Guestbook comments from the manager

My husband and I along with our two dogs enjoyed a weeklong stay over the Christmas/New Year's holiday. We had a wonderful time! The cabin was warm, cozy, well-equipped and exceptionally clean and well-stocked. Thanks to the wireless internet connection, my husband was able to work away from home, allowing for our "stolen" vacation. He hunted the area for ruffed grouse after breakfast, at lunch, and every evening. We also enjoyed a fire (after digging the pit out of a foot of snow :)), went sledding down the perfect hill just outside the back door (thanks for the sled!), and did a lot of snowshoeing. There's a 9-mile all purpose trail mere steps from the cabin. It is perfectly situated. The area was peaceful and beautiful. The folks at the general store were very friendly, as well. We truly enjoyed our stay. It was a perfect way to bring in the New Year and close out the old one! It's only about 10-15 minutes from Munising, as well. We love this area! Thanks so much for sharing your home.

Maple Ridge Review

  • 5 of 5

Out stay at Maple Ridge was great! There was plenty of room for our gear in the mud room off the back door. The basement had a lot of room for watching the Super Bowl and using the bar for making drinks. We made a few dinners while we were there and the kitchen and living room were spacious enough for the 6 guys that stayed. I am usually not one to comment on the decorating but the burnt pine walls and the heavy duty pine furniture was very impressive! We also needed to work on a couple snowmobiles so we were very happy to have the garage. Overall great place to Rent!!

Great snowmobiling accommodations

  • 5 of 5

Very nice, well maintained property with lots of room, big bathrooms, plenty of towels, a big fridge, dishwasher, satellite TV and high speed internet. A perfect base camp for snowmobiling that is close to the trails and room in the garage to put the sleds and has a country store with rentals a quarter mile up the road. The owner communicated regularly, we didn't have to ask for anything because it was provided. We will be back!

Loved the start of our New Year at Maple Ridge

  • 5 of 5

Took my family to the Upper peninsula for new years and to explore the ice caves and curtins in the Munising area. The place at Maple Ridge was wonderful, had everthing we needed. Loved the bar down stairs and the loft bedroom upstairs.

Absolutely perfect!

  • 5 of 5

What a perfect spot to spend a long weekend. The "cottage" (it is a home) was much more than we expected. Loved having all the conveniences of a fully stocked home including satellite, WI-FI, washer, dryer, dishwasher, etc. We were able to ride our side by sides right from the driveway to the trails. The abundance of chairs for outside was great for spending time with friends around the campfire. We'll be back for sure! Dealing with Lisa the owner was above and beyond. Thanks for everything!

Very clean and well appointed. We were bummed we didn't get the chance to use the fire pit. Owners responded quickly to all inquiries. We would definitely stay there again!
