Pipes Cove House Rental Photos and Description

House, 5 Bedrooms + Sleeping Porch, 3 Baths (Sleeps 7-10)

The centerpiece of this family owned waterfront estate, “The Main House” is a neo-Victorian 5-bedroom, 2-bathroom charmer that comfortably sleeps 8 - 10 people. The panoramic porch with stunning water views, the spacious living room, the large dining room and kitchen and expansive outdoor patio and deck make this vacation paradise one of a kind. Whether you’re planning a family reunion or looking to escape to the natural wilderness of the North Fork, this house has it all. Stroll along the estate’s private beach or have picnic overlooking the water. The beautiful tree filled grounds are complete with pristine views of the bay and Shelter Island. With room to roam and nature to explore, the property is both kid and pet friendly. The house is fully furnished and linens are provided. The house is quiet and secluded, yet within easy walking distance to Greenport Village, offering the best of both worlds.

With a strong nautical history, Greenport is a water-lover’s paradise and the perfect destination for sailing, boating, fishing, swimming, kayaking, and canoeing. Mitchell Park Marina is just a short walk from the estate and provides transient slips by the day or week. Please call in advance for reservations to secure your spot. While downtown in the village of Greenport, explore the local boutiques and stores. Take advantage of the history-rich Railroad, and East End Seaport museums. Ride the antique carousel, or take a tour of the harbor on The Glory, an electric launch. Sample the local bounty from land and sea in a variety of restaurants offering casual fare to award-winning dining. Tour the over 42 vineyards located here on the North Fork. Discover the art galleries featuring local and international artists who represent the contemporary to the classic. So much tucked into one square mile and all conveniently within walking distance!

Greenport's proximity to Manhattan, Connecticut, and the South Shore means you don’t have to go far to get away. Enjoy a casual drive from the city, or let the LIRR or Hampton Jitney carry you here stress free. Either way there is something for everyone, so come and experience what makes Greenport charming and unique. For more information about Greenport and all it has to offer, please visit the official village website supported by the Greenport BID. Make sure to enter Greenport Village in your search. The estate also offers additional accommodations that when combined can be perfect for family gatherings.

Waterfront Luxury

  • 5 of 5

This beautiful home is right on a private beach with spectacular views of the Peconic Bay and Shelter Island. If you want to feel like royalty, book this gem. Lots and lots of room - 5 bedrooms, 3 baths - and luxurious furnishings - even a sauna. Walking distance to Greenport. We stayed for a week in 2014 and in June of 2015. What a treat!!

Wonderful home, a true retreat

  • 5 of 5

This review is slightly belated, and written now as it's been almost five months since visiting "the Main House" and it's property and I'm going through serious withdrawal! We have been coming to this property regularly now for more than 5 years and I can say without reservation that it is a true gem, one of the most wonderful places we have stayed in around New York and even much further afield. The property itself is unique: while it's a short and pleasant walk into town, one feels very much secluded on the farm, resulting in a very real feel of a get-away from the hectic realities of every day life. The house itself is a haven: spacious, with several areas for communing with a group while also offering several nooks throughout the house for some peace and quiet. We have been coming regularly with groups of friends -- 4 to 5 families, all with young children -- and the unanimous feeling is that this is a very unique and special place. Where else can one walk a few steps from the house to a private and secluded beach; or BBQ just off of the bay; play frisbee in a spacious garden overlookign the sesa; or wander along a beautiful, natural marsh complete with herons? The owner has consistently been very friendly, responsive and gracious; we enjoy his company and hospitality and have enjoyed learning about the area from him. He has gone out of his way to ensure that we feel at home and that we have what we need. We have come back to this home time and time again -- it's something that we, our children and our friends look forward to, and we are already looking forward to our summer time visits!

5 Star Experience -

  • 5 of 5

This is my dream vacation spot! Live like a celebrity for a week and get treated like royalty. Besides the outstanding property, house, views and endless activites for individuals/families.... the owner Pat goes out of his way to make you feel at home. Pat knows all the details of the towns and restaurants as well as all the nooks and cranny's that the property offers. Activities for adults, children or entire families to engage in without ever having to leave the property. The house has clean linens and spotless when you enter and Pat is always on the property for immediate assistance, advice, or great company. He is very accessible and responsive to any emergency's or immediate needs. Great to either relax with picturesque views or have the ability to interact with other families and form lifelong relationships! Enjoy the town, but have the ability to escape back in this "Great Gatsby" property.

The overall experience makes you never want to leave and go back to the real world. A piece of heaven at the end of Long Island!!!.

Unfortunate consequences

  • 3 of 5

We stayed at the main house during late October. While the stay was wonderful and the property beautiful for families and children, in informing the owner of a problem with the toilets, we were nearly accused of causing the problem. It was shocking. The owner failed to follow up on messages sent immediately following our stay in relation to an item left behind, and only in follow up messages to the owner did he reply with further accusations and semantics related to the toilets. We will take our business elsewhere in the future. It's unfortunate when you try to do a good thing by informing a business owner about an issue to help them ensure their future guests are comfortable, it comes back to bite! Otherwise, the house itself is lovely, perfect for multiply family stays.

Family reunion from all over the US

  • 5 of 5

This is a fabulous location for family reunions. We had both my mother's family and my father's family over on different days. We played kickball, soccer and volleyball on the lawn. I felt Gatsby-esque with the wide lawn sloping into the beach and Peconic Bay. The house is convenient to town and has a fun decor. I hope we can return for another reunion!

Total Relaxation for the Whole Family-Can't Beat the Setting or the View!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed here for a week at the end of the summer with another family, and we all had one of the most relaxing and enjoyable vacations we've had in a long time--so much so that we've already booked a week for next year! The house is quite large and rambling, with plenty of room to get away from each other if need be, but also with great communal spaces to hang out, play games, and eat together. The setting is spectacular--right on your own private beach with a GIANT lawn to play games and run around on, with beautiful views across Peconic Bay. It's also conveniently situated quite close to town and to the ferry to Shelter Island, while still feeling like you're miles away from civilization.

The house was well equipped, comfortable, and clean, with plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms. Pat the owner was very accommodating and helpful, making sure we had everything we needed, and giving us great recommendations for food and activities in the area.

Everyone in our party had a an awesome time--from the youngest kids to the oldest adults and everyone in between. Even the dog had her best vacation yet! We couldn't have asked for a better week.
