About Gigi Brown

I am a retired interior design professor. A devoted yogi. For 37 years in this dear home and it still remains my sanctuary. The home has lots of character. I have been blessed. Bayou will love it too.

Gigi Brown purchased this house in 2007

Why Gigi Brown chose Tucson

I choose to rent some of my home because of too much house. It's now like a duplex, separated by enclosed hall and utilitie room.

Remember thick adobe walls, the areas of each house parts are not attached, just passage way with locked doors at either end of passage hall.

What makes this house unique

Your guesthouse is the main residence and very private, although semi attached to east wing where I live. You have your own patio, next to the pool which we share and back yard.

The best benifit is location. Close to everything.

You will be in the very center of Tucson, a short hour drive from Mt. Lemmon, there is a ski reort, and yes in winter, sometime you can ski our 9000+ ft mountain. Also, two minutes drive to a great golf course. Minutes away from University of Arizona campus and three major hospitals, UMC, TMC and St Joseph's.

Our location is within walking distance from the Speedway and Alvernon intersection.

Just right!!!

What a fantastic place! Very centrally located near the University of AZ and super comfortable. The casita is very well decorated, the kitchen is very well stocked and the beds are very comfy. We loved staying here and only wished we had spent more time in the casita than we did, as we were out and about the majority of the time. To top it all off, the owner, Gigi, is delightful and very helpful while maintaining total privacy for guests. Corresponding with her to set things up was a breeze too!

I highly recommend this spot. Plenty of room and very quiet and peaceful. An oasis of calm and comfort in cnetral Tucson!

Great Place

I stayed at GiGi's place in April 2013.

Nice place, tastefully appointed, clean and furnished with whatever you need. Good neighborhood in central location...

Gigi is very personable and pleasant to deal with.

Absolutely Perfect!

  • 5 of 5

I cannot say enough positives about my stay at the "Royal Palms II". The owner, GiGi Brown, was extremely gracious and helpful, although she was only available when needed. My room and the facilities adjoining were immaculate and exceptionally comfortable — about 5 light-years better than a hotel. If you like comfort, privacy, feeling at home, elegance yet informality in a perfect location for Tucson, then this place will suit your needs. I can hardly wait to return for a visit to Tucson so I can stay there again. Thank you for helping to make my visit safe, carefree and memorable.

Our stay in Tucson was our first winter excursion after retiring a year ago. We found Tucson to be a wonderful change from cold snowy Kansas. The Royal Palms II was everything we could wish for; it was very well located for easy access to all areas of the city and various hiking trails, a main interest of ours. The location is close to most amenities we needed for our months stay. The owner was most helpful in making recommendations for shopping, sights of interest and restaurants. The house was spacious, well appointed, convenient, and clean. It met all of our need for a home-away-from-home. We will definitely consider returning in the future.

I have just returned from a very pleasant stay at this property (March 2007). The house was nicely decorated, spacious, clean and very comfortable. The private patio with BBQ, large dining room, well equipped kitchen and access to the pool were great. The unit is centrally located and only a short drive to spring training baseball, golf and downtown shopping. There are grocery stores, restaurants and other shopping close by as well. The owner, who lives in an adjacent property was very helpful with information on Tuscon and a very pleasant host . I enjoyed my stay very much and have already booked the home for next year and look forward to future visits. I highly recommend this property as a great place to stay in Tuscon.

We had a wonderful time during our visit to Tucson. The home was wonderful-just as pretty as the pictures; very quaint, clean, and quiet. It was great to have access to a full kitchen, grill, tv etc. and the location was great-convenient to everything. We spent every morning having coffee in the private courtyard while Gigi's cats came over to pay us a visit. Gigi was helpful and friendly. We were very happy with the property-only thing is the second bedroom is not a queen as stated, but a double. We had a great time and would definetely visit again!
