We were lured to Golf Park, Cap Estate by the idea of living 290' above sea level. We felt it was a dream not only being able to bask in the breathtaking views, but being lulled to sleep by the sound of crashing waves. In 2004, opportunity knocked and we enthusiastically purchased the neighboring lot and built paradise II which we now call home; we just could not part with our cliff.
Privacy, Dramatic views, uninterrupted fresh ocean breeze, Indoor garden, refreshing pool, Great entertainment area complete with wet bar and stone BBQ, Cliff top Gazebo, Tranquil environment, Spacious living areas inside and out.

We stayed at Château devau during Diwali périod for 4 days current October We were two families travelling together. The property is fantastic, the area is beautiful and the pool and gardens are delightful. The way in which the stunning Rustic style house has been built and decorated is gorgeous - really charming, authenticity and character. The garden was tranquil and relaxing with spectacular views across the sea Watching the sun set in the evening was beautiful. We all enjoyed playing volleyball in the garden. We also had fun in the swimming pool. . We would highly recommend a stay at this beautiful place .These have already become best souvenirs in our lives. What a wonderful haven, nestling up in the cliff with views of the Sea and on the front island martinique and surrounded by rich tropical plants and flowers For a real getaway this is just awesome
Chateau Devaux was, for us, a wonderful place to stay. Our family of 5 (2 adults 3 children) arrived after a very long flight to be met by the friendliest most hospitable villa owners we've ever encountered. Nothing was too much trouble for them.
With regard to the villa - the photos do not do it justice! It was fabulous. It was very large, well-maintained, very clean and superbly decorated. The veranda (where we seemed to spend most of our time), runs all the way round the side of the property, with a view out to sea which is definitely a bit special. We loved the large swimming pool and decking area which also takes in that magical sea view.
There are many excellent restaurants nearby, plus beaches/resorts with watersports and lovely beachside restaurants (like Windjammer and Cotton Bay). A day trip to Soufriere is highly recommended, it takes a little while to get there but is well worth it and there are lots of interesting stopping points on the way.
Our family would highly recommend this villa. Whilst the 'all-inclusive' resorts are lovely, staying somewhere like this allows you to really see the Island and meet the very lovely, laid back, hospitable people of St Lucia.
Chateau Devaux is a very special place and we had a very special time there.
We were sadly disappointed with this property. The day we arrived, one bedroom and bathroom that was supposed to be ready for us, was not. They were unlocked and made up the following day. We were kept up the entire night by the neighbors' barking dogs and were shocked to find out the next day that the next door neighbor is the owner of this villa! The barking continued throughout our stay, which made for an exhausting trip. The pictures shown here are very outdated. Half of the plastic pool chairs are broken. There are no wooden loungers. The pillows on the gazebo chairs are moldy. There are at least 40 broken or missing tiles in the pool. All the planters around the pool deck and veranda are either empty or have weeds and dead plants in them. There are weeds growing up between the pool deck boards. The pool was 3/4 full and we were told that due to water restrictions, it could not be filled. However, when we dined out at various resorts, we noticed that all of their pools were full. It is a 2 hour drive from the airport and to the Pitons, which is the main attraction on the island. The volcano, sulfur springs, botanical gardens and diamond waterfall are also down by the Pitons. The attractions are very commercialized with entrance fees to each. We were bombarded by local merchants at all entrances and exits. We have visited 12 islands in the Caribbean and this experience ranks at the bottom. It's just so disappointing to spend so much money on a bad experience. In the future, we will definitely only rent properties listed through a management company where standards have to be met.
Our Eldest Daughter got Married at "Chateau Devaux" on 27th Oct 2013.
We arrived on 21st Oct and stayed for 2 weeks, Many thanks for allowed us to hold the wedding and reception at there Beautiful Villa.
This place was perfect for what we had in mind for a perfect Caribbean Wedding.
We had a wonderful Vacation and Wonderful Wedding at Chateau Devaux.
Maran and Richard made us feel so at "Home". Our requests were attended to very quickly and to our complete satisfaction :-).
Once again thank you for all your help to make our stay such a great one.
We will be returning soon. Best regards Myra, Ken, Family, & friends :-)
Our family of 5 adults (and some visitors) spent two months at Chateau Devaux and leaving was the only bad part of our stay. Maran and Richard and their staff were always available for great ideas, remedies to problems, etc. The house is such a lovely retreat. We literally lived outside on the expansive wrap-around veranda with its view across the water to Martinique. And the sounds of surf on the cliffs below was especially soothing for jangled city nerves! The house is in a quietly secluded residential neighborhood: no traffic noise at all. Chateau Devaux's location just cannot be beat, not only in terms of the ocean vista, but because of the close proximity to Rodney Bay's attractive amenities. Just a few minutes drive and traffic is blissfully easy, even if you aren't accustomed to driving on the left. Grocery shopping was outstanding and reasonably priced for US imports and local products were excellent.
The house is very well equipped and when I needed something, Maran was quick to help. It's clean and well organized, hugely spacious, and nicely furnished. Plenty of space for a large group. Internet wifi works very well, which was important because one of our sons has an Internet based business, so it was important to have a fast dependable connection. Aside from the pool, cleaned twice a week, the pool table and flat screens were great for home entertainment.
If I had to find a problem, it might have been the three little birds that seemed to think they were part of the family. We found that a plastic spray water bottle helped to keep them at a distance. Small price to pay for an outstanding vacation retreat.
This is a well cared for home with owners who are responsive and hospitable. Enjoy yourselves!
