Visitors world-wide love this beautiful 3100 sq. ft. home on the shore of Green Bay. It is decorated with wonderful antiques, unusual stained glass, comfortable seating with views of Green Bay. There is a large dining room that seats 12 , large master bedroom with a whirlpool bath, fully stocked island kitchen, large sun room with 8 skylights, and sliding Anderson windows only partially describes the interior. Outside. Well, where does one begin. There is a 20ft. motorized awning off the sun room. Also, there are 3 decks facing the water, bar-b-qua deck with gas and charcoal grills, spacious patios, gurgling water pond, outdoor chimera fire place with plenty of outdoor seating, picnic tables, pleasing landscaping with flowers and plants everywhere. Of course beautiful views of Green Bay, Plum and Washington Islands. Descend the one of a kind lighted spiral staircase to the lighted 70ft. pier *(Please be aware that because of high water levels of Green Bay / Lake Michigan our dock will not be set out this year. However there will be a water - side deck with seating.), sit on a bench with a cup of coffee and watch the sun come up over Washington island. Relax!
The Cro's Nest life: Watch the ferry and fishing boats go by. Fish. There was a 12 lb. Walleye caught off of the pier. Take a walk on the quiet, beautiful Wisconsin Bay Road and nearby trails. Walk to Gills Rock: shops, marina, ferry to Washington Island, and the Shoreline restaurant.

"This place is so magical. We traveled all around Door County and stayed in many different places and none of them stood out like yours did. All of the different gardens and seating places with views of the woods and lake made our visit at the "Cro's Nest" very special. Your collection of knick knacks and art from around the world makes a great conversation piece in every room. We look forward to visiting again."
We truly enjoyed the peaceful and natural beauty of the Cro's Nest. It has views and shore lapped ambiance that can't be captured in pictures. There was plenty of room to spread out in the large home for 10 people and lots to see and do in the area. While my teenaged son and nephews were thrilled to find a pool table in the basement and lots of places to bike ride and go fishing, I enjoyed other aspects of the area. This is a place where we experienced the sight of eagles while kayaking, a small fox crossing the street at dusk, black ducks gracefully flying forever only inches above the lake, white seagulls and Pelicans floating together peacefully and magically in the darkened night lake, and the very loud calling of a turkey at daybreak. We hope to return again and again. McCarthy family from Chicago
what a great week at cro's nest! Property was just as advertised and very clean and well kept! Owners were very responsive if needed and accommodative. Comes with our highest recommendation! Thanks kerpans for a great week!
The home was spotless clean. Plenty of room for all 7 of us. Really nice master suite. Beautiful view on the water with Washington Island in the distance. Backyard area was a bit buggy. Has a nice fire place in the back... The fire smoke solved the bug problem. We had a great stay!
This was a girls only trip in celebration of our 50th birthdays! Immediately when we entered the quaint rural setting we fell in love. The towns people are extremely friendly and welcoming. We had all the amenities at the house, plenty of room for us to have our own space. We couldn't get enough of the water front views. The weather was picture perfect, the water was like glass and you could see for miles. Had a great time watching the ferry go back and forth to Washington Island, and the many boats out on the water. We had a little baby raccoon frequent us and captured the cutest video. It was everything we could of asked for and much more. Sister's Bay is close with many quaint shops to visit. We enjoyed our time and hated to leave but have plans to return to this paradise. Thank you for having us!
We had a great 9-day stay here over July 4th. There were three couples (my parents, my husband and I and my brother and his wife). The house was plenty spacious for 6 adults and was great for spreading out. There are lots of cozy nooks to read or nap. The water views were amazing, and we spent lots of time watching the terns diving for fish off shore. We had fun using the fire pit to roast s'mores and renting kayaks and paddling from the dock (the stairs are steep, so we had to put the kayaks in at Garrett bay, but the paddle over was beautiful). The July 4th festivities in Gills Rock were fun, with a great fireworks display. The surrounding area is beautiful, and we went on numerous runs/walks in the area. All in all, it was a wonderful week, and I wish we could have stayed longer. We hope to come back soon!
I stayed at the Cro's Nest for a week in August with my adult children and we had a wonderful time. The view was breathtaking and we spent many days sitting by the bonfire watching the seagulls and pelicans. There was an adorable chipmunk that visited us several times. The house was fully stocked with everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. We only had to purchase a few toiletries and laundry soap once we arrived. We cooked or grilled on the gas grill almost every night and loved having dinner in the sunroom. The steps to the water were a little scary the first time I went down, but they were fine after that. I don't think I would recommend them for children though. My husband did a little fishing off the dock and caught several fish. We didn't swim off the dock since there wasn't really a beach area of any kind, but you could jump off the dock into the water if you wanted to or walk into the water on the large rocks. We swam at several of the local beaches and had a great time. The owner Jack was very friendly and helpful. The home was clean and ready for us to enjoy our stay when we arrived. We would definitely recommend the house. We all had a wonderful vacation and would be happy to return again in the future.
