Park, 42nd St Library. I love knowing that I can be anywhere in 10 minutes: whether it's to Greenwhich Village or the farmers market or to museum mile. Everything is close by. You are there in
I love the doormen here they are so friendly, I love the gym. I use it everyday. I love getting lots of sunlight. I love coming hope and taking a long bathtub. I love reading a book on my comfortable chair near the window. The best thing I like is my queen size bed. It is so comfortable. I love waking up and seeing the trees and sky.
I chose to stay at Tims apartment as my son had stayed a few months earlier and enjoyed his stay. I was not disappointed and also thoroughly enjoyed my stay.
It was cosy and spotless, comfortable bed, kitchen had all you needed and bathroom was very clean.
Its in a great location with easy access to Grand Central Station.
The doormen were excellent and vetted any unrecognised guests.
I felt very safe at all times which was Reassuring as I was travelling alone.
Tim was an excellent host and had lots of helpful tips and was contactable at all times.
I would highly recommend staying at this apartment and hope to stay again one day.
We found the stuidio to be sunny, quiet, clean and comfortable. No deceptions from the description or pictures on the web site..
The bed was very comfortable and the shower had lots of hot water and great water pressure.
The kitchen area was small but met our needs. We were able to brew our Peet's coffee every morning before we left the apartment to explore the city. There was no lack of places near by to have a drink, bagel, lunch or dinner. It was just nice to know we had a place to come back and relax. It's definitely better than staying in a cramp hotel room.
The doormen were very friendly an welcoming. We felt like we lived there.
Tim was quick to answer any questions prior and during our stay. He met us the first day to give us an orientation of the property and area. He gave us a lot of reccomendations on what to do and where to go. He shared his love for the city with us. Thank you, Tim for making our stay enjoyable.
The studio is just as described: sunny, clean and perfectly located east of midtown. It is on the 6th floor and quiet by NYC standards. The building gym is small but clean, and was either empty or had 1-2 other users when I went. The location of the studio is very convenient to the subway and Grand Central Terminal (5 minute walk), and there are great little eateries and coffee shops within 1-2 blocks. Tim was extremely hospitable and responsive, and kindly allowed us to check in early (at 7 am!) since we arrived on a red-eye from LA and the previous occupants had checked out the day prior. I will definitely try to stay here on future trips to NYC.
We recently went to NYC, and were hesitant to do the home-away thing at first. I reached out to Tim, and was immediately put at ease, he is very helpful, thoughtful and will take the time to answer your questions. Upon arrival Tim was waiting curbside, helped us take our bags up and show us the unit. He had travel books, and maps there for us as well, you could tell that he loved this neighborhood as he told us about all his favorite hotspots around the unit. He told us about the surrounding neighborhood and showed us how to get to Grand Central to get started.
The location is very central in midtown, honestly you're just as close as most of the hotels down there, you are very close to grand central, Times Square, and all the main roads, we were able to get wherever we wanted in the city very quickly thanks to Grand Central being less than a 10 minute walk away. There are tons of restaurants nearby, a grocery store to stock up on snack and waters, and some great bagel shops that we went to for breakfast every morning.
As for the unit, it was very nice, we really only used it to sleep and get ready, so we didn't spend a lot of time there, but for our purposes it was perfect. The kitchenette is small, but it has a stove, microwave and a fridge, perfect for leftovers or keeping your drinks nice and cold! It was so nice to be able to come "home" after a day of exploring and being able to sleep on a comfortable bed, after a hot shower.
We would definitely stay there again, between Tim, the unit was very affordable, and the location, we honestly couldn't ask for more. Thanks again Tim!
My wife and I stayed in this great mid-town NY flat to attend the US Open and spend 5+ days touring around Manhattan and nearby areas. We like to walk a lot and this location is perfect - centrally located and convenient to all directions. The flat was very clean, quiet (especially for its location in downtown NY), and Tim (our host) was always responsive and helpful with any questions we had. We would definitely stay here again!
The host, Tim, met us and gave us an excellent briefing on the apartment and the area. He was very responsive to any problem or inquiry. We were pleased to see that the apartment was both light and airy. We were looking out the window at a tree not another building. It is an older building with some quirks however, including a bathroom door that can't be closed and steps down into the lobby. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would be happy to return or recommend it to others who use mass transit or enjoy walking.
The apartment is located to all the winter tourist attractions that you see in the listing and much more.
Other Activities: People watching, live theater, live dance, opera, museums, gallery hoping
