Emigrant House Rental Photos and Description

Vacation Home, 3 Bedrooms, 2 Baths (Sleeps 6)

The Yellowstone Sunshine Chalet sleeps up to six (6) and is your perfect getaway for quiet seclusion and restful rejuvenation. It is peacefully remote and the south facing views are breathtaking looking out over Paradise Valley, Montana. Sunsets and sunrises are especially spectacular and you are surrounded by mountain peaks on all sides. Wildlife abounds and it is especially fun identifying the different animal tracts that you see along your hike. Carbela boating/fishing/swimming access is just 5 minutes from the vacation home. Yellowstone Park is just a 20 min. drive and if you want to try out the famous 45th Parallel Hot Springs pools, it is just 10 min. from the north entrance of the Park (also known as Boiling River to the locals).

There are two bedrooms with queen beds and comfortable settings upstairs . Both upper bedrooms have their own reading area plus private deck. The downstairs bedroom has two twin beds and has some children's toys, puzzles, stuffed animals and doll baby plus a few books. There is a portable baby crib that could be set up in either of the upstairs bedrooms. A little baby chair is available to sit on a regular kitchen chair to use also. (There are no additional sleeping areas available.)

The upstairs bathroom has a Vidal Sassoon hair blower and a curling iron available for your convenience.

The kitchen is fully equipped with all the necessities to make your favorite meals. Included is a roasting pan, microwave & grilling oven, waffle iron, 12-cup coffee maker, crockpot, coffee grinder, electric popcorn popper, baking pans/utensils, dishes, glasses, and insulated travel cups are provided as well.

On the deck which wraps around half of the house is a Perfect Flame 3-burner Propane BBQ grill, large patio table with seating for six where you can enjoy your meals during the warm summer evenings. This is the perfect place to enjoy the morning sunrise with a cup of fresh brewed coffee or see the sunset as it slides down behind the mountain peak after a busy day enjoying the area!

Amazing Family Yellowstone Vacation

  • 5 of 5

What an absolutely amazing place to stay. The view alone is amazing. This place is secluded but also 20 minutes or so to North Entrance of Yellowstone. The house was clean and had everything we needed, we used the gas grill every night and it worked great. There are many spices to use and there is adequate place settings, silverware and cups/glasses. We drove up the road past the house for a ways, cool views. We also went up the forestry service road to the south. We saw 6 bears up there. We had a 4 wheel drive truck which was great for exploring. Our family didn't want to leave. If we come back to Yellowstone we will stay here again. Just a magnificent! I can't say enough amazing things about the house, Gail or the location. Just beautiful.

Lovely location, great home!

  • 5 of 5

What a great place! We fell in love with the Chalet online and it did not disappoint in person! What a great home, beautiful location, the driving up the side of the mountain made me a little nervous, but the home was worth it. Clean, comfy beds, and all the extras were accounted for - from shampoo to ketchup! It was like we were crashing at a friends house. You can tell the owners spend time there and make it as comfortable for their guests as they do for themselves, what a big difference compared to other sterile rentals.

Our only regret is that we couldn't spend more time there. The views were amazing all times of day, though we didn't spot any of the wildlife we had hoped we would see near the cabin, further down road we did see deer. If we didn't have a standard rental car, we would have ventured down the gravel forest road more. The one tiny thing we won't miss is the pungent well water, but such a small thing to deal with. The place was immaculately clean, we enjoyed Paradise Valley immensely, including Dailey Lake where we met up with friends from Bozeman. The Emigrant General Store was fantastic for other groceries (such a small store crammed full of goods, including organic!). The cashier even gave me tips on how to prepare our ground bison meat! On Sunday we drove up to Paradise Valley Community church just north of Mill Creek on River Road. People were great, everyone in the area was super friendly. My only recommendation would be to invest in a booster seat for the home - our 4 year old had to sit on a pillow to reach the table, but we made it work. Lots of great books and toys there for him to play with as well.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your lovely recommendation of our vacation Chalet. We are delighted to share our "special spot" with others during the summer and are pleased that you felt "right at home." The smell from the water you mentioned is sulphur because we are so close to Yellowstone National Park and the Hot Springs. So glad that you were able to visit us and let us know if you are in the area again, we'd LOVE to have you stay!

Pictures just don't do this property justice!

  • 5 of 5

I can't say enough about the property, its location and the owners. It was a short drive to Yellowstone, the pictures of the property simply don't do it justice. Every morning we had deer outside the property and bluebirds waking us up. Can't wait to go back for a winter vacation

peaceful and inviting

  • 5 of 5

My kids are missing the place and so are we. It was pretty and tastefully decorated. Very well equipped with almost everything we needed, and that's extra ordinary. Gail was friendly and helpful every time I contacted her. We'd love to go back at Sunshine Chalet.

Our home is a little rustic but private and very quiet. It is wonderful to wake up to hear the birds singing-you might even catch a glimpse of the resident eagle! The view is really spectacular and the deck is wonderful to enjoy a quiet moment or enjoy your coffee first thing in the morning as the sun rises or in the evening when the sun sets.
