Walk out the gate and your on the National Forest trail. Have you ever been to the Rampart Range Reservoir area - 5 minutes out of Woodland Park. Awesome National Forest area - with a large reservoir for fishing and oodles of trails. And then spend a day doing all the tourist attractions - 15 minutes to Pikes Peak Train, Cave of the Winds, Santa's Village, Garden of the Gods, Air Force Academy etc etc.

The cabin itself is nice and bright and sunny - pellet stove, living room - family room, and huge sitting/reading room off of the upstairs bedroom. It even has a loft area for the kids to camp out in.

Too many to list ... Pikes Peak Hwy or take the train, Cave of the Winds, Garden of the Gods, Seven Falls, Airforce Academy, Cheyenne Zoo, Santa's Village........... or head towards the mountains and visit Cripple Creek/Victor - our gaming town, not to mention one of the largest active gold mines. Mining tours available, good restaurants, and the views - well you will have to see them to believe it.

There is also a wonderful outdoor stone fireplace for your use - as long as there are not fire bans in place. Keep the fire low and keep the screen in front of it - so no sparks get away. It is right next to the National Forest - would hate to be the starters of a forest fire. Guest to supply there on firewood . many stores in town have bundles of wood for sale.

Great house and location!

  • 5 of 5

Our family had a great time staying at this house. The house is well stocked with kitchen items, has great views and the location is perfect for many things to do in the area. Highly recommend it.

Loved it!

  • 5 of 5

Very nice, spacious, great view of Pikes Peak. You feel like you are out in the country, yet it is a short drive to the heart of town. Deer grazing in the yard. Well stocked kitchen. The only thing we looked for and didn't find was a pizza pan, but we made do with cookie sheets. Everything was very clean and nice. The mattress in the bunk bed room is a little thin and works better for kids than for old folks. Also the loft area works better for kids than old folks. Unfortunately, we were more old folks than kids. There are no outlets and it gets a bit warm and stuffy up there so can't plug in a fan. A couple of the outlets in the futon area either didn't work or we didn't know the secret. But we managed. If you have more adults than kids, I would consider it a 3 bedroom that sleeps 6 . We called management mid week regarding a question about the garbage and they responded quickly and came the next morning to pick it up. They were very helpful and prompt. It was unusually rainy when we were there and the driveway is steep. It was washing badly, but I assume those ruts will be repaired when it quits raining. When we had a hard rain from the east the windows in the upstairs sitting area leaked. But again, it was unusually rainy during our stay,. Probably could use some caulking. Overall it worked good for our family group. Very nice location.

Nice place, but needs new grill and driveway needs repair. Need to remove some trees so you can see Pikes Peak. Over priced for age of house.

Owner's Response: Oh my goodness, we have never had a complaint about the views of pikes peak not being good enough. Did you see the views from upstairs..and just fyi, the owners had previously purposely removed some trees to get the best views possible. The pictures on the web site are as they are from inside the house. Thanks for your opinion on the grill and driveway we will take a look at those. The house is older, but in very good, clean condition, and nicely furnished. Have never had that complaint either. I sure hope none of these things affected the enjoyment of your stay. We will take a look at driveway, we have had an unusual amount of rain, so thanks for mentioning that.

Great property! Loved it!

  • 5 of 5

We were a family of 10 total. Plenty of room. The location was awesome. Great house! Looks just like it did in the photos. Wildlife in the yard. Trail to the national park in the back yard. Beautiful view of pikes peak. Lots of fun things to do near by. We did seven falls, cave of the winds, garden of the gods, royal gorge, and white water rafting! Would have loved to be able to stay longer and would definitely come back again!

Woodland Park vacation home. This was our second time staying in this vacation home!

  • 5 of 5

Woodland Park is a wonderful town. Many tourist attractions and restaurants close by, yet it remains a quaint beautiful area to stay in. This vacation home is amazing! Accommodating for large groups, set in a private area, rustic mountain theme, very clean and comfortable. Views of Pikes Peak from the decks are breathtaking. We were visited daily by deer, rabbits and chipmunks. Last time we stayed here, we had a red fox come on the deck to say hello! Lol. This is an awesome vacation home and we will definitely stay here again!

Excellent view and location.

  • 5 of 5

Our family loved this home and its location. Beautiful views and plenty of room to allow solitude. We stayed here the week prior to our daughters wedding at Edgewood Inn. She and her bridesmaids took a hike on the trail which was directly behind the house which was very convenient. We seen deer in the yard and very much enjoyed the cool weather. Thanks for sharing this beautiful home with us. We rent through Homeaway often and this home was one of our favorites.
