Lovely cottage

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed our stay. Had all the amenities we needed. Appreciated the beach chairs and towels. Had some nice dinners on the porch. The kitchen was well equipped. Grateful for the AC units as we were there for the one hot/muggy week of summer.

Annlee was very helpful with information for our trip and assistance should we need it. Luckily we did not have any urgent issues.

A dream come true in Jamestown RI

  • 5 of 5

This was a great family vacation. AnnLee was great, the house is super, the location is very nice. The only to thing to be aware of is that Jamestown RI is not a beach community, it is an Island.. ..If peace and relaxation is what you are looking for this is a great choice. Thank you AnnLee..... From the Colicci family......

Great Choice

  • 5 of 5

We rented Annlee’s adorable cottage for a long weekend for my husband’s 60th birthday. He had gone to college at URI and lived for a few years after that in both Jamestown and Narrangasett. I thought it would be fun for him to revisit Rhode Island. We had two other couples join us.

When we arrived, we found an adorable cottage which was just wonderful; it was clean, well-appointed and exactly what I was hoping. The cottage was equipped with everything we needed during our stay. The wrap-around porch was just delightful.

We ventured around the island and Newport and Narrangasett. It was just beautiful and the Oyster Festival in Newport was a blast!

I would highly recommend the Windward Cottage. Its owner, Annlee was an absolute pleasure to work with. She was welcoming, accommodating, and clearly wanted to make sure we were comfortable during our stay.

We all had such a good time that we are actually thinking of going back again next year!

Thanks Annlee!

Splendid visit to a lovely cottage!

  • 5 of 5

Our family (two adults, two grown kids) rented the Windward Cottage for a week of New England seaside vacation. We picked Annlee's cottage on a hunch, and all I can say is, I wish I had been buying lottery tickets that day! The cottage was delightful -- well appointed, pretty landscaping, comfortable furnishings, and perfectly quiet. It made for an excellent base to explore Jamestown and Rhode Island beyond Conanicut Island -- and it was a terrific place to retreat after a busy day. Annlee could not have been a better landlord -- determined to make sure we were as comfortable and as happy with our choice as we could possibly be. In short we strongly recommend the Windward Cottage -- you will not be disappointed!

A Week in Heaven

  • 4 of 5

Windward Cottage combines more than adequate living space with great outdoor accomodations with its very wide and extensive half wrap around covered porch. We spent a good deal of our time out there with NO MOSQUITOES, at least not at the end of August. Jamestown and Conanicut Island have rich histories dating from the 1630s, the Revolutionary War, but recovered and became a fashionable summer retreat while maintaining a near self supporting country atmosphere. Now with two bridges one can have his and her choices of what to do and explore in addition to the old forts and lighthouses on the island. The cottage offers communal living and kitchen rooms but private bed and bath spaces. A nice lawn surrounds the house in a quiet area of the the North End of the island. The owner could not be more congenial in working with us in the rental process and afterwards.

Wonderful Cottage & Exceptional Owner

  • 5 of 5

Our family - five adults - rented Annlee's beautiful cottage as a home base for our big pilgrimage to the Newport Folk Festival.

The cottage was wonderful; clean, beautiful, and well-appointed. There is everything you might need during your stay, including bicycles and to-go coffee cups! The blue hydrangeas on the property were really showing off & we even spotted a quite healthy groundhog while sipping our morning coffee. A truly delightful cottage.

We did venture around the island via bicycle. We spent a terrific few hours at the Beavertail Lighthouse & enjoyed the small town island life. Most of our time, however, was spent in Newport. We couldn't resist going to La Maison de Coco everyday for the best scones & coffee. We also loved the White Horse Tavern & Pour Judgement for afternoon cocktails & appetizers.

Jamestown & Newport were enchanting. I would highly recommend the Windward Cottage because of its owner, Annlee. She was an absolute pleasure to work with. She was welcoming, accommodating, and clearly invested in our comfort during our stay. I didn't doubt our accommodations prior to our departure, in part, because of Annlee's attentiveness during the planning process.

Thanks much, Annlee!
