Perfect getaway!!

  • 5 of 5

Stayed at this house for my 25th birthday weekend and it was AMAZING! The house looked exactly like the pictures, the lawn was freshly cut and well maintained. Kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed, we cooked a lot! The tv room in the basement is out of this world!!! Comfy chairs, great loud sound, and a huge TV!! Washer and dryer were great and very convenient! I didn't get a chance to use the master bathtub, we ran out of time but it was a good size tub! The area is VERY dark at night, but pretty cool when it's something your not used to. Hot tub and sauna on the deck literally made my birthday weekend perfect! Hot tub is a great size and very easy to get into. Sauna warmed up very quick and was perfect after walking around all day! we will definitely be back!!

Great for groups and couples

  • 4 of 5

This place was perfect for our family of three couples. Each couple had their own bedroom. My husband and I had the basement bedroom - it felt very private because we had our own bathroom. There is a loft bedroom but we didn't use it. If you are considering using the bedroom, you have to climb up a steep ladder so just make sure whomever is using it is able bodied. :)

The house is very cozy and it's in a very quiet high end neighborhood. It's close enough to Waterbury to be able to go to a local grocery story not even 5 minutes away if you forget anything. You could walk if you wanted to to Ben and Jerry's. Skiing at Stowe was about 20 minutes away.

We enjoyed the living areas, especially the big dining room table for family dinners. We used the the hot tub and the hi tech entertainment system downstairs. The internet was great! The house was on the warm side for us so we were never cold. The folks at HGTV would say that the decor in the house is slightly "dated" but it didn't bother us.

Our only word of caution is that the drive way can be quite icy in the winter. We rented a van and it did NOT have 4 wheel drive so we had some problems getting out. Fortunately for us we brought two cars. So make sure you have a 4 wheel drive vehicle to get in and out in the winter.

Bruce (the owner) is great to work with and we really felt like we were guests in his home rather than a cold sanitized hotel room, complete with his hand written notes. Thanks for a great vacation!

Perfect getaway spot!

  • 5 of 5

The Timber Frame home was the perfect spot for a weekend away with friends. Bruce's house is absolutely beautiful. Definitely a special place. There was plenty of room for our crew (10 guests) and everyone had their own private space. Bruce took the time to go through everything with me by phone upon check in and was kind enough to answer our calls about snow removal over the weekend as well. The hot tub and sauna were in great condition, the house was immaculate and so cozy. We didn't want to leave! But, we'll be back for sure! Thank you Bruce for sharing your beautiful home with us!

The property was well taken care of and accomidations were accurate to the post.

  • 5 of 5

We had a group of people who stayed in the home and were very happy with the home. Plenty of space for everyone and the home was kept up. There were appliances and other needs that were helpful for the weekend visit. The sauna, hot tube and pool table were very convienent and fun while we stayed. The beds were comfortable and there were plenty of linens to use. I would reccomend this home for rent especially if you are looking to be close by Waterbury or Stowe because of the close trip to nearby stores and down town- about a 20 min ride into Stowe. The owner was very helpful and kind with our needs and communication when arriving and departing. We will be renting again soon.

Great private getaway !

  • 5 of 5

Our family loved the Classic Post & Beam Vermont Home ! The property was private and a safe getaway for 6 adults and 3 children . Close to so much to do and see for summer fun and the state park was just minutes down the street for a fun day of swimming and paddle board rentals . The boys had a great day of golf on the course right around the corner . The house has everything you would need with a peaceful and private deck and the sauna was beautiful . So relaxing , we would recommend this house and give it a high 5 ! So close to so much to do in Vermont ! The owners are very helpful and easy to reach if needed . The large kitchen was a plus as we all enjoy cooking while the boys played pool in the man cave !
