|Minimum Stay||3 nights|
Our waterfront home has a magnificent view of the Caribbean Sea. Totally secluded, it's merely steps away from the crystal clear water. The elevated porch offers panoramic views of Balara Bay, Cupid's Cay, Levi Island, unbelievable sun rises, and spectacular sunset vistas.
Caribbean Blue has an open, airy feel to it and is tastefully decorated in a tropical decor equipped with all the amenities to ensure a comfortable stay. The house has three bedrooms: 2 masters with attached bathrooms and a third bedroom with twin beds that convert to a king. Enjoy paradise lounging beside the seaside, sipping a frozen concoction as the aquamarine water soothes your soul.
Easy access to the water is available from the property for fabulous snorkeling on Balara Bay. There is fishing right off the property for grouper and snapper. Levi Island is directly across from the house and is one of the island's bone fishing hot spots.
Governor's Harbour is a small, quiet town on the Family Island of Eleuthera, offering a collection of distinctive colonial homes, historic churches, and colorful Bahamian buildings.
You will find all the services you need in town: grocery stores, gift shops, post office, banks, gas station, dive shop, liquor stores, internet cafe, and bakery. There are also several good local restaurants to chose from and a few local bars.
There are no casinos or flashy nightclubs on Eleuthera; the island has a sedate, relaxed atmosphere.
The island of Eleuthera is 110 miles long and is, on average, only two miles wide. The entire island is ringed by spectacular beaches, most of which are hidden and totally secluded.
There are many interesting settlements up and down the island. In addition, you will be able to enjoy fabulous fishing (deep sea and bone fishing), snorkeling and scuba diving, shelling, or you can just relax on the elevated porch.
Our family spent Thanksgiving on Eleuthera and celebrated our father's 86th birthday. The house sits just a stones throw above the Caribbean Sea and is so secluded it was as if we were on our own private island. When not exploring the island, we enjoyed relaxing days snorkeling right in front of the house, fishing, kayaking around Levi Island and sitting under the palyapa watching for the "green flash" as the sun set into the sea. Mornings started out with coffee on the porch watching for dolphins and we also ended our nights on the porch counting the falling stars in the crystal clear sky, light pollution is not a problem!!
The island itself is amazing, so easy to find your very own secluded beach to spend the day swimming, snorkeling, relaxing and beachcombing for treasures. Governors Harbor is a short drive from the house and has several grocery stores and places to eat. Not to be missed is the Friday fish fry and street dance, where you will get to experience the Bahamian culture and people.
The house itself is beautiful, with a well-equipped kitchen, comfortable living quarters, and nice sized bedrooms. The owners have organized all kinds of detailed information about the island from what are the nicest beaches to where the best places are to eat. They really have thought of everything to make your vacation at Caribbean Blue remarkable and one you will never forget. The booking and reservation process was very easy, they truly make it a breeze to enjoy their little piece of paradise.
We hope to return, there are so many more beach to discover, enjoy and explore with Caribbean Blue as home base.
Caribbean Blue is an awesome place to stay. The location is stunning and the house has everything that you could ever need during your stay. It's hard to tear yourselves away from the house as its so relaxing, but Eleuthera has some stunning beaches.
Very romantic too.....My husband to be proposed to me here...I said yes of course!
My husband Chris and I decided to stay on Eleuthera for our 11th wedding anniversary. While looking online we came across this beautiful home right on the water. Right from the start Kerry was very attentive and responsive. Any questions we had were answered right away and making the payment online for the home was easy and secure. She got us in touch with Barry to rent a jeep while there. When arriving to the island Barry was there at the airport to greet us and help guide us back to the house in the jeep we rented. We all stopped along the Queen's highway to grab fresh conch salad made by one of his friends. That immediately set the tone of the trip. Everyone was so friendly and it really allowed time to stop for Chris and I. Driving to the home was easy. When we got down the driveway (which is down hill) we saw the beautiful home right on the water. Kerry had everything we may need in the house and for the water. Many nights Chris and I would sit on the porch listening to the water and watching the sky. Very peaceful! There is a kayak there too. The house is very private, we felt very secluded the whole trip. You must rent a car to see the entire island. Chris and I went from the very top of the island, to Harbour island, to the very bottom where lighthouse beach was. Kerry has a book in the house called the "Elusive Beaches of Eleuthera", make sure you grab it for your adventures! Our favorites were lighthouse beach, blue hole, rainbow bay beach, queen's bath, and glass window. The home is perfect because you are right in the middle of the island making it easy to go to North or South on the island. There are tons of places to eat and a few grocery stops to be able to cook at home. There is anew beach to find every day and on most days we were the only people and footprints on the sand! Our time on the island was unforgettable. We are so thankful for Kerry and Berry who made it so easy for us to have our anniversary adventure. Thank you!
The first impressing you get when pulling into the property is seclusion and beauty that just takes your breath away.
My husband, 3 teenage boys and myself stayed at the property a couple Of Christmases ago and just recently returned from a 9 day stay, taking their aunt along with us this time.
Our oldest son just graduated high school. We gave him the opportunity to go anywhere he wanted to for his senior trip, he chose going back to the Bahamas with his family and wanted to stay at the same property. His words were "mom let's go where we know everything was perfect before and there will no surprises". And it was perfect!
They have the home equipped with everything you can possibly need while vacationing in the Bahamas! It is very clean and beautifully decorated. We recommend this for a family or just a couple get away. If you love to fish, snorkel, swim, kayak, sunbath, Enjoy peace and quite away from all the craziness, etc.....
The caretakers of the property are amazing and Will go out of their way, to help you in anyway they can to make you feel welcome and make sure your stay is a great one.
The town is very small, if you're like us that is perfect. And everyone has always been so incredibly friendly to us.
You will not be disappointed with this island, Community or property. If this sounds like what you're looking for, You have picked the right property.
My father and I stayed at Caribbean Blue over Memorial Day weekend. The house was beyond our expectations. The location is perfect, right on the water, 5 minute drive into town, perfectly secluded. We were met by Lachadra, as we had rented an SUV from Barry and herself (also caretakers of the home), and the process could not have been easier. The house was very clean, and included everything you could possibly want for a vacation. There was a great sound system for playing music, the kitchen had all utensils and cookware, and there was even a nice collection of spices from previous tenants. The home would be perfect for families, or anyone for that matter. We were very happy with our stay and with the help and attention we received from Kerry, as well as Barry and Lachadra before our stay. We highly recommend this rental to anyone looking to visit Eleuthera, and it is the perfect location to explore the island from.
Your home represented abundance, an abundant spirit that gives freely of love so that others can experience joy.
The sea also gives like this but we understand it's limits. We tried to respect this when we fished, when we entered in the water.
We hope we have left your home respecting the limits of your abundance
